This is the level of insanity that this week has devolved into. We waited decades for this kid and some of you think that, what, we’ll just go out and find another? Have you looked at some of the atrocious QBs that are on rosters right now? There’s maybe 12 good ones counting all starters. Don’t even get me started on some of the glorified gym teachers that are actually listed third on some depth charts. Be frustrated yes but to even hint at moving on from Allen is so absurdly dumb.

Talking heads got him wrong all off-season to the point where “fans” here were even questioning him. Buffalo’s not cool enough or whatever, he’s not getting along with Josh, he doesn’t care about winning, etc etc etc. All nonsense It’s possibly bad timing and a poor target but I’m not the least bit surprised that he’s firing back at this point
-
Technically after 1 week we’ve yet to face a bell cow back like Jacobs with this iteration of the defense. I think we can assume what may happen. Overall I’m concerned that a “bad” team with a great back could be enough to add to our misery.

Yeah **** happens but confidently picking Wilson over anybody because of 10 minutes? He’s still very possibly the worst QB in the league

Week 2, Rayduhs v. Bills - Predict the Score
Nelius replied to Freddie's Dead's topic in The Stadium Wall
17-14 Bills Grindfest that will likely only increase fears, but Bills get the W -
This is about as bad as the people that power ranked the Rams in the top 10 as if they didn’t win in spite of themselves and clearly would prefer to tank… I get knee jerk reactions contained to small periods of time, but come tf on, realize that you’re talking about Zach Wilson please. Years of data exists.

I’m very worried about Josh Jacobs exposing us in a new way. Definitely won’t be easy

Do the Bills need a " Quarterback Whisperer?"

?? Tremendous amount of assumptions here. -
Do the Bills need a " Quarterback Whisperer?"

Just saying the previous clearly wasn’t distraction free either. People toss around “high school sweetheart” like she was no issue whatsoever…other than you know the cops before a playoff game, etc -

Let’s not forget that his “high school sweetheart” who is so innocently portrayed this year started a screaming match that I believe required cop intervention the night before the Bengals game… We should probably stop leaning on this as an example. Could be an area where Josh has even less distraction. -
Josh Allen since the KC win last season….22 TD’s and 16 INT’s.

Stop. Herbert is so over-rated. 275 yards and 1 TD and nothing else to put your team over the top? That's the Herbert way. He's like a more cautious, boring Kirk Cousins Tua though...Tua's nice. A healthy Tua might be AFC top tier, although key word being healthy. He's a knock away from being done -
8 combined targets for our TEs by the way, don't believe that's been mentioned. 8 targets would have been borderline low for Dawson alone on opening day, but we also drafted a TE freak with our #1 this year. 8 targets for both? They were both on the field blocking and running routes, why so little involvement? You can essentially beat an entire TE into the ground in terms of production with the talent that we have at the position. I was expecting TE heavy and it was kind of just more TE afterthought. To keep it more on topic, I liked what I saw with Kincaid but will need to review the lack of targets to see if he had any impact. I suspect he didn't. Kincaid alone needs 10-12 targets man.

This is about all it took to suck a bunch of the remaining excitement out of me, I don't care if it's Week 1. I was pretty optimistic heading into this season despite all of the chatter, didn't agree with much of it. The ONLY thing that could have changed my mind was a complete Josh rewind and that's exactly what we got. It's Year 6 and I don't want to hear about how bad Burrow was this week. A start to the year like this against a division rival is near inexcusable. It's not the L so much as the way he/they did it; just weak looking, confused, the exact same stuff that we've dealt with for years that multiple members have already noted. How are we not at minimum overcoming the confused Josh era? And all against Zach Wilson lololol. All of the hype was Rodgers in NY this year. The Jets weren't projected to be SB winners because of potentially Zach Wilson, it was all about Aaron Rodgers. I think I limited any enthusiasm for his injury but a good team would have capitalized and not crumbled. This is going to be such a tough loss for the entire season.

Apparently as of today it’s also diving three yards short of the first down.

Start the Diggs hates Buffalo stories again.
Nelius replied to Bubba Gump's topic in The Stadium Wall
I saw him after the game and he looked extremely unhappy but with flashes of putting on a smile for opposing players and media. Diggs is Diggs, at worse he doesn’t have the best poker face but that’s about it. Biggest competitor on this team it seems. -

Screw Favre, that’s Vinny Testaverde -
Yeah. Think so. Year 6, man. Already seen some use Burrow’s performance as a shield but if it weren’t for that alone then there wouldn’t be a single excuse. He has to be better than this.

2023 NFL Season - Week #1 - Bills at Jets - Post game game thread
Nelius replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
Seems like we’re also completely agreeing with each other lol. I said the exact same thing in my initial reply. Some analysis and time is needed but I doubt it’s primarily Gabe considering everything else that went down tonight. -

Nelius replied to Bubba Gump's topic in The Stadium Wall
Wait, let me make sure I’m following this…to you the “Diggs Effect” is this belief that there’s influence over Josh to force the ball to Diggs, which explains Josh’s poor performance and even absolves him of some of it? dude… -
2023 NFL Season - Week #1 - Bills at Jets - Post game game thread
Nelius replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
I agree? Not sure how it’s an excuse to point out that targets weren’t spread out and were concentrated on Diggs. Hard to put blame on Gabe of all people with 4 targets -
Putting the koolaid down for the first time in about 3+ years. I’m not buying it man. Something is off with Allen and I’m not just talking about the weird sidearm push throws that he made a few times tonight. I’m going to need to see a couple of vintage elite Allen performances before I get my hopes back up.
