  1. I don't quite share the rosy outlook, but I agree in principle. Even the TOP non QB's are generally worth a half a point a game. Strength across the board is a fine approach.
  2. I believe the only exception should be OT and DE. I would LOVE to see the Bills move up for Josh Allen. MLB does not have the same import in today's NFL IMO. QB's, guys who protect QB's, and guys who attack QB's. Those are your premium positions.
  3. I've been saying the same for months. I just don't believe the demise will be precipitated by the loss of Gronk. I believe the demise is directly tied to that failing right arm Tom Brady is carrying around.
  4. Ugh. I can see that coming from a mile away. Your posts are depressing! Yeah. I really don't care if it's Metcalf at 9 or someone later in the draft, but they have got to swing and HIT on a receiver.
  5. My statement was indeed incorrect. Tom Brady has been less effective a passer without Gronk. However, you have to consider that losing a weapon in season to injury is a bit different than a full offseason with the knowledge that said player will not be available. Where I was mislead was in their record; they've won 9 straight games without Gronk. I take that with a grain of salt because...Patriots. Overall, I do not believe losing Gronk is going to derail the Pats in any meaningful way as great of a player as he's been.
  6. The narrative here is that Jackson is a trash passer and Allen is much more effective in that department. Unfortunately, the stats belie this narrative as Jackson was actually a more "efficient" passer than Allen. So the assumption would be that Brown was part of that superior supporting cast. Since we now have one of Jackson's weapons, that should make Josh's job that much easier. Look. I get the optimism regarding Josh. He's got all the tools in the world and makes multiple "wow" plays a game. The reality is that he's got to be much more EFFICIENT. He's got to "take what the defense gives him" and that's going to require a leap in pre snap recognition/in play decision making/ball placement. It's entirely within the realm of possibility that he will do just that. I don't believe the offensive moves have been terrific, but they've made the offensive talent at least on the low end of average. If Josh is the QB we all hope for, he will take a big leap this season. I simply don't have the patience to sit around waiting for Allen to "get it." This is all speculative of course, but I could see a scenario in which Allen once again struggles, and we collectively point to the supporting cast. The supporting cast was the reason he wasn't particularly prolific during his last season in the MW. At some point, Josh is going to have to really step up and produce more results than excuses. I want to BELIEVE. I am at the stage in my Bills fandom that I simply won't believe it until I see it.
  7. That's where I respectfully disagree. I believe his ego is telling him something his body will not allow. The very same ego that made him the greatest QB of all time is leading him to hang on a year too long. I watched the playoffs intently and saw a WARRIOR mustering everything he had into routine throws. It was a remarkable feat that only the very best could have ever accomplished. But I fully believe it was his last hurrah. If he loses even the slightest bit of velocity, he is done as an NFL quarterback. Father Time is undefeated.
  8. So what I gather is that you guys believe Tom Brady will never "lose it?" I mean, I get it. We've been hearing reports of his demise for 10 years now. At some point, it's going to be true. What I saw in the playoffs was a QB on his last legs willing himself into throws his body theoretically shouldn't have been able to make. That is not going to last forever. The question is not if, it's when. And the when could very well be now.
  9. I think we've conditioned ourselves to believe this is never going to end and Tom will indeed beat time. I can assure you that he will not. While losing Gronk is a blow, I think they've been better without him than with him if memory serves. As long as Pedelman is around, I don't think they'll have a problem in terms of finding skill position players to match the EP system. It's not going to be the lack of skill position players that brings down this dynasty. It's going to be time. And the clock is nearing midnight.
  10. Spiller Troupe Carrington Easley Wang Moats Batten? Levi Brown Calloway Dude, we've had A LOT of bad drafts, but that just may be the worst. It would be really tough to top.
  11. Haha. I thought of you specifically when I made that prediction. I see it coming THIS season, but only time will tell. You could make the argument that the 2019 playoff run was his MOST impressive considering his velocity was damn near Peterman level bad. I can only surmise that another year will lead to yet another drop; a drop he cannot afford. He's the GOAT and I've never once believed the end was nigh. This time is different, but as I said, time will tell.
  12. I'm personally glad Brady is not retiring because I fully believe his decline is going to come fast and furious. He should have walked away on top of the world IMO.
  13. Don't get me wrong. This is not Bills specific AND players are putting themselves out there. White is a big boy and I'm sure he'll eventually laugh it off. Just hate to see him on the receiving end of those 12 year old grown men pretending to represent Buffalo.
  14. Did you not see White's comment on Twitter regarding the "weirdos?" I know you're up on all that stuff. What do you think he was referring to? I think fans in general need to step back and let athletes breathe.
  15. I'm not even concerned about the bad mouthing of AB. I AM concerned about the fact that Bills fans are bombarding Tre White on Social Media. Nothing good can come from harassing one of our top young players. What do you think that's going to do to his perception of Buffalo? He's been one of our very best ambassadors and this is not a good look.
  16. Yeah. So called Bills fans might want to stop chasing our top players away with shenanigans. He liked a silly picture of AB and Bills fans are blowing up his mentions with hate.
  17. He's not LOOKING for negatives. He's pointing them out. We all HOPE this time it's different. To scoff at the skepticism is folly when you take into account this franchise's propensity to disappoint.
  18. He'd go top 10 for sure. Maybe top 5. He displayed his strengths(some of which were far greater than anticipated) and his weaknesses in his first year as a professional. I'm sure there are GM's who'd love his upside and some who still wouldn't be interested. He's the Bills QB so this seems like an exercise in futility.
  19. AB did not want to be in Buffalo. Tre White is not "liking" this as an endorsement, but rather defending the Bills akin to "we don't need you." Common sense is not so common.
  20. I wonder if we'd have the same collective optimism if the final game of the season was at NE and not at home against a Miami team that appeared to quit. I will say that besides the respectable numbers he put up in said Miami game, the touch pass he completed to Ivory provided some hope that he at least has the ability to make that play. Hitting/Missing those bunnies will ultimately define his career.
  21. The way that situation played out irked me more than it probably should have, so I'd prefer to see AB flame out. Hell may be bit a bit extreme. Obscurity would be palatable.
  22. Possible? Sure. I just don't believe it based on his liked tweets and IG comments. At this point, it doesn't really matter. AB can go to hell for all I care. Knowing Tre, the "like" was his way of saying "It's like that? Ok. See you when I see you."
  23. Like I've said all along, AB did not want to come to Buffalo and that is what nixed the deal. One player didn't want to come here. Not the end of the world. I personally applaud Beane for thinking outside the box and trying to make that deal happen.
