  1. Le'Veon Bell is a guarantee twice a year now. Now it makes even more sense.
  2. Couldn't agree more. I am definitely worried about one of the top two backs in the league joining the division. I'm hopeful that we'll address the defense enough to deal with it, but everyone should be worried about him.
  3. That's where Kroft comes in too. 6'6"! I think Allen's gonna love him in the red zone.
  4. I'm just commenting on the sheer amount of unfair BS that western NY gets and throwing out a positive. It's somewhat relevant, but probably more relevant to the larger discussion of whether Buffalo the city really sucks or not.
  5. Western NY summers are highly underrated. Gimme that over the Madmax feel of the Southwest and ridiculous butt sweat of the Southeast during the same period any day.
  6. Jacksonville might be the biggest dumpster fire in the AFC, even with Foles. That may actually just turn out to be gasoline if he fails in any capacity. Cleveland got Baker but still hasn't won anything. Arizona is a college team. Etc. Etc. Etc. I get that winning cures everything but there are wastelands with losing cultures still ranked higher than Buffalo. Seems Buffalo has just become a parody and that these opinions aren't rooted in reality, but I'm sure I'm preaching to the choir at this point.
  7. Having had the the unfortunate pleasure of holding a traveling sales position in the past, I just can't understand from a city perspective why anybody would dismiss Buffalo over real s***holes and wastelands like Jacksonville, Indy, Green Bay, Detroit, etc. Are the facilities that bad or something? Because the city truly isn't all things considered.
  8. Ugh, yeah ok. That's ridiculous.
  9. Jonah Williams. Montez Sweat is the truth and skyrocketing but I still think it's too high. If they trade down a few and grab him I'd love it.
  10. I'd prefer they get Humphries and draft Metcalf or Harry. Embrace the underdog BS, none of these divas want to be here and they don't matter anyway. Build the trenches and don't overpay for this overhyped cake icing position.
  11. Gasoline for the Gruden dumpster fire. Enjoy your 900 yard max seasons in your playoff devoid twilight, AB.
  12. Excited to see what Dan Long does next year.
  13. Ultimately I feel like AB may have some substance to his gripe, but he may just be way too stupid and weird to deliver it properly. The antics and mustache don't help his cause, and no you should never quit on your team, but I can believe that the organization did him dirty in some ways and that playing with Big Ben is no picnic. Wanna talk divas? Roethlisberger is the biggest ***** diva in the league.
  14. Thanks, that my entire and only point. Somebody earlier in the thread provided solid info on our visitor facility being the worst in the league. If so, I simply don't get it. Just update, to take that strike - as relatively minor as it may be - away.
  15. No...is this an exercise in witty one-liners for the sake of escalating post counts? I've already laid out my argument - Buffalo is already an unattractive free agent destination. 40 year old dads may argue against this, but it's reality. So just update your facilities to be top-notch to at least take that argument away. There's my argument, Tom. Yours is that millionaire free agents need to be intelligent and embrace the soul of the city or you don't want them, or something?
  16. No, it's not solely because of the visitor's locker room. It's the city and region itself, the culture of losing, the talent on the team, etc....and the visitor's locker room. So why not at a minimum update the visitor's locker room? Are we revelling in our near-obscurity at this point?
  17. Hee-hee, haw haw. Meanwhile Buffalo still remains unattractive to high-end free agents.
  18. But there are many (if not all) stadiums that have better visitor facilities. If you're a free agent with multiple options how does that not leave a more positive impression? You're acting as if free agents have some motivation to really dig and get to know Buffalo, which just isn't realistic, especially if you have multiple options on the table...in warmer climates, in larger cities, with better visitor facilities that left a better impression on you. My argument is that Buffalo already has some knocks against it - so why not overcompensate and provide the best facilities all-around? Control your controllables, ya know? I don't buy the argument that the visitor locker rooms needs to be a dump like it's some 1970's rural high school showdown. You're not playing mind games with professionals, you're just cultivating the impression that Buffalo is a dump. Just update, I don't see any valid argument against it.
  19. Whenever these arguments come up people always view through their personal lens and casually ignore the fact that they're not multimillionaire mega-athletes. "That place has running water and air conditioning! I worked 20 years for air conditioning! What more do they expect?!" It's not an accurate frame of reference in the slightest.
  20. But stupid players can be very good players. This is a terrible argument. Option A - state of the art facility in a sunny metropolis Option B - dingy old facility in a hard luck steel town...that may be really great over the course of several months/years if it suits your taste and you spend a lot of time there and get to know the people, etc. etc. etc. C'mon now.
  21. Or...you could just update the locker room so that players don't have to go through these mental gymnastics. I get that this seems insanely lazy but we're dealing with millionaires here who have 31 other options. Buffalo already has some clear and obvious strikes against it when compared to other cities - why make players dig for information when they're likely visiting other locker rooms that are state of the art? Easy decision, really. This team has a terrible habit of making simple things complex. "We swear we're a gem, you're just going to have to really get to know us." Pffft, ***** update and broadcast it! It's simple marketing.
  22. Oh my god no. He's not even worth a 4th. He's a poor man's Lee Evans with a rap sheet. Absolutely not, I have no idea where this talk about him being top ten or even a legit #1 is even coming from.
  23. Add AJ Green for me. I know he's been hurt but he's consistently a top WR and professional. And he choke slammed Jalen Ramsey which has to be worth something.
  24. More TDs than turnovers, which should be all that anybody needs to see from a "project QB". Some of the responses here kill me. If he's not perfect, then he's not good apparently. He was the second best QB in the class this year, and certainly the best Josh. Also, for you other degens out there, I read today that he put up more fantasy points than any other QB since week 12 which I thought was kind of insane. Kid is a freak, can't wait to see him again when he has another offseason under his belt and some new weapons.
