  1. I care about the Patriots two days a year and only in the sense that they are the opponent. Not to say I'm not interested in what they're doing and who they're signing. Just that I don't have any emotional investment in their failure. At the end of the day, I only care about what the Bills do. I'm also a Michigan fan and don't give a **** about Ohio State other than that one day a year. Why give the opposition such respect? They don't even matter.
  2. I've never been QB obsessed. I understand the importance of the position, but I'm all about anyone representing the Bills on the field. Allen has a lot to prove before he's even on my top 5 player list.
  3. Drayton Florence's pick 6 in the game referenced above. Hopes were high!
  4. Josh Allen goes before Bosa. DK is gone before we draft at 9. Haskins/Hock/J.Williams are taken late in the first round. Jacobs is not taken in the first round. Agree. Bold is a subjective term.
  5. If you give me 3 to 1 and include Metcalf, I'd consider it. 1/1 and it's still the field all day. I would be shocked if it were Fant/Hock/or Jacobs at NINE. Would not be surprised if Metcalf were the pick, but I also think there's a decent chance he goes top 8. Maybe better than decent. Teams fall in love with measureables.
  6. 9 sacks in 61 games of limited action. That's decent production. Definitely a flyer signing, but worth a shot. For sure. He's a fringe roster guy. I have no problem with the signing, but it has no bearing on our need at DL.
  7. This team desperately needed an infusion of "brash." I have ZERO problem with Phillips or Cole repping Buffalo. "Culture" fits are not synonymous with choir boys, as McDermott has flat out stated. Nothing wrong with players showing a little personality, especially when their doing so in the name of loyalty to the Bills.
  8. Agree with the entire premise of your thread. Where I'd nitpick is that Nelson was a once a decade talent at the position. In hindsight, it represents solid value because he appears to be a perennial All-Pro. As a general rule, I'd never want to draft a guard in the top 10. But along the lines of your statement; I also don't see Williams floor as an all pro guard. I see his floor as a decent guard. He's a tactician who will likely be a solid player in the NFL. I don't see "special."
  9. If ours guyses and their guyses had a child together, we wouldn't force sports upon them, but we'd support their decision on whether to root for the Pack attack or the Bills boys so long as it's all in in good fun! But they better pack some warm weather gear because it sure is cold! Brr. Go Bills! Go Pack! I hope the game ends in a tie and both teams win the Superbowl!
  10. Ok. I think what you're struggling to say is that one roulette spin or flip of a coin has no bearing on the next flip/spin. That is true. If heads comes up 10 times in a row, tails is not "due" as some would believe. This changes when you factor in the QUANTITY of spins/flips. If I have 100 chances at a 1/38 proposition, of course I have a better chance than if I only have one. With that, I will leave this topic alone as it's deviating from anything Bills related.
  11. Then why use the coin flip analogy? You presupposed that any given draft pick is a 50/50 proposition. If that's the case(which it's not), then the chances of hitting on a single draft pick is greater if given 7 cracks at it. The same way I have a better chance of getting a single heads if I have seven opportunities.
  12. You said the chances of hitting on one draft pick is equivalent to the chances of busting on 7. Remember?
  13. The logic behind the term "edge" is that so many players are now utilized as a DE/OLB hybrids. "EDGE" is a simplification for exterior pass rushers who are neither true DE's or OLB's. Shaq Lawson is DE. Matt Milano is an OLB(a great one by the way who doesn't get the credit he deserves.) Lorax and Hughes are edge players.
  14. Huh? No. If you flip a coin 10 times, you are certainly more likely to get a single heads than if you flip it once just as you have a better chance at hitting on a single draft pick if you get 7 cracks at it. Your logic is puzzling.
  15. This. He's not Quinten Nelson. If they don't think he can play tackle, HARD pass.
  16. For the record, I don't believe Hockenson will bust, although it's possible. It's all about the value, the ceiling, and the position at #9 overall.
  17. The CARDINALS are drafting Murray and taking Rosen. I'd do the same. Really though, I don't care.
  18. It would be such a poor allocation of resources. The chances that he becomes Kelce/Ertz/or Gronk are less than 50/50. The position is more of a luxury than a need. He is not seen as a transcendent player. Why would a team want to use a top 10 pick on a TE who MAY be ALMOST as good as guys that were taken in the 2nd/3rd round? Kittle was a 5th rounder! Hock will be drafted closer to 20 than 10 IMO.
  19. I do NOT want Gary, but I will give him credit for making it easier for the edge players at UM to get to the QB by occupying space. At 9, I don't want the guy who makes someone else's job easier. I want the guy who gets the job done himself. I think both of these players are overrated, but I wouldn't mind Winovich if he slips to 3RD. Not interested in rounds 1 or 2.
  20. Cole Beasley is not the quiet, humble guy many believe him to be. And I love it!
  21. I didn't really disagree with much of what you said. I'm not a cockeyed optimist. Just noting that Beasley's ability to improvise should theoretically help a QB like Allen who likes to extend plays(sometimes unnecessarily). Outside of Morse, the free agents we picked up are average starters. Even Morse is really only marginally above average. The draft is going to be key in finding impact players.
  22. I just wish for good clean Packers and Bills games with no injuries. I like their guys and our guys and the other guys, but I would prefer the Bills beat all the guys.
