  1. Nothing but love for the entire Pegula family Been watching this thread for about a week now, and haven't responded yet because medical speculation is always weird, but hey, no news might be good news to some extent yeah? When this first popped up I was bracing for an emergency. No doubt that the possibility may still be there but it would seem she's somewhat on the mend hopefully considering no serious updates
  2. Since this has turned into examples of general sports dominance I want to take the chance to state that Rickey Henderson had underappreciated dominance. Dude just made up his own baseball. 130 steals in a single season!
  3. Cool thread. If you're basing dominance on comparing the player statistically to the next best player in the same role, which I think is a fine way to do it, then I wouldn't doubt if Justin Tucker belongs in the conversation somewhere. I think I've seen some crazy stats about his long-term FG% being well beyond that of other kickers.
  4. Glad I'm not the only one, although perhaps we need to adjust our medications based on the majority of responses in this thread. Got to assume post, because he did all of the illegal things after Josh was drafted, in which case I'm missing something. Will comb the thread again but why are we signing Watson if we have Allen? I think the thought exercise is to ignore all current reality and imagine what you'd do if there was no Allen, in which case, we'd be closing in on year 30 of the drought and more people than who would like to admit it would be pretty optimistic about having a real QB. If we signed him after Allen, I'd just be like this is incredibly dumb why are we signing this dirtbag when we have the best QB in the league, but I'd still watch every game. I'll read the thread again.
  5. I think I've finally shed the 15 pounds or so I gained during last season. Circle of life. Will be flying in for what used to be an annual game for the first time in 3 years. Feels like about a decade. Can't wait
  6. Saw the thread title and was hoping Pete Metzelaars would be joining
  7. Tua sucks and Tyreek Hill will have sub-1200 yards and will be upset about playing second fiddle to Waddle. Waddle is a target hog that has a connection with what we've seen to be a tentative, singular target-focused QB. Tua will not impress of course, but I guarantee that Hill will have his worst year. He may not speak out, but he will be unhappy by about Week 9.
  8. Congrats Jessica, it's a pretty big deal and she's only climbing
  9. I think we're orbiting around the same concern. It's all about protecting Allen, and I view a healthy run game as protecting Allen which I think Beane even alluded to recently. I think it's pretty clear that they want Allen to run less, so yeah it's all about the O-line first, and then the guys behind it. And I still don't think we have a guaranteed guy. And nowadays you need almost 2 guaranteed guys at least. Motor is solid all around, but pressure is on for Cook I think. Unless Moss obliterates camp, then we're basically expecting solid yards and TDs from Cook in his rookie year. That's in no way guaranteed right now, therefore the concern.
  10. I think somebody mentioned this but he's no doubt the most unique QB I've ever had the experience of watching. The career numbers, and furthermore the career earnings that he's put together are astounding considering where he started. If you're an alien scanning Earth and cracking open the record books to research our love of this sport then Fitz is a top-40 QB easy. Ryan Fitzpatrick. Incredible. I support his legend status in Buffalo for his career achievements alone, but also the simple fact that he brought a lot of fun and hope during bleak times. The best part about his legend is that it's barely even begun and will explode as soon as he hits Thursday Night Football or whatever multimillion dollar TV deal he'll inevitably make. Everybody and their kids are going to know about and love Fitz in like 2 years.
  11. RB still, because anything happening to Josh is this teams biggest concern. The difference between SB Champs and 7-10. Motor looked great late last year but other than that flash RB has been pretty poor the last few years, and we're really hoping that the last 6 weeks of the year or so of Motor returns. I believe he has it in him to continue to be a solid back. If he doesn't though, or worse he gets hurt yikes, then it could be continued RB disappointment and potentially a worry about this team's ability to develop backs in my opinion, in which case Cook then becomes a serious focus. Overall, if none of the them really plant their foot as a #1 force then it means more of our expensive blue chip QB stiff arming linebackers, which brings me back to my #1 concern. If you notice I've pretty much given up on Moss, I hope he proves me wrong. But the addition of Cook and pursuit of McKissic and our team's love of dressing for ST means that Moss is no longer in the plans in my opinion, in which case that's a swing and a miss.
