Was really liking the idea of Dobbins but this fills a need. I’m not mad. -

Can't believe Igbinoghene went in the 1st. I like him a lot but dude is raaaaaaw. Miami doesn't have luxury picks right now. I thought we could look at him in the 3rd or 4th. -

Dallas taking Lamb? Lamb gauntlet coming up either way. Lots of WR hungry teams. I predict Jefferson will be gone too before the 22nd. -
I get it to an extent and can understand the "draft disappointment" label but he's definitely not anywhere near Trent Richardson. He's still got a future in the league. And he's coming off his best season, 2018 could have been the outlier. It would be a different story completely if he put up those numbers last year, but he put it all together a bit last year and is still only 25. I'd take a shot on him.

He's coming off an 1100 yard season? I don't really get the hate. I like Edwards-Helaire better, but there's certainly no guarantee that you're going to find a RB in the 4th-7th that's going to rush for 1,000 twice in his first three seasons... Edit - 1100 yards rushing, and it was actually 1152. Guy put up 1674 total yards last year! What a bum.

Von Miller tests positive for Covid 19
Nelius replied to BuffaloBills1998's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
They uh, gonna practice or get together at all before the first game? Sucks for Von, though, I've always been a fan. He's got asthma, altitude, and a love for God's greatest herb which all could impact him a bit. -
Tre White - Best in the League?
Nelius replied to Houston's #1 Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Top 3 easy, with potential to be number 1. Saw that some found a top-3 designation questionable and I'm very curious who has been as consistently good as Tre the past few years? Gilmore definitely, but beyond that it's tough. It surely isn't Ramsey at this point. I guess an argument could be made for Marcus Peters? The more I think about it, outside of Gilmore and Tre the top CBs have been a rotating cast these past few years so I'm kind of surprised this is even a debate. -
Give me Carlos Hyde.

SI Article: forget about sports this year

I agree with everything you said, but also just want to add that a 21 year old baseball player just recently died from Covid in my neck of the woods (Denver). Maybe he had underlying issues. Maybe I do. I'm not really looking for this virus to give me a physical on the spot and punish me for anything I'm unaware of. Fact is anybody can die from it. -

What I find pretty disheartening is the number of people that already seem to think this is almost over. Forget the fringe rubes that still think this is a hoax or overblown, but I've seen so many people that have taken this seriously also start to think that we've turned a corner on it already. I've seen it at work and especially when talking with relatives - people almost seem ready to celebrate because they've hunkered down for a week or two. Yet in a lot of ways this is still just getting started. 2,000+ died today in the U.S., and some of our Southern neighbors are just now starting to see spikes as well (Mexico, Ecuador, Peru). I feel like many still haven't even really dealt with the reality of this all yet, which in turn could mean we're likely far too undisciplined to get our hands around this thing like a few other countries have already started to through rigid, prolonged isolation, which means no chance in hell of football this year. -

Is this like an Uncle Rico bit? The 26,000 and counting aren't coming back Uncs, but I feel like I'm missing an obvious joke here. Well to be fair the projections and timelines have been all over the place. It's better than the projections two weeks ago. It's incredibly worse than the projections our government was providing about six weeks ago. Another 2,000+ died today, so it's definitely bad enough. -
Yeah I totally agree with you, that's why I asked. I've thankfully stayed away from social media but I've been obsessed with this thing since late January. Mainly just watching clips from disease experts and following relatively level-headed discussion. At this point I've had the family locked down for two weeks so it seems likely that we don't have it, so I kind of want to turn everything off and focus on other things, but man it's difficult. I've found this virus to be a total productivity killer, it's hard to focus on much of anything when a historical pandemic is playing out around you.
-
Do you feel that there's good news that isn't being reported, or are you staying away as more of a mental health thing?
-
OK that's worse than my worst case scenario. Scary
-
I'm not exactly following. This is unprecedented territory. What I linked to is pretty awful. I think 300+ US dead per day and counting is already terrible and it will get worse, but I don't think we're going to start murdering each other in the streets any time soon. My community is stepping up big time already with helping the poor, hungry, etc. This is a huge deal, but I don't think society is going to collapse if it continues for months, which it will. We just may not be able to watch some football. Remember, there is no real current food or water shortage despite the grocery store hoarding. That's just idiots hoarding. If people just stay the eff inside and watch some TV we should be able to minimize the impact. Worst case scenario is that it's life for 12-18 months until there's a vaccine.
-
I know, but my point is that this particular virus is not being suppressed in New Orleans right now, which was 82 degrees today. Unless hundreds of new cases per day is suppression, in which case, yikes.
-
It's very bad. This is pretty clearly now the worst pandemic since 1918. 268 US deaths so far today, another new high. Also another new high worldwide - https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/country/us/
