  1. It's getting a little too damn close for my liking. It certainly isn't community support right now either.
  2. I'm saying it's a fascist force when they clearly stop caring about protecting the people and are seemingly more interested in protecting a right wing system. Explain to me what that old man could have possibly done to deserve having his head caved in, and then have the same "protect and serve" bunch of bullies ignore him bleeding on the sidewalk? I'm not a fan, although I guarantee he won't stock his cabinet and inner circle with inexperienced sycophants which is an immediate upgrade. Probably going to be the most important VP pick in history.
  3. Lazy. You may have had a point at some time in history, but how can you watch that video from Buffalo and say otherwise?
  4. Absolutely fascist scum pushing that poor man over like that, and the worst part is that none of them stopped to help. They instead concerned themselves with the next peaceful protester. People who cheer this or think that we will ever return to a previous normal are clearly wrong, and dwindling, quickly. Keep championing shills like Candace Owens (a convenient liberal from three year back who pronounces coup like "chicken coop") and a clearly fascist President all you want, but the more cops that beat innocent people the more Republicans are finished. Murkowski broke today. Mattis went off yesterday. Lincoln Project is chipping away at his support. Keep telling yourself that none of this matters, red team. I hope he survives, but that looks terrible.
  5. That sucks to hear man, and is surprising. I feel like this would be worse in a rural town since the police ratio would be way off, and any available resources would likely be assisting the nearby largest city. But to the theme of the thread for the last few pages, is that also being funded and organized by some main organization? I say it's impossible. I can't fully articulate the reasoning for why everybody's joining in, but I think it's some combination of genuine anger, and the fact that instagram influencers are an actual thing in our society right now. And probably a good dose of what Big Blitz posted a couple posts back.
  6. It's really not, man. I know the conspiracy theory is easy, but if you've been following antifa/BLM/etc. for the last decade, you'd know that the network is huge, and that it's all largely just a nebulous definition for left-wing protesters in general. The very boring common denominator here is that most of the people out there are young, and they're either mad, or bored, or dumb, or yes influenced, or some combination of. There are protests/riots currently in Petal, Mississippi, Fayettevile, NC, and Santa Rosa, CA. Relatively small towns, in addition to every major city where this is going off. This is not being funded by some all-seeing, all-powerful group (if it is, we're in trouble). This is unfortunately very organic.
  7. So, uh, no way in hell we're having a season now, right? Regardless of your politics this is all incredibly serious. Denver's like guerilla warfare right now - cops and protesters just going at in alley ways all night, for three nights in a row. Businesses are boarded up. Been on curfew all weekend which I anticipate will be stretched throughout the week considering tear gas is still going off. Minneapolis is dead. 20% of us don't have a job anyway and rent's due tomorrow. 2020 sucks.
  8. The problem is that that if you believe the latter, then you're likely ignoring the disease even if the former is true. You can't properly manage an infectious disease if you're simultaneously allowing people to ignore it if they want, regardless of how truly terrible it ends up being. So on and on we go.
  9. They both give me the exact same type of douche chills, good call. Brady pushing his own immunity pills is probably the same as Tom's scientology weirdness in their story arc.
  10. I didn't say that this will get worse than it is or has been, but rather that it will be worse than the Hong Kong flu overall. I agree with most of what you're saying, but to the original point of the thread even these precautions that you're outlining require major changes in society, and furthermore, that the vast majority of us agree and follow those changes. I think we'll have football. I don't think we'll be able to attend.
  11. I mean, if you're going to compare it to the Hong Kong Flu, which killed as many in this country overall as what Covid has so far, and then seemingly indicate that Covid isn't as bad, what conclusion am I supposed to make?
  12. Interesting that some are acting like this is over. We've lost nearly 100,000 in our country alone in just the past 3 months. This is going to be worse. Just the first wave will be worse. Totally agree, and some are seemingly confusing freedom with straight-up anarchy right now. Bunch of entitled fools out there.
  13. Brady just split his pants hahaha. Not a joke, there's video! He is humiliating himself and it's the most fun I've had in months.
  14. He's quickly becoming my favorite pick. I was all aboard the Dobbins train but immediately came around to the fact that Epenesa and this dude could provide a much better return, especially after binging every highlight I could find after the pick. And now he's faster? I can't wait to see him and Singletary in action. And oh yeah if needed our monster of a QB can just pick up 7+ yards with his legs. Our top 3 WRs are all fast, I don't think elite game breaking speed at RB is a need right now. Motor's got moves and good game speed and now either Moss or Josh can just trample through people.
