  1. Currently drooling all over myself. I've seen Rousseau compared to Jevon Kearse a couple of times before and was like "haha that would be nice" but it's looking more and more like he's legit. The edge presence we've wanted for years? Right now? Oh man.
  2. Will add that if it's at all about "the story of the NFL" more so than stats and rings, then Marshawn should be an absolute lock. Doubtful, but I think he was more impactful/legendary than McCoy, Taylor, Dillon, etc.
  3. He might be right on the...edge (cringe)...but he belongs. He's got more rushing yards than Thurman. He had 3,262 rushing yards his first two years! Led the league both seasons. He was a monster when he first came into the league. He preceded AP in terms of entering the league and just instantly being the scariest back. Heck, Pro Football Reference which are much smarter than you or I when it comes to this stuff have a HOF Meter index that compiles all relevant stats to gauge a guy's chances for making the Hall, and Edge is right there at the cut off, so it seems that he's there statistically. I further agree that longevity, durability, etc. also do count. Curtis Martin was the perfect example before Gore. There are probably less than 10 RBs who were out of this world electric for more than a couple of years tops, so being very good for a decade+ is definitely worth something. MLB is getting even worse at this imo to go off on a wild tangent, They're apparently even reviving a couple of committees to comb back through players that didn't get into the Hall, to see if they belong now apparently. Harold Baines? Now that's a hall of very good. Edge is arguably a top 10 RB of all time - he may just crack the list for sure, but he's orbiting around the 9th/10th spot. That's worth something. He's a step above McCoy, in my personal opinion, who jumps Corey Dillon and Fred Taylor as the ultimate borderline RB candidate that will never get in.
  4. Again, he didn't play poor in back to back games. He took a team that you and the Skip Bayless boys counted out before the wild card, to the Conference Finals. He beat Baltimore, yet contrarian rubes sit back and still concoct arguments for why Lamar might still just be a little bit better... What QB could he better resemble that would give you more confidence? Mahomes is pretty much everybody's #1, so I'll give you that. If you want to count Brady, fine. I don't think it's apples to apples at this point, they don't play the same game. But for legacy's sake, Brady was closing in on 25 years old before he won his first Super Bowl. Hey look, pretty much the same age as Josh. I run into these vague arguments every once in awhile and I guess I'd like more examples. Who are these active, elite QB's that you're comparing him to? Who, if you don't like the deal, would you rather see the Bills take a run on, pro or prospect? Vaguely saying "I don't know man", when everybody else knows, comes across as trolling. Who can Josh Allen be more like to provide you confidence?
  5. He put up a 5-1 TD/INT ratio and an 61% completion percentage, on his way to the Conference Finals. I don't think you're trolling necessarily, I just think you're recycling contrarian talking points that were debunked a season ago. Actually, maybe you are trolling considering you've moved the posts and are now arguing if he's even "legit". Alright I'm out.
  6. What year is this, this reads like a post from two years ago. Dude, Skip Bayless? C'mon. If 45 TDs in the regular season and the Conference Finals isn't enough to inspire hope, then I really don't know what to say. If nothing else I'd consider listening to every other talking head that likes this deal rather than Skip Bayless, who's entire thing is to come up with awful, annoying, contrarian takes about every single subject...
  7. Cool, even less money when they inevitably re-enter the QB market in a year or so.
  8. Yeah I agree 4th right now, but strong candidate as future #2 after Sanders. Just curious if he's getting lost in the shuffle or still progressing.
  9. McKenzie and Breida, assuming he's still San Francisco Breida, give us so much speed. Loving these reports, I hope we see a ton of them. Any word on how Gabe Davis is doing? Obviously hoping he molds into our stud #2 for years but all of this other WR talk has got me wondering if he's the odd man that slips. It's way too early for that talk, I know.
  10. Completely agree with the incremental opinion, but will add that my frustration just about peaked with pretty much everything concerning Peterman in 2018. I was definitely questioning McDermott, wondering if this was kicking off another decade of futility, etc. Started to turn around once we started trusting Josh more and saw obvious improvement. The final Dolphins game his rookie season was a big turning point, that game was pure fun for the first time in a long time as a Bills fan. Settled into low level hope the following year which resulted in playoffs, and haven't looked back since. Completely unaffected by it now, this team will contend for years.
  11. Diggs forever. He's 27 and put up 1500 yards last year. No question. He might still peak!
  12. I've considered Cousins to be the lamest example of a starting QB for about 2 years now - the perfectly average dude that you sink money into that will never, ever get you a ring - but this is truly hilarious. Plexiglass, Kurt?! You dummy. Sometimes that discipline can't be learned, though. You left out an incredibly important stat that dulls everything else - Winston: 30 INT (led the league!) / Allen: 10 I know you weren't necessarily comparing them, but I'm just adding that there are some very good reasons Famous Jameis is still a giant risk despite the gaudy numbers. Top of the list for me personally is the infamous "Eat a W" video where he drools all over his fingers, but his always very poor decision making is right up there as well. He's like rookie year Josh Allen, forever.
