  1. Zach Martin threw up 225 29 times compared to Williams 23 and I believe the raw strength gap is even greater than that differential depicts.
  2. Sorry for the theft. It was worthy of re-gifting. Laughed for a good 5 minutes when you dropped that gem.
  3. Yeah. They do share a similar running style and troubling start. LF is very unlikely to have a Marshawn like career, but he's worth the mid round pick it would take to acquire his services. This is not a great RB draft, and we desperately need some youth at the position. I'll add that I'm sick and tired of seeing the Bills on the receiving end of elbows/beatdowns. Not saying I want guys running around starting fights, but how's about a response? Maybe we need a dirtbag or two. We've had NICE players for a long time.
  4. Right. I don't believe either of these guys are worthy of a top ten pick, which is why I'm glad the Bills addressed OL in free agency. They didn't get stars, but they certainly upgraded what was a trainwreck. Just noting that I'd take Dillard over Williams if I had to choose so I differ with your opinion there. My full answer is neither. Taylor is the only guy I see with the upside you're looking for with a top ten pick, but he's "apparently" not on the Bills radar. You never know.
  5. Fair points in the grand scheme of things. That being said, I don't believe he's athletic enough to play LT and I don't believe he's strong enough to push the LOS at guard. So we're essentially talking about a pass blocking guard IMO. Not quite sure I believe proper usage of leverage is enough to overcome the lack of raw power. I simply don't view him as a top ten prospect.
  6. I'm not one to concern myself with what players do in their free time. As a matter of fact, a little personality can be a good thing for a football team. So yeah, I would have preferred to see the Bills embrace Marshawn and not draft C.J Spiller. Maybe Marshawn NEEDED the change of scenery, but I wouldn't really care about the antics if he was smashing DB's around and winning Superbowls.
  7. Yeah. I remember the incident. It wasn't a great look, but this is a grown man's sport. I also remember this guy the Bills had who averaged 4PC his first four seasons, had a bunch of incidents, and was run out of town. Then he had a change of scenery, won a SB, would have won 2 if his team gave him the ball, and is POSSIBLY(less than 50/50) headed to Canton. Marshawn something or other. Fournette is worth a minor gamble if he's made available.
  8. I'm in. Driving with a suspended license? Meh. Maybe a change of scenery will provide him a spark. He's a beast when he's motivated.
  9. Literally the worst. I like Coy Wire, but he's forced to present sports updates like he's talking to 2 year olds. A touchdown is worth 6 points!
  10. I would be extremely disappointed if Jonah Williams was the pick. This offensive line needs a MAULER, not a tactician. Despite the size of the FA acquisitions, each one of them(I believe) has been rated better in pass pro than inline run blocking. Much rather have Taylor or even Dillard who at least projects as an LT. This certainly dispels the notion that Dillard has a length advantage, but he certainly has an athleticism advantage. I worry about Williams ability to block athletic edge rushers at LT.
  11. I miss Don Majkowski. Membah the Magic Man?
  12. Same, but I think we would have MASSIVELY overpaid. I can't put that one of the Bills. Bobby wanted to be in SC.
  13. I think Brown is the "safest" WR in the draft. He's very likely to pan out, but the ceiling has some limitations. I will say that his stature does not preclude him from lining up OUTSIDE. He's six flat tall, but he's stocky enough to beat press coverage. Beggars can't be choosers! Beasley is my favorite offseason acquisition.
  14. Rodgers and McCarthy are both upstanding men who just couldn't see eye to eye. Everyone is really an outstanding human being. Go Bills. Go Pack! On a serious note, I'm glad we upgraded the offensive personnel, but I don't get the joke here and perhaps it's better that way.
  15. Yeah. You'd think think I'd have a better recollection of that fleeting moment of glory.
  16. Yeah. Lawson had a decent career and played pretty well for the Bills. Not the career I personally anticipated. (We all have those guys every year we see big things for). IIRC, it was a disorderly conduct domestic violence situation where there were serious questions about whether or not any "violence" took place. Also don't really want to use the google machine because it's old news.
  17. Want to make a Pats fan happy? Tell em how much you hate em. Want to piss off a Pats fan? Tell em you don't care.
  18. The NFL misused Doug Flutie. The guy was a born kicker.
  19. That's the guy. Achilles tears are the worst! Ended Takeo's career. Suggs had the injury and came back strong. I assume the extent of the tear is a factor.
  20. I remember David Nelson's fire! I understand the logic behind "process" players, but I also like guys who play with an edge and some passion. Beasley will bring that to the table, but it'd be nice to have a few more guys like that.
  21. I was enamored of Manny Lawson's athleticism coming out of NC State. He ended up with the Bills at the tail end of an average career. I would say these occurrences serve as a cautionary tale of "be careful what you wish for" when it comes to the draft.
  22. Ah. Nice catch. It was actually the next SEASON. Didn't fully examine the post and assumed it was the end of the 12' Pats game. The Dray Flo Pick elicited such emotion for various reasons. Sadly, that regular season win is the highlight of the last decade. Better days ahead....maybe.
  23. The "offseason has reached a new low" thread was a day premature.
  24. There's a guy the Eagles drafted from USC in the 2nd round under similar circumstances(can't remember his name). He hasn't really panned out, but was viewed as a top 15 pick without the injury. Ferguson will likely go in the same range.
