  1. Calling that we trade back. A couple of offensive players always slide and CBs and DEs are always coveted. Not wanting to pick through that wreckage McBeane decide to trade back. Honorable mention that we go best WR available.
  2. Right on, if Newsome is available then I'm for it. If the Bills can get a top 3 CB at the 30th pick then I fully support it, I agree that he's that good. But he's zooming up mocks now. He might even slip through just a couple of picks beforehand, so then what? I just don't want to see us reach on a position that historically good teams seem to reach on late in the first round. Some dead zone where we take the 5th best projected CB when there's serious offensive talent available.
  3. I don't hate the pick at all if he falls in Beane's lap at 30 but I'm not understanding where the idea that the Bills will trade up that many spots comes from. Awful take.
  4. OK yes, hard to disagree but vague. Are you hoping for any specific CB picks at 30? Historically the 30th pick is littered with CB whiffs, and I don't really like any of the options that should be available this year.
  5. I definitely like this a lot more than trying to trade up 7+ spots for Etienne like another mock predicts. If he's there at 30 then I'm all for it. I'm surprised by how many people want CB considering that the last few drafts have offered a ton of secondary duds at the end of the first round. Imagine landing Deandre Baker (a former 30th pick) or Mike Hughes (a former 30th pick). Gross. And it's late enough that it's practically the 2nd round, and nobody really even flinches when a top RB goes in the 2nd. Hoping we trade back if neither Etienne or Harris are available and feel there's no need at all to trade up, and definitely not for RB. Try to hoard some picks for next year.
  6. Fast or slow he's almost a guaranteed 8 TDs on the ground as long as he's healthy. 3 years in a row, 8 TDs in the bank. Might add another one with a leaping one handed end zone catch, who knows.
  7. I'm much more interested than last year. Last year around this time there was too much real world insanity that the draft just kind of snuck up on me and happened. Now that pandemic/riots/total chaos is normalized I can once again focus on what's really important. Little worried about DB at 30 just because of the history of that position at that pick, but it probably means nothing since this is such a QB heavy draft anyway and every other position will slide. Might see 4 QB's go in the top 5 which is pretty crazy for the league. For what it's worth looks like TJ Watt is the best 30th pick in the last couple of decades, if not ever. 30th pick has been rough. Cornerback wasteland. Kind of hoping we'll trade around now.
  8. Haha 39 here and still a millennial. Got kids, a mortgage, and I often shake my head in disapproval while looking out the window at random things at 6:30 am. These are definitely not millennials, whatever the intended point was. I think Lawrence will be one of the few that lives up to the hype. He may not be the best ever, but he'll be darn good and everybody saw it coming for years. I don't think he'll be in the Mahomes/Allen conversation any time soon. Andrew Luck is a solid comparison, as is Bryce Harper I think - an incredibly talented athletic super freak that's excelled since a teenage, but who's always a Mike Trout and Manny Machado away at least from being the best.
  9. Whitner. I remember him always just saying corny stuff too. Just a cringey dude that I wish we hadn't picked in the first place. He was hard to like. I remember a very young me disliking Jeff Wright because he always seemed like the weak spot on an amazing defense but whatever I think I was 9, Jeff Wright's alright. Rob Johnson was always pretty lame.
  10. This is turning into the worst season by any professional sports team in the history of sports. 2009-2010 Nets territory right now? They may not win again, so if it's historically that bad it's got to have some impact to the overall Pegula Empire, right? McBeane are fueled by morale, so this has to be a distraction by now at best.
  11. Didn't the Teller trade somehow get us Diggs? Google is telling me that one of the picks was later flipped for Diggs so yes. Got to break some eggs to make some better eggs or something.
  12. Man that one with the cursive lettering made my arm go numb for a second. I was shaking my head by the 5th one and then that thing popped up.
  13. I'd say they should fire their graphic design department but I don't think these sites have departments, it's usually just like two brothers with neckbeards.
  14. I don't really like this. The stat nerd side of me hates this completely, and then it's all well and good until your QB shatters his knee in the 17th week. On the other hand, an extra week of football. Guess it's a done deal so hopefully we see some kind of consideration for players - maybe 2 bye weeks, absolutely no short weeks. I know there have been a few cases of teams having to play Sunday and then the following Thursday and that definitely shouldn't happen with this longer season.
  15. I don't get the panic either. If opponents are going to bring more pressure than the Bills need to improve their run game and most notably add speed, and so far they seem to be trying to do that. If both stay healthy this will probably add as much value to the Chiefs as Breida could for us, it's not like the Bills are completely standing still. Feliciano resign helps with this as well.
  16. Which isn't 30th? We don't have the 27th pick. If we're referencing the 2017 draft, then we probably would have got the next CB after Tre with the 30th pick - Kevin King. That's a world of difference. It's a random point to argue though so who knows. This draft will be different because of the amount of QBs taken in the 1st, so maybe you can still get a top CB with the 30th pick, but the history of that pick and DBs in particular is awful.
  17. Hearing a lot of CB at 30th chatter now with the Breida pick-up, and historically the 30th pick is an absolute wasteland of CB misses. The last three drafts have had corners taken at 30th, and look at this bunch - Noah Igbonegene, DeAndre Baker, Mike Hughes. I wouldn't want any of them. Guess we'll see how this draft shakes out but it feels like the type of spot where you're only getting the 5th or 6th best at the CB position by that point, so why not just go BPA. If that's Harris I'm all for it.
  18. Lol what? Yeah man, considering we're coming off such a disappointing season and we've got nothing from new additions these past few years, we all "absolutely know" that he's going to decline significantly... what an incredibly strange post.
  19. Dunlap seems to be the most reliable of the group right now, he helped Seattle a ton last year. Clowney somehow still feels like a question mark.
  20. Honestly outside of Josh the AFC East might be in the running for the worst division of QBs. You know Fitz is going to elevate WFT and the NFC East no longer looks like the NFL's worst group in comparison. Darnold, Tua, and Cam are a pretty lame bunch, I think we've got it pretty nice.
  21. Love this and am floored by who we've been able to keep this year. Everybody we want to really. A+ offseason so far.
  22. Huge upgrade. Never even considered it but I like it. Slightly disappointed however that this is probably it for all of the Chicago chatter that was going on.
  23. No I have to disagree with this. Gabe Davis is special and learning from some some top tier talent right now. He's not falling past Watkins or Emmanuel Sanders on the depth chart. And there's Sanders too, who by all accounts is far more dependable than Watkins. McKenzie can return. I have no idea where Watkins fits unless he's just like hey guys I loved living in your city, let me just be weird and hold down the 5th/6th spot on the depth chart.
  24. Devin isn't bad. People like shiny new objects and Moss is still more interesting, and admittedly I fall into that camp as well, but there's no guarantee that he's a better back than Singletary right now despite a lot of people assuming so. I hope and think he'll be good but he didn't really do anything last year to separate from Singletary. I'm open to replacing one of them.
