For those still upset we didn’t trade up for Jordan Addison…
Nelius replied to DJB's topic in The Stadium Wall
Addison was gone before, but I'm interested to see how that offense works out. Jefferson is so clearly the 1A best WR in the league. It's hard to get into how incredible he is without it devolving into Diggs trade nonsense (they're both amazing) but Jefferson is truly on a unique run right now. As an incoming receiver, I think you need to know you're going to be a complete backseat to likely the biggest target hog in the league, who isn't ever leaving, so you almost have to mold yourself into that John Taylor role. Big ask for a newb on top of even figuring out if you can play in the NFL. One of the reasons why the Vikes may continue to sputter despite having all-world talent. -
I don't know man, it kind of is considering Rodgers will turn 40 this season and has become, no BS, an ayahuasca advocate since the last MVP. Plus he took a beating last year. I personally think this is going to be an almost Russell Wilson level flop. I simply don't believe Rodgers still possess the physicality and athleticism to run away with the division, the same division that is a hit or two away from turning Tua into a vegetable. I think you may even see some early Rodgers whining/drama if the Jets don't rip off immediate wins.

Do the Bills Practice as Hard as the Pats? Should They?
Nelius replied to hondo in seattle's topic in The Stadium Wall
Others have said it but I'm confused by some of this - so did they stop practicing that way? If not why are they likely the worst team in the division? All of this reads as if "The Patriot Way" is a thing of the past, which likely means it's not very sustainable, especially if you don't have a legendary QB allowing it. -
PFF Top 50 Players for 2023 - Josh Allen at 12, Diggs at 24

PFF Top 50 Players for 2023 - Josh Allen at 12, Diggs at 24

Always gotta get that weird stretch jab in… Hurts/Allen is maybe a debate. Herbert is nowhere near them and an objective analyst like yourself should be fully aware of this. By all accounts Herbert was disappointing last year because he clearly didn’t take the step forward that many were waiting for. Want 280 yds 1 Td and few impactful plays? That’s Herbert every single week. I’d take Lawrence before him easy. -
My favorite drive is from Denver to Santa Cruz, CA, and St. George is always the break point. Cool little place, have fun.

He can hang with Freiermuth and Engram, I'm cool with it. Might even bump him up to 9. Trying to think if they missed anybody but this is pretty accurate. I don't know if I'm completely buying that Goedert is one of the best in the league, or perhaps the position has dipped in quality a bit compared to even 5-10 years ago. Njoku thrived a bit as Baker's outlet and seemed to have a knack for big plays but it feels like people have been waiting for him to arrive for 6 years now. He's almost identical statistically to Knox except Dawson has a much better nose for the endzone.

Lean 285 lb lineman? That’s Lebron James bro, it’s extremely far from common. Who of Wolford, Hull or Frerote fit this description? If anything they were just slightly smaller fat guys.

Why is Tyrod Taylor not more revered in the Bills fan base?
Nelius replied to ChronicAndKnuckles's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think we all know what the insinuation was but why can't it simply be that A.) Fitz was more exciting on the field B.) Tyrod came after Fitz, thus after more losing, and suffered even more from drought fatigue C.) Fitz still shows Buffalo consistent love Very uncomplicated stuff that throws the insinuation out the window and doesn't need much analysis -
Pats give DeVante Parker a Big Extension
Nelius replied to Coach Tuesday's topic in The Stadium Wall
LOL go Pats. Jakobi Myers might honestly be better at this point so very weird WR to sink money into as a pseudo-1. All is not well in New England. I'll buy the hype for the Fish and the Jets and the AFC East being a warzone, but NE might be bottom 5 at the end of the year. -
More players to receive season long gambling suspensions this week.
Nelius replied to Tipster19's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yeah I'm not really understanding this what with 80% of all commercials during any TV or radio broadcast shoving gambling sites down my throat. I must be missing something. So if a rando practice squad player on the Lions throws $80 down on an NBA tournament one weekend, he's banned? Or it's only within league or during league play? Make it make sense indeed Ah ok, NFL only, got it. Seems incredibly hard to police but that makes a little more sense. -
Why is Tyrod Taylor not more revered in the Bills fan base?
Nelius replied to ChronicAndKnuckles's topic in The Stadium Wall
Really dude? Had to edit my response to this, but c'mon... Tyrod just played a boring game, plain and simple. Yes he ran a lot but his passing game was never very good. That plus max frustration with the drought (the pathetic Jacksonville berth at the end of this tenure did nothing for anybody) led to him just never really giving fans much hope. He barely eclipsed 3k passing in a season, I think everybody knew he wasn't the answer. And this came after Fitz, so he was also just simply at the disadvantage of time. Fitz is also revered here because he still embraces the community. Tyrod kind of just left. Tyrod was very much all business in general. That's not a fault and is probably why he's still in the league, but it's tough to embrace that guy when he never really won you anything. See also Aaron Schobel, since QB Bills wants to play this game. -
Good. Honestly fine. Another year of Josh Allen growth, what's not to like? Defense is better - currently healthy, getting healthier. I can't wait to see what this dline does. Rousseau might do some special things this year. Big fan of the Kincaid pick-up. I think Cook might have a big year. The Diggs drama is really a distraction and nothing more. Nobody likes it, but it's not going to translate into losses for this team. If you still doubt Josh Allen you're a moron, but I get how being a contrarian can squeeze those dopamine drips faster. He's a proven A1 QB. Enjoy.

Lol "Bills fans" eh, Airseven? Letting the veil slip apparently Cowherd is also a serial moron that switches his opinion from one week to the next. He was very much a champion of this McDermott coached team, as recently as picking them throughout the playoffs a whole 5 months ago. This team rips off a few early wins and his whole rationale will change, as any casual that has listened to this dope for more than two shows would know. He also still sounds like his teeth don't fit.

Yeah Andy Reid

Sorted through about 50 pages and still couldn't find a reason so am sure I'm just repeating other points. This is weird and has me actually concerned. I could overlook the end of the season blowup stuff, even though it felt like something was festering. This is clearly confirmation of it. Something is off, and the slimiest feeling is that it might be something between Diggs and Josh, especially considering all of the off season chatter, more so than something with Diggs and the org or coaching staff. I knew hyping up the Diggs-Allen bromance was stupid.

Josh has to have a few of these canned at all times I guess. Ranch?! Are you kidding me?! But yeah it's stale af, who cares. Giants barely even register for me, they're just one of the more boring teams from the incredibly boring NFC.

This Jets lovefest really does feel like Denver 2.0, right down to talking heads acting like it's a guarantee that they'll be in the thick of it despite the fact that they haven't won a playoff game since 2010. Bills got them beat from personnel to experience. Just wait until some relatively homely but artistic actress accuses Rodgers of something in like Week 6 while he's playing under the biggest lights of the world, all while being old and having not really cared since his 2020 ayahuasca trip. Should be fun! This has just as much of a chance of being a Russell Wilson to the Donkeys level failure as it does being a Super Bowl winning success. I'd feel too stupid to guarantee the latter after recent history.
