  1. Thanks, that my entire and only point. Somebody earlier in the thread provided solid info on our visitor facility being the worst in the league. If so, I simply don't get it. Just update, to take that strike - as relatively minor as it may be - away.
  2. No...is this an exercise in witty one-liners for the sake of escalating post counts? I've already laid out my argument - Buffalo is already an unattractive free agent destination. 40 year old dads may argue against this, but it's reality. So just update your facilities to be top-notch to at least take that argument away. There's my argument, Tom. Yours is that millionaire free agents need to be intelligent and embrace the soul of the city or you don't want them, or something?
  3. No, it's not solely because of the visitor's locker room. It's the city and region itself, the culture of losing, the talent on the team, etc....and the visitor's locker room. So why not at a minimum update the visitor's locker room? Are we revelling in our near-obscurity at this point?
  4. Hee-hee, haw haw. Meanwhile Buffalo still remains unattractive to high-end free agents.
  5. But there are many (if not all) stadiums that have better visitor facilities. If you're a free agent with multiple options how does that not leave a more positive impression? You're acting as if free agents have some motivation to really dig and get to know Buffalo, which just isn't realistic, especially if you have multiple options on the table...in warmer climates, in larger cities, with better visitor facilities that left a better impression on you. My argument is that Buffalo already has some knocks against it - so why not overcompensate and provide the best facilities all-around? Control your controllables, ya know? I don't buy the argument that the visitor locker rooms needs to be a dump like it's some 1970's rural high school showdown. You're not playing mind games with professionals, you're just cultivating the impression that Buffalo is a dump. Just update, I don't see any valid argument against it.
  6. Whenever these arguments come up people always view through their personal lens and casually ignore the fact that they're not multimillionaire mega-athletes. "That place has running water and air conditioning! I worked 20 years for air conditioning! What more do they expect?!" It's not an accurate frame of reference in the slightest.
  7. But stupid players can be very good players. This is a terrible argument. Option A - state of the art facility in a sunny metropolis Option B - dingy old facility in a hard luck steel town...that may be really great over the course of several months/years if it suits your taste and you spend a lot of time there and get to know the people, etc. etc. etc. C'mon now.
  8. Or...you could just update the locker room so that players don't have to go through these mental gymnastics. I get that this seems insanely lazy but we're dealing with millionaires here who have 31 other options. Buffalo already has some clear and obvious strikes against it when compared to other cities - why make players dig for information when they're likely visiting other locker rooms that are state of the art? Easy decision, really. This team has a terrible habit of making simple things complex. "We swear we're a gem, you're just going to have to really get to know us." Pffft, ***** update and broadcast it! It's simple marketing.
  9. Oh my god no. He's not even worth a 4th. He's a poor man's Lee Evans with a rap sheet. Absolutely not, I have no idea where this talk about him being top ten or even a legit #1 is even coming from.
  10. Add AJ Green for me. I know he's been hurt but he's consistently a top WR and professional. And he choke slammed Jalen Ramsey which has to be worth something.
  11. More TDs than turnovers, which should be all that anybody needs to see from a "project QB". Some of the responses here kill me. If he's not perfect, then he's not good apparently. He was the second best QB in the class this year, and certainly the best Josh. Also, for you other degens out there, I read today that he put up more fantasy points than any other QB since week 12 which I thought was kind of insane. Kid is a freak, can't wait to see him again when he has another offseason under his belt and some new weapons.
  12. Bears. I guess I just hate them the least out of all teams moving on, plus Mack is easy to root for.
  13. Fair enough. They may not be as bad as other teams on paper, I just think the perennial mediocrity for them over the years is even worse when you consider how many millions of dollars they've thrown at awful contracts and the fact that Dan Snyder seemingly has never known what he's doing. And now they've got guys like Swearinger (who is a loud mouth but a legit starter) STILL calling out the organization and then leaving, thus creating more holes. They've just been flailing since Snyder bought the team nearly 20 years ago and always seem like they're falling apart.
  14. I think the Redskins are a perfect example. They're an awful franchise. They've been terribly mediocre under Snyder's entire tenure, who has many times proven to be a loud, blundering, idiot, and ***** rolls downhill. They suck, dude. Seriously their best record since 1999 is 10-6! That's much more a history of disappointing mediocrity than "being competitive". $71M guaranteed for Alex Smith???!!! They are the worst franchise in the league, aside from maybe the Jags.
  15. Absolutely. He's a moron who's intent was to injure. That said, I'm not quite sure of his contract situation because Kiko Alonso's career isn't something that I ever think about, but I wonder if he should also worry about having a job in the future. A LB that can't properly spy a QB and who commits terrible penalties won't exactly be in high demand. Allen's going to put 80+ on the ground twice a year as long as that dweeb is on the other side of the ball.
  16. I remember when people had character concerns about Marshawn..and then he went on to win a Super Bowl and have a borderline HOF career. Fournette should be alright with a change of scenery.
  17. Total dumpster fire of an organization. The Jags peaked last year and are now going to be the Redskins of the AFC for the next decade. Awful leadership, players that don't want to be there, and a future of 5-11/6-10 records. I sincerely hope that Jalen Ramsey rots in that lame town for the rest of his career and fades into total obscurity.
  18. He did he even just acknowledged and sort of apologized for it
  19. But he's not a "running QB". He's already got two passing TDs! He's a a freak with a cannon who can also run. Celebrate it.
  20. This WGR broadcast is torture. If I have to hear that Cars 4 Kids serial killer jingle one more ***** time I'm hurling myself off the roof.
  21. If all parties are interested then I have no problem with it. Shady's earned one last chance to show that he hasn't completely lost it. I still want them to draft and/or bring in a younger back, ideally someone like Ajayi or Tevin Coleman and not some 30 year old journeyman (watch it be Doug Martin...).
  22. The constant emoji closing in every single post kind of makes you come across like a lonely old cat lady that still plays with dolls. ***** is weird.
  23. What about all of the money he's made for a lackluster football career? Did Ricky Williams have issues or did he make a personal choice when he stepped away because he didn't want to stop smoking? Maybe I'm jaded, but some of the opinions here are so soft. This guy might just be a selfish, lazy dude playing damage control - not some heart wrenching sob story. The guy has more access to money and resources than you or I ever will. If he wanted to heal himself once and for all he could. It would take a lot of time and money, but he's got both now.
  24. Way to cherry pick to frame your "argument". I have like 8 other posts here that made my point entirely clear. Point blank - I simply don't believe that his issue is as serious as some are making it, considering his history. You can choose to disagree and act like the subject matter expert as I'm sure you have multiple tabs open on the topic and are now an addiction expert. I personally believe that this guy just likes to smoke weed, got caught AGAIN, and is playing damage control. I guess we'll see who's right soon enough. If TMZ snaps a pic of him clubbing or he joins a reality TV series within the year, I'm not going to shed a tear for him.
  25. I've dealt with real addiction and deaths from it, but apparently I need to now feel sorry for an overgrown child millionaire who can't stop clubbing. Boo-*****-hoo.
