  1. I like Moss as much as the next Bills fan and have high hopes for him but he's not a sure thing right now, unfortunately. From what I'm reading, a lot of the cut Singletary opinion seems to assume that Moss will work out. We really don't really know that yet. He showed some flashes, had a terrible fumble, and never really took a game over. I'm not even sure if he conclusively looked better than Singletary, they stayed kind of neck and neck all year. I hope they add at least one more back this offseason and if Devin ends up the odd man out, so be it, but he very well could be the best back on this roster right now.
  2. Bigger fan of Jimmy G than Nick Mullens, that's for sure. I was assuming he's out of San Francisco but I'm looking into it now and opinions seem mixed as of about 12 hours ago, so maybe he'll stick. There was a ton of chatter in recent weeks that he was out and Stafford would land in San Francisco, so had they lost out on both it would have been a mess.
  3. Unexpected. Saw a lot of people penciling Stafford in at San Francisco. I'm telling you the Niners QB prospects are looking bleak and they will not be good this year. Goff is Kirk Cousins lite. QB purgatory. Detroit's gonna get their QB of the future with one of those picks.
  4. Huh that's a worse list than I would have guessed, thanks for putting it together. Been a DB wasteland the last few years. Surprised at the total lack of impactful offensive players outside of Wayne, so really nothing in 20 years. Addai was alright but he only really had a couple good seasons.
  5. I honestly think I would rather have Knox. Ertz clearly isn't as good as Goedert anymore. I honestly don't know if that means great things for Goedert or if it's that much of a decline for Ertz, but he's nowhere near the Kelce-Kittle-Waller tier at this point in his career.
  6. Eh maybe if they get Stafford, I wasn't considering that. Is he really an upgrade? I know he's had some big statistical seasons but he's simply never done anything. I'm sure most will blame the Lions for his career but I'm not entirely convinced that a 33 year old Matthew Stafford is the key to a Super Bowl run. If they get him.
  7. Good luck with an unknown QB, no Robert Saleh, Jerick McKinnon trashing the team, etc....regardless of my Deebo dreams, the Niners aren't getting anywhere near the Super Bowl next year. So maybe they officially rebuild the year after. Anyway, thread title includes trades so I'm putting it out there. I'm aware it's not terribly realistic, but I clearly rate the Niners lower than some of you.
  8. It's admittedly nothing but wishful thinking on my part, but rebuilding teams have done stranger things. Guess it depends on the extent of the rebuild, but if Jimmy G is out and they go with a new QB, it's pretty much a rebuild to some degree.
  9. Lol no. I'd rather root for my foot to fall off.
  10. Go get Deebo while the Niners consider blowing everything up. I love Davis and agree. Still interested in this Hodgins kid as well, nearly forgot about him.
  11. Deebo Samuel. Let the San Francisco melt down commence.
  12. I'm the exact same way. Didn't notice it myself but I can't imagine a competitor like Josh tucking in peacefully at 9pm the night before his first AFC championship. No way he slept much.
  13. Totally agree. You don't move on from Josh Allen right now. Jared Goff has never done anything like what Allen did this season. Allen is current top-5 if you're being conservative, there is no old retread that can do what he can do. We all saw Cam Newton front and center this year. Any future scenarios without Josh Allen should be laughed and pointed at. It's not happening.
  14. Yeah. I don't disagree. Guess that only makes the problem worse.
  15. Surprised at how slow their backs actually are - CEH runs a 4.6 (same as Moss/Singletary) and Darrel Williams surprisingly clocked a lumbering TE-like 4.72 40 time, but he still did damage tonight. Their ability to use the running game when needed was a difference maker in both games against us. We don't have that ability, since we apparently don't have a running game.