  12. Wow, now this is an offseason thread. Awesome job, great thread Hard to disagree with Takeo - yes, #1 Brian Moorman easy - #2 #3? the fun pick. A man can dream - prime Lee Evans running long with Josh for like 40 catches and an easy 1k per year. Just a compliment to Diggs and Davis, but what Sanders would have been if he was 25 and fast.
  13. The Cowboys aren't bad, he probably just wants to win. I don't think he would have ended up on a Jacksonville/Texans type roster for any amount of money. If anything this means that an 11 year All Pro Vet that wants another ring views Buffalo as being as good of a destination as Dallas right now. Don't believe that was the case 10 years ago.
  14. Herbert's too low. Should be 92-93. Josh could be 97, or Mahomes should be lower, I don't think there's that much space between them.
  15. Absurd. I've had Njoku and Howard in the same tier, pretty much ranked back to back as league TE's, for years now. I actually prefer Howard because his YPC has been so insane for a TE for his career, should pair well with Josh.
  16. Hopkins has had a rough couple of years, I'm surprised. I'm and a fan and I would have placed him at the top 2-3 years ago, I'm not so sure now. He's getting up there too and will have to have at least 1 or 2 more seasons where he returns to top form to get anywhere close to the track people once thought he was on. Could have a sub-HOF, slightly disappointing career depending on how this PED thing shakes out. Top 5 is Diggs, Kupp, Adams, Jefferson and Hill, I'm fine with any order.
  17. You mean like actual location of the house on the property, or that area near Centennial? Tons of rich people live there and it's close to Dove Valley where they have training camp, the location makes sense to me
  18. I think there's probably some truth to the arguments that Kaepernick isn't very good, but then I remember that Mike Glennon and his neck played as recently as last year. Heck, teams STILL give Nick Foles millions of dollars to not play just because he was somewhat above average 7 years ago. I wouldn't be surprised if Kaep has lost a step, but when teams are still signing guys like Glennon, Foles, and Peterman, it's hard to argue that he doesn't at least deserve a chance. There are some truly awful QBs employed in this league, the bottom completely falls out after about the top 25 or so.
  19. I've got to hand it to old plucky Peterman. I thought it was incredible that the Raiders took a chance on him. It's unfathomable that he's still in the NFL, on a 3rd team nonetheless. He's officially better than Nick Foles as far as the Bears are concerned. Man, how much has Foles been a complete disappointment the last oh 7 years of his career or so? The one gigantic difference between the two however is that Foles certainly knows how to take money from teams. Peterman has pretty shockingly low career earnings figures for a QB. Nate just wants to be a good boy and excel in the pre-season for very little money apparently.
  20. Always seemed like a model train type of fella. Seriously though, even when he was hitting double digit sacks the general reaction was "meh, we're awful but I guess that's cool". It was like he was barely here even when he made the Pro Bowl, I'm not surprised that nobody knows anything about him nowadays. Oddly the only thing I could find on him were IMDB entries, because apparently when you play football, you get an IMDB entry for the various prime time games and channels you played on during your career. How incredibly dumb.
  21. Bummer, he seemed destined for greatness after 2018. I was a fan but he's faded pretty quickly. Might finish his career with borderline HOF numbers and questions about the good years.
  22. Yes. Is Baker better than Jordan Love? Probably, but feels like you also could ask the same question for Love as well. I'm surprised both of them didn't get moved. Maybe QB hoarding is becoming more of a thing. I wonder which team will be the next sucker to take on Nick Foles, you know it's coming.
  23. It's impossible to top Punt God. There is no better punter nickname, although Rick Booten Tuten was pretty incredible. Some dry G rated options that could work for both drunk dads and toddlers - Foot Man, Leg Lord (if Lord is too edgy then Leg Lad as an alternative), Matt "The Toe" Araiza C'mon, it's Punt God.
  24. I give him credit for even being back in the mix. I've got no hate for Marcell, we're on to better things anyway. We all knew he wasn't a Hall of Famer a decade ago so I'm kind of rooting for him at this point. It really feels like an incredibly long time ago since he was a Bill, I'm surprised to see he's only 32. He hasn't played since 2019 so perhaps this means he's been improving things. I think it would be pretty cool to see him suit up again, just in terms of a life story kind of thing.