  15. Yeah, clear #2 which seems to be the consensus. Was looking into some stats on this, and how about Peerless Price's random 2002 season? 94-1252-9, that's pretty crazy for a Buffalo Bills wide receiver. He's really nowhere near the discussion which I agree with, but that's got to be the best statistical season for a Bills WR outside of the clear top two. There's also an interesting lack of Stevie Johnson in this conversation. I think we all know he was pretty limited, but if you start taking your list 5+ deep he's got be in the discussion. Three straight 1,000 yard seasons (barely, granted) with garbage QBs. We all loved him at his peak, before the drop.
  16. Interview with Von Miller about his Covid experience, didn't see this posted - https://www.washingtonpost.com/sports/2020/05/13/von-miller-coronavirus-experience-nfl-season/ TLDR - mask up, take seriously. He also says he caught it at home after locking down, that seems very important.
  17. well I'd definitely say the guy before you who called him a thug, but seems my sarcasm detector is on the fritz due to my two month and counting quarantine so maybe I'm wrong. apologies!
  18. Some other little business endeavors from this "thug" with a "few million dollars" that I found in about 5 mins: - owns everything Beast Mode and the Beast Mode apparel store in Oakland - started the non-profit Family First Foundation for Oakland's youth - co-owner of the Oakland Panthers arena football team - started a phone store in Oakland called Beast Mobile - apparently owns a portion of Lyft in Oakland. Not totally following that but ok - multiple real estate investments - now has a recurring role in Westworld "Take care of your chicken", indeed. I'm sure there's more.
  19. Off the field he works with multiple charities, and is incredibly popular in Oakland due to his community support. You truly have no idea what you're talking about. Holy hell, neither do you. He's also managed his money better than probably 99% of all football players, and owns multiple businesses in addition to his charity work. And it was $56 million, from football alone. You Marshawn haters need to seriously realize that it's not 2009 anymore.
  20. Wow wow wow I see that's already been said many times, as is probably everything else that I'm going to say. Just squeezing in before it gets to 50 pages. I kind of felt bad for him, a bit, during like the first 40% of the interview. I empathize with his Buffalo experience or any experience that makes you feel uncomfortable to the point where you're just getting drunk every night yadda yadda yadda But then I just kept reading. I now worry for him for completely different reasons. This thing is incredible. Gotta say, he's at least like somehow consolidated all of his craziness into being interesting and borderline charismatic? That's probably just Dunne doing a good job but this is easily Sammy's best interview ever. I hope he keeps inexplicably showing up in the playoffs for years to come so that we can continue diving into his psyche.
  21. Bruce, Jim, Andre, Thurman. OJ's, uh, transgressions, leaves him on the outside looking in in terms of having a mountain face sculpted in his honor.
  22. I could agree with the Titans. Henry is the scariest dude in the league, we all saw what he did in the second half of last season. Most valuable player in the league leading up to the playoffs. I think the Bills and Titans are a coin toss, although I think losing Jurell Casey is going to be a big hit to Tennessee. He was their defensive anchor for 8 seasons, it's a huge loss. I think the Steelers are so overrated. Roethlisberger is pushing 40, looks like he's pushing 30% body fat, will have been out for nearly a year by the time he sees the field. 9 months at least. They're really missing a second wide receiver. Juju sort of replaced AB but nobody replaced Juju. They've got a bunch of 3s and 4s with an old, possibly out-of-shape QB. Vance McDonald is just a guy, he's not Kittle or any sort of receiving TE. I feel like he's Luke Willson, he's not a game changer and his stature was just elevated last year by fantasy draft touts since there's truly a lack of quality TEs right now. Conner's a good RB but they've really got no depth as we saw last year. Their pass rush is fantastic, but I feel like they're a 9-7 team at best with some serious holes on offense.
  23. 1. Chiefs 2. Ravens 3. Bills 4. Titans 5. Broncos (Don't sleep) 6. Colts 7. Browns 8. Steelers 9. Raiders 10. Patriots 11. Jets 12. Dolphins (anticipating a more competitive AFC East) 13. Texans (BOB fallout continues, surprised by some of these higher rankings) 14. Bengals 15. Jaguars 16. Chargers (Herbert?!)