  13. Best offseason news ever. Could you imagine if Baker somehow gets more? I'm surprised he's still even in the same conversation as Josh, but people feel this helps set the market for him
  14. We can only hope that New England is in the early stages of putting a similar list together. I think it's possible.
  15. Yo Maddie Glibb's got this. Right? Right?! Who else is even in the building? Who is the Buffalo Bills PR department?
  16. Who really knows the truth to these reports at this point, but the surge of Austin fans is going to be weird. They're going to be campaigning hard, I bet there's already fans organizing. On one hand it's like heck yeah you're a Bills fan, welcome, but on the other they're trying to infiltrate and steal everything you hold dear. Like a Black Mirror Bills season.
  17. I get that it's all a negotiation but it's a dark cloud nonetheless. They way it's reported is kind of an all-business middle finger to the fanbase. Might be wrong but it feels like they Pegulas have been dealing with a stream of bad press lately, and I think this was all clearly an ego project for them to some degree, so I also wonder now how they'll collectively take a growing wave of Buffalo fans, from both sports, dumping on them. I understand that's more emotional and makes zero business sense, but they're not wrong unfortunately that they could find interest elsewhere. I can envision a reality where they do pull up stakes, even though I don't really think they will. Annoying at absolute best, terrifying at worst.
  18. I'm not following actually, what's the reason?
  19. Cole Beasley insurance. I like him too. They need to keep that weapons cupboard stocked in case anybody misses time so it makes sense to try to figure out how to keep him.
  20. Absolutely. I think some may have thought you were exaggerating by the reactions but I even remember a Sports Illustrated article during his peak that argued that Moulds was right there with those exact two. It's not a crazy thought, it's been discussed before. He's like the Allen Robinson of his generation - nobody really talks about him but the players and hardcore fans know he's one of the most talented dudes at his position.
  21. I'm not sure how to properly dodge these Covid landmines without sending things off the rails despite it still being the most important NFL story out there, so will try to keep it short and general: 1.) I thought Cole explained himself nicely. The young player thing was a solid piece of info, I don't doubt that at all. 2.) Considering how strict the NFL has been about protocol, I do agree that Josh not wearing a mask means exactly what others think it does. If he was in the same lane as Cole, he'd need to wear mask as well. Nobody's going to let enforcement slip right now just because it's Josh Allen. Everything but football aside, this is a very good thing.
  22. I feel like I've been pretty good at dodging spin when it comes to most things in life lately but I seriously don't know what to believe anymore with this. I feel like we're all being taken. So I know the food thing was trolling but was it all actually trolling? Multiple talking sports heads have cut the food bit but are still reporting that he stormed off the field after about a 10 minute argument, and the footage seems legit and to correspond with that. But it's still just a blurry clip of him walking off the field, so who knows. Even that nj.com link shared above seems fake. It's all about being overweight and "hoaxes" and basically just run of the mill Kelvin Benjamin jokes. Is there any serious report about this out there? If that NJ.com article is it I'll take it, but it looks some 22 year old Barstool bro spun it up on Wordpress in an hour.
  23. Wow you might be right and you certainly sound like you know a heck of a lot more than drunk pre search engines ramblings from 35 years ago. I vaguely feel like I remember the smoke stacks so that might be it! I haven't been in the area for 20 years, but for the two people that may be curious, I pulled up a map and was wrong when I said Route 20. It's actually Route 39, and I'm speaking specifically of the view across Lake Erie just as you come out of Forestville heading west, about a mile or so past "Sheridan HIll". It's pretty high up by Western NY standards and you can definitely see something.
  24. Fair enough, I appreciate the insight. I think you're right, although he did see some random decent ypc spikes last year and still finished with 4.4. I mean 4.4 ypc is Ezekiel Elliott for the past 3 years! Jokes aside, Singletary's kind of a weird back, going through his game log is kind of like 1 step forward, 1 or .75 steps back, repeatedly for 2 years now. It's enough to be skeptical, granted, but also enough to just throw him to the wolves in year 3 and see what happens, imo.
  25. Gabriel's Gate. Off the grid, but I had incredible wings at Whiskey Hill Saloon in Cassadaga, NY about a decade ago a couple of times. No idea if that's still the case, but they were good enough to remember. I remember them having strangely good bar food but it was always made by a rotating random dude in nearly complete darkness which was a little sketch. Come to think of it 20 years later that may be one of the most consistently dark bars I've ever encountered.
