  1. Against the CJ Beathard led 49ers! Stunning victory... Allen's win over Minnesota is still more impressive. If Rosen does this again then he takes the lead, but he's looked pretty bad in general so far.
  2. Dude I didn't use NPC to insult anybody? I called it dumb from the beginning and then simply explained what it meant? I think you're confused. I called the groupthink in using it "ironic" but I personally have never used that as an insult, the stupidity of it all is my entire damn point. I'm completely lost and think you confused me with somebody else or lost the conversation somewhere. Go back and reread, please. Somebody used the meme, I called it lame, and then explained what it meant when asked. That's it. ^ Gif above also works for this response as well.
  3. I don't think Vance Joseph has a job tomorrow, Broncos are a dumpster fire right now. Elway needs to do it to save face, he's been a horrendous GM for a few years now.
  4. Non player character apparently? it's some video game influenced insult that the alt-right is using to say that everybody else is brainless and can't think for themselves (thus the irony), and unfortunately it seems to be slipping into other circles. It's just boring as all hell, but I guess it's a thing now.
  5. This NPC thing might be the lamest, most boring trend I've ever seen in my life. The irony.
  6. Mayfield Schmayfield, I never thought we had a real chance at him. Rosen however looks awful, which makes me feel better about the Allen pick.
  7. Then it's on the offensive coordinator to get creative. He hasn't yet. He's as much to blame as anybody and I hope we don't realize that in two years when this team acquires some offensive talent.
  8. Considering how the defense is playing, this team doesn't need to be a complete dumpster fire right now if they didn't act like the QB was just some cog in the 22 man machine or whatever and actually gave it the attention that it deserves. I'm not talking about the Allen pick, I like that in a sense, but everything behind him has been so awful that I wouldn't doubt if it screws up his development. You don't draft a QB like Josh Allen without a legit backup plan, rather than a complete f**ing absence of a backup plan which is what this team did. This definitely has me concerned. The defense is solid and they seem to draft well, but their QB management and evaluation has been a mess so far, and isn't that all that really matters right now?
  9. I agree. But a truly good coordinator could still eek out a touchdown or two every week, no? This offense is completely, utterly overmatched every single down. Some, if not a ton, of that is on Daboll. Everybody needs to quit acting like he's some "aw shucks" victim of circumstance. He's supposed to be creative, he's supposed to be adaptable, yet these qualities have been about as dormant as KB's separation. Maybe 27 games from now I guess? He sucks.
  10. Daboll is terrible. I guess we're in some strange world where people who hate the guy who hasn't done his job for half a season are haters, and those willing to withstand this all-time miserable offense are hipster pragmatists or something, but the guy sucks. If he's so damn creative and new-age then our athletic freak of a quarterback wouldn't have averaged something like 91 yards passing a game before getting injured. C'mon people.
  11. If Beane had his eyes on a very undersized practice squad receiver from Denver with fumble problems, and still couldn't get it done, then that's a problem, McDermottclone777689. It's a far more likely scenario that everybody is in over their head, scrambling, and still couldn't properly sign a sub-par receiver for an even more glaringly deficient hole on the roster. McBeane is overmatched. Considering that the koolaid hasn't killed you yet, you can still spit it out.
  12. It's not exactly fun to watch and spend money on a horrible team while hoping that they may be good in 2, 3, 8 years. There are bright spots and I agree that Edmunds is one of them, but people have every right to complain.
  13. "This left the middle of the field looking like a downtown Rochester intersection at midnight — meaning there was no one there —" Yeesh. Sal, whether it's writing 101 or comedy 101, you should know that your readers get it the first time. Cool read. though. Poyer comparing him to a giant horse is inspiring.
  14. Brady gets roughed up and has a sub-Brady game. Some sacks, maybe an interception or two. Not necessarily injured, just roughed up and off his game. Ultimately just want to see a real Brady decline as soon as possible, and it would be great if it was front and center on Monday.
  15. Totally worth a look. Better than any other available option.
  16. Right? Like I kind of get it, but I don't really get. Yes, it's a lot of money, but no, it's not a lot of football money. I don't know if his point is that they should have given somebody else a vet minimum salary, or tried to pay him less than the vet minimum somehow, or...? My only point is that the guy is getting his ass kicked for LOW FOOTBALL MONEY and is being a professional about it. He doesn't need to be doing this. It's a miserable situation but it's probably the best stopgap for right now as long as good ol' Derek is the consummate boring professional in the locker room and doesn't get his neck broken on the football field until Josh gets back. That's it, I'm not trying to argue wealth distribution or some larger socioeconomic argument here. No matter what they have to pay somebody money to be on the field.
  17. But he's not a backup anymore. He's getting his ass kicked as one of the lowest paid quarterbacks in the league. Calm down, Francis. I constantly see you getting all emotional in these threads. I'm sorry that we apparently disagree on the insanely unimportant topic of Derek Anderson's salary...
  18. It's all relative. Compared to younger quarterbacks who won't get his as much...no, it's really not. Yes, dude, we get it. Far more than you or me or anybody who actually works for a living, but when it comes to playing QB in professional football, it is absolutely a low salary.
  19. Huh, I see it completely differently. He left his family to get completely beat up for a relatively low salary. There was no real plan for him to start yet the worst happened, and now he's currently getting his ass kicked for the franchise and saying the right things while it happens. It's not going to be enjoyable football but the dude is being a complete professional and actually limiting the total embarrassment that this franchise could be going through right now.
  20. Apparently there are still quite a few people who are willing to give Daboll some rope. This poor, abused fanbase. Stockholm Syndrome for real. Daboll is awful, folks.
  21. I'm refusing to vote. This is a new low. Craig Nall's only 39?
  22. Daboll needs to go, at minimum. He has failed, he is not doing his job, hold him accountable. I'll hold on to the sliver of hope that I have left for McBeane if he's gone tomorrow.
  23. Yup. This is where I'm at. This is not going in the right direction.
