9/26/21 Bills vs. WTF Postgame Thread
Nelius replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Oh there are definitely a few with lengthy post histories and non-sketch names that almost seem incentivized to be constant pessimists every single week. They were at it again early in the first half... got to love domination like this that just shuts all of them up.- 361 replies

9/26/21 Gameday Bills vs. WFT 1st Half Thread

Josh on pace for 520 and 6 td. Meh. -
Beth Mowins to call Bills-Texans
Nelius replied to Giuseppe Tognarelli's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
A Gottfried-Mowins combo might even be more dumpster fire style entertaining than Matt Millen talking about farting on players. Let’s get weird. -
"Buy stock in A.J. Epenesa" - says Daniel Jeremiah

Just checked a few of his scouting reports and intelligence was also mentioned twice. Seems those scouts were spot on. Somebody else mentioned it, apologies can’t find, but it seems he also learned a few new things that he’s executing this year. In that case those blue chip comparisons may not be too far off. -
Who is your most hated division rival now?
Nelius replied to Royale with Cheese's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It’s still the Pats and it’s not even close. Despite historical hatred there’s really no current player I “hate” on either the Jets or Fins. Belicheat on the other hand... -
Heck of a career, Shady. All the best. When he was at his peak in Philly he was frankly better than anybody currently in the league. Maybe if Saquon can get healthy and return to form he could capture the same magic. Maybe Kamara but he’s currently not as consistently awesome week to week. I think moving forward Shady will replace Fred Taylor and Corey Dillon as the RB forever on the HOF brink. He won’t and probably shouldn’t get in - Edge is the new RB baseline and he had better numbers than Shady - but heck maybe somebody gives him a call this year and he decides to come back and finds a way to another 500 yards and raises his chances. Cheers Shady. Dang found one of the four remaining salty Kiko fans.

Truth but I think a lot of this year's hype is due to the real Waller emergence. He's special. I've personally also always been a Kenyan Drake fan and now he's just hanging out catching 5 passes a game for them as well. Look like they hit on that Maxx Crosby kid. They could stir some things up Hunter Renfroe doesn't suck. Ruggs is contributing. Man for all of the early heat if they pan out could this mean Mayock knows what he's doing?

I don't share the same level of concern because 35-0 is historical. People want domination and this was domination, but not the right kind of domination? Ok I guess, I'll listen to the Josh Allen concerns. However, I'm much more blown away by the QB pressure today. This is what we wanted this year. We got it. So now when Josh puts it together, what are we going to do? This will be a fun game to point back to when Josh lights it up for 400 in week 10 or whatever. This defense looks insane. Also, sure seems like we do have a running game as long as they're allowed to play. Singletary/Moss looked great today.

A.J. Epenesa was the best Bill on the field in Miami
Nelius replied to Inigo Montoya's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Rousseau's gonna get 10 sacks. On that note I'm going to see if there's a place where I can bet on that. I think he was the best Bill but it's 1A 1B, take your pick. -
Sure looks like Derek Carr is actually very good when it comes to the Raiders talk as well. Easily good enough to keep them hanging around all year. And Darren Waller will put up Kelce like numbers this year again, he's a freak. I think the Raiders are legit as annoying as they are.

There was one point where he was talking about good refs vs. bad refs (lol) and the way he started the discussion fell so flat, he was then clearly talking to himself and had no plan. It was awkward air...but then Matt just hard charged into it and made some point about how good refs watch the game or something. I'd listen to him again, it was entertaining.

Tua bruised ribs (update: fractured, headed to IR)
Nelius replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think it was Bulldog on WGR who said he got a little worried when he heard Tua was out because it might mean they have more of a chance - that about covers it for me as well. -
Yeah good point. Didn't they only lose Sammy though or am I forgetting somebody else from last year? They've always kind of just ran with a mixture of 4s and 5s - Hardman, Pringle, Demarcus Robinson - guys who can't carry the load but are good and varied enough to keep you honest. I completely missed that they picked up Jerick McKinnon for example. They always have a pile of guys after Hill and Kelce that can break a game open it seems. Perhaps that may not work as well this season. I'm so sick of the Chiefs worship personally so I'm all for people figuring them out.

Josh Allen is looking a lot more like the 2019 version
Nelius replied to Mikie2times's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He was statistically better through two games last season but I definitely remember similar conversations about people still doubting him through the first two weeks last year, particularly after the first Jets game. All the way through Week 7 really, many were ready to kick him to the curb after the Titans game, more after the Chiefs loss the next week. So maybe just maybe he'll pick things up a bit. -
They completely shut down Tyreek Hill. Nice one, Ravens.
-
Is Derrick Henry creeping into the best ever RB conversation at this point? He's incredible. Clearly picking up where he left off last year which puts him on a 3 year stretch that I can't remember since maybe Terrell Davis?

I mean...35-0 Has that even happened before? People are dismissing this like we regularly shut teams out... -

Nelius replied to Mikie2times's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
How about flashes of elite play (Diggs TD pass) while shutting out a division opponent in only week 2? Maybe things will get better? I’m not opposed to criticism so much as the “put up or shut up” comment...after today, which I just found funny. -

Nelius replied to Mikie2times's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I get that he has looked better and made some really bad throws today, but all of the talk about how “he better earn that money” and “no excuses” after a 35-0 blowout is weird. Isn’t that more so putting up than shutting up? If Josh wins a ring but does it with a pedestrian 3500 passing yards and 84 rating, is there going to be disappointment? -

“Grrrr it’s put up or shut up time”...as the team shuts out a division opponent So you just want stats basically? -

There’s still plenty of time for people to whine about a 35+ point victory. -

You know some refs are good, and then some refs are bad...(awkward silence) Heck of a game, Matt Millen.
