  1. Way to cherry pick to frame your "argument". I have like 8 other posts here that made my point entirely clear. Point blank - I simply don't believe that his issue is as serious as some are making it, considering his history. You can choose to disagree and act like the subject matter expert as I'm sure you have multiple tabs open on the topic and are now an addiction expert. I personally believe that this guy just likes to smoke weed, got caught AGAIN, and is playing damage control. I guess we'll see who's right soon enough. If TMZ snaps a pic of him clubbing or he joins a reality TV series within the year, I'm not going to shed a tear for him.
  2. I've dealt with real addiction and deaths from it, but apparently I need to now feel sorry for an overgrown child millionaire who can't stop clubbing. Boo-*****-hoo.
  3. I've been stopping/starting when I need to for decades. Now that I have degrees and a career, I'm all about daily rides on the MJ train. I've also earned it. If I needed to stop tomorrow, I would, and could. The worst thing that happens after you stop is that your dreams become so vivid for a few weeks that you may roll out of bed. The horror!
  4. Why is it so impossible for people to understand that he may just be incredibly selfish and undisciplined and chose to smoke and/or drink, got caught, and is now playing damage control? Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me six times, and I'm an idiot. It's entirely possible that some of these guys don't want/care to stop, and that may be more so due to entitlement, celebrity, and money than some hardcore addiction...
  5. That dude is all over the place. He also gave Kareem Hunt the benefit of the doubt. His hero worship clouds the fact that some of these rich, entitled children may actually be scumbags.
  6. LOL at some of these bleeding hearts. He's a rich TMZ celebrity that trashed houses with Manziel. Football has been secondary to him for years. His statement was pre-emptive damage control and nothing else. Guarantee Gordon is more likely to be seen clubbing it up in South Beach than at a rehabilitation center anytime soon. Don't be a sucker.
  7. No, not at all. But you however, are a clear and obvious troll that has likely been here before. You're not terribly good at it in all honesty.
  8. The "new guy" is 100% a troll. He's running all over the board in a desperate attempt to be contrarian. He's trolling.
  9. Oh nevermind, I see what this guy is doing. Keep chugging along, edgelord.
  10. Hell, I'll still take 23rd from a "project" QB only 15 weeks into his first season. Even that's a hell of a lot better than what many were predicting. He's outplaying what his critics said no matter how you look at it.
  11. And the ridiculous continued faith in Bortles. And the stubbornness and general buffoonery of Marrone. And the apparent rampant lack of discipline (Fournette throwing punches, Ramsey's mouth, etc.) The Jags suck. They peaked last year.
  12. Might say something about his trust in Ford. I'd much rather Josh keep the ball than the 4th-string running back...
  13. DeAndre Hopkins is still quietly the best receiver in the game by the way.
  14. See Hopkins performance against the Jets tonight. It's more than the best WR that you have. It's a dependable, game changing wide receiver that can alter everything. We haven't had one since Moulds.
  15. I just can't. I'm old enough to still feel the hate and they're still the most boring team in football despite that random TD last week. I hope the Pats lose everything and Bellicheat ***** himself on live TV, but screw Miami.
  16. Right on, I agree with most of this, but if Ryan's in that third tier then I'd move him to the head of the pack and knock Stafford out of it completely. I think Ryan is pretty much in lock-step with Luck right now, although far more durable which is a huge plus. Big Ben, Wilson, Goff are in that cloudy second realm too, I wouldn't have issue with anybody ranking Ryan ahead of any of them. Mahomes can definitely hang with the big boys and is probably a step ahead.
  17. Yeah, 2 of 6 despite the results is kind of hard to argue with as it's still well outside of Brady/Rodgers/Brees, but it's still much better than the Lions, or Bengals, or most of the league. I'll settle with Matt Ryan being in a lonely B+ tier all by himself. He's definitely outgrown the Stafford tier.
  18. Matt Ryan playoffs record - 4-6 Matt Stafford playoffs record - 0-3 Kirk Cousins - 0-1 Andy Dalton - 0-4 let's take it up a notch: Philip Rivers - 4-5 Andrew Luck - 3-3 Cam Newton - 3-4 You compared Ryan to Group A. Further proof that Matt Ryan is underrated.
  19. I don't get how losing the Super Bowl = struggling to contend for the playoffs? Choke or not that team with Ryan was 2nd best recently, which I would assume should mean something to a fanbase that prides itself on an extended run as the 2nd best. I should add that I'm not a fan of Stafford, and I don't think Cousins was worth it. Neither are in the same tier as Matt Ryan in my opinion. That's kind of my point. Ryan should be edging his way into the elite, but he's still largely mired in the mid-tier with these QBs who truly haven't done anything. Ryan lost a Superbowl, Stafford can't win a playoff game.
  20. I'm on the pro-Barkley train. It seems to be the unpopular opinion because it's an era of QB's above all else and RB's being "a dime a dozen" (still untrue, but it continues to be a talking point), and yeah I guess Barry Sanders never won a ring, but Barkley is a true generational talent. Everybody knew he was going to be good but nobody expected this so soon, and he's getting better every single week. Put a threat like that with any rookie QB and they've got the best offensive safety blanket in the league for years to come.
  21. Matty Ice is so under-rated, I don't care who hates that opinion. The guys is in the upper echelon statistically and recently took his team to the Super Bowl, and the talking heads still act as if he needs to turn a corner, like he's in the Ryan Tannehill tier or something. Blows my mind. The fact that he's 8th on that index currently says everything. He's never really good enough to be on the A team and has to prove it every year it seems. Same for Julio Jones, really. The guy might have 1,800 yards receiving this year yet he's always getting knocked for his touchdown totals. It's as if the whole Atlanta offense is still getting dinged for that Super Bowl meltdown.
  22. Typically you'd just play Ridley, but he's up against the Cards who are shutting down second receivers, and I figure Zay has to get targets. This is for the semifinals so I'm scrutinizing everything. Thoughts?
  23. I think there's a notable difference. You know Lamar Jackson is going to run. Allen is known for having a cannon, and the mobility isn't surprising, but the multiple 100 yard rushing games definitely is. All thing considered I think you can certainly say that Allen is currently harder to "figure out". He's a freak and his ceiling is ridiculous if he can put it all together. He has a better arm than Lamar, and is surprisingly just as good on the ground. I don't find the point too far fetched.
  24. Edge not being in yet is a travesty. Can't say I've really heard anybody call Shady a "lock" yet but I'm hopeful that he's got another big season or two left in him. I'm rooting for him to make it, although I'm cool if we move on.
  25. Could McAfee have been more of a douche in his response? "Real football players get decleated"? What a stooge. No matter how much you try to be the "cool punter" Pat, you're still just a punter. No amount of interviews with current players or attempts at historical revision will ever change that - you were a friggin punter. And I don't know why at this point, but I'm continuously amazed by the amount of Twitter troglodytes with cut-off sleeves responding to this as if Mrs. Haushka is in the wrong and as if Steve just needs to "sack up, bro". Idiocracy for real. I feel like we're about a decade away from Presidential debates being replaced with steel caged ladder matches.