  16. We have no rushing game, great thread. Completely agree. Is it Daboll or just the backs? Maybe it's the backs because if they were better then Daboll would trust them more? Who knows, but you can't be this unbalanced. Chiefs beat us with the run when needed both games this year. We beat nobody with the run, all games this year. Am I reading correctly that Kenyan Drake will be a free agent? Give me him over anybody if that's the case
  17. I agree with the past comment but speed could be an easy thing to fix in one offseason. Tyreek Hill was an obvious talent but a risky one that still went in the 5th round primarily as a return specialist. If you focus on speed and hit on the draft just like KC did with Hill, then you're right there.
  18. I think this should be edited to *on defense, personally. I hope we add running back but our offense is solid. Our defense, despite a lot of recent high draft picks, just did not produce a defensive tone setter all year. Our D just seems very passive and reactive at times. Frank Clark, Chris Jones, Sneed, were forces that impacted the game multiple times today. We clearly don't have that right now. So I agree fully with Clowney or any other big time defender that we could add to the mix.
  19. I honestly don't think we have a very good defense, and a few of the consistent players are only getting older. It was an issue earlier in the year as well, but then good coaching, Milano getting healthy, and AJ Klein making everybody eat crow for a little bit started to change opinions. We're simply short on very good players. We keep drafting them and hoping, but all of them with the exception of Tre White, have gone on to be completely average, and Tre doesn't rush the QB. Oliver-Harry Phillips-Epenesa-Edmunds were all disappointing. I'm kind of hoping for a bit of defensive overhaul the more I think about it. But keep Jerry Hughes. Always keep Jerry Hughes. He played better than anybody on the defensive line this year and it was great to see.
  20. Allen, 100%. I expected Diggs to be good, but I did not expect the prime Antonio Brown like 127-1535-8 statline and impact. That's incredible. 166 targets??! I'm already excited for the Allen/Diggs connection next year. I thought our backs would be better. I thought Tremaine Edmunds would be better. I expected more sacks with Addison, Oliver maturing, Epenesa. Feels like both the Oliver and Epenesa picks are still up in the air. I don't believe Epenesa was picked as a long-term project so it would have been nice if either could have made more of a statement this season.
  21. Saying this from a Denver-based perspective - Bills Mafia would love Phillip Lindsay after about the first 5 minutes of his first camp practice. Ran a 4.39 40 and I imagine just about any Bronco is available right now. Has the speed that this team needs and is a total hardworking McBeane process guy. Been in Singletary's corner all year, but it's just not working out. He has his moments but he's never going to get 20 carries and this team clearly needs some more speed at RB. Singletary kind of feels like a giant incomplete rather than a failure to me, but I think it's clear that you need to do something next year, he can't be anything more than a depth back.
  22. I don't think you necessarily need to drop big coin, since there really isn't even a big coin market for RBs that aren't Derrick Henry anyway. I don't think we need a top-3 back, but I think we may need to admit that the Singletary/Moss combo can be improved and at least make it a priority in the 2nd-3rd round, or get a vet that's worth that type of return (and I really have no idea who that would be at the moment. Definitely not Melvin Gordon) Ohh actually that reminded me - go get Phillip Lindsay. I want a guy like that to add to the stable. A good step or two faster than anybody we have now.
  23. Remember Brian Brohm? How about heading into games with Alex Van Pelt starting? All things considered, this is a great time to be a Bills fan. Don't let any of the immediate, emotional chatter get to you - Josh Allen is a franchise QB, and that's about the best advantage to have in any sport. We'll be back next year.
  24. I actually think RB was the most obvious issue on this otherwise amazing offense. So Moss comes back. That's it? We're all cool with Zack Moss being the lead back? I don't know if I saw nearly enough of him this year to think he'll be anything more than a nice depth guy.
  25. Running game is a serious issue. Are we sure that it's the personnel and not Daboll, though? I'm definitely open to the idea that neither Moss or Singletary are all that good, or rather may just be complementary backs, but are we sure that if we got a Nick Chubb that Daboll would actually treat him like Nick Chubb? Either way we need another back, it can't just be these three.
