  1. And of course CNN stopped bringing him on as a guest when he continued to own every debate. "What happened to Alan Dershowitz?" they'd ask. Nothing. He's consistent. What happened to YOU?
  2. I was thinking Justin Bannan but I used the google machine and can't find anything indicating he switched from O to DL. Thought for sure that was the case.
  3. I disagree. I think it happens pretty quickly if the team starts winning ten games with a modicum of regularity and maybe even a playoff game or two.
  4. Starting to? It's infuriating from a left leaning purview. I was watching a Nixon Doc and one line really stood out. An adviser was informing Nixon of the escalating protests. His resonse; "Good. Every obscenity is worth 1,000 votes." Politically speaking, outrage has one beneficiary and it ain't the outraged. I must add that the birther stuff clearly HELPED Obama politically. (I understand he's not popular around here.) If you're on the right and tepid about Trump, you're far more likely to show up in 2020 based on these shenanigans. By the same token, tepid Dems were likely motivated to actually vote based on some of the more far fetched attacks. I think collusion truthers(and yes birthers) are a lost cause. There's really no helping them. Trump Deranged Dems may as well just run around literally shooting themselves in the foot at this point. And they're STILL stuck on obstruction. Considering this has become a political/non legal battle, who in God's name is going to attack someone for "obstructing" an investigation into a crime that didn't occur? It's just not logical. Alan Dershowitz has been a bastion of hope for the left throughout this entire ordeal.
  5. If DK succeeds, he will be EXTREMELY marketable. As far as getting the shaft regarding PT games, I just don't feel aggrieved like I did 15 years ago. It may be difficult psychologically, but imagine you WEREN'T a Bills fan. Would you be excited to watch them in PT? If you answer honestly, it's probably a big no. If Allen steps up and the Bills win 10 games, you can rest assured all of this will change.
  6. I would say greater than 50% of this hinges on Allen's development. If he has a second year leap similar to many of his peers, 12 wins is POSSIBLE. Unlikely, but possible. Best thing about the schedule is the lack of 2000 mile road trips, but we already knew that. I get that the schedule is interesting for logistical purposes(those attending games), but it's really not that important in the grand scheme of things. Win the games you play and good things will happen.
  7. Well, Metcalf is 6'5 237 and Conley is 6'3 205. Metcalf is an absolute freak. Conley was a combine warrior for sure, but I think DK's size and speed are as rare as it gets. I also like the bloodlines. I personally wouldn't hate the pick at all.
  8. Gailey wasn't a great coach, but the games were generally fun during his tenure. Had a LOUSY roster and never found a DC. I don't care if Wannstedt wasn't a HC; he's the worst coach in Bills history.
  9. Nah. This is definitely not the worst idea bandied about lately. He's got some pop, but I don't think he's quick enough to play on the other side of the line. It's not going to happen, but I just can't lump this in with the DK to CB nonsense.
  10. Poor kid is driving for Uber in Firebaugh. All that talent wasted. WTH is Beane doing?
  11. We play 14/16 games against teams that are not named the New England Patriots. We also play 4 games against teams named the Jets and Dolphins who both have first year head coach's. The variable schedule is not daunting. The fact that we haven't been able to even SPLIT against NE every once is a while is on US. At least Miami and the Jets get a W every once in a while. If we can't even split with NE, I view that as continued failure. I hope year three is the year Mc and company get it done against the best.
  12. You or I would get a fine. It's an extremely petty offense.
  13. I will agree to disagree on Ngata. He's a defensive lineman. Maybe he wouldn't have been AS good, but while it can't be PROVEN, there is no reason to believe he wouldn't have had a stellar career regardless of draft team. The question is much more interesting when you add QB to the equation. I personally think Jared Goff is a below average QB who would play below average if not for McVay. Tom Brady? Who in the world knows? You could definitely play that game forever when it comes to QB's. WRONG. He was built to play corner. Hear me out here.......
  14. Agreed and I think the distinction between Clark and Clowney has been duly noted by yourself and many posters. I would prefer Clark as well, but Clowney is really trending upwards and he's 26 years young. Compensation is obviously a major factor. It APPEARS as though Seattle is under the gun a bit more to deal Clark than Houston is to deal Clowney. That works in our favor if Clark is the preferred player. Houston has to pay Watt next year, but with his injury history, I'm not so sure they wouldn't just wait til next season to make that decision. I feel like Houston is in "blow me away with an offer" mode if they can afford his cap hit THIS year. Someone would have to feel me in on that detail.
  15. Yep. And he compiled 43 sacks in 4 seasons. Not sure I get the point. You got the QB on a rookie deal. THIS is when you strike.
  16. Technically, it's a multi-billion dollar enterprise paying them, but the answer is yes. You want impact players? You pay them. Pretty simple.
  17. Position will always be a factor whether a GM admits it or not. A QB, LT, elite WR, or a pass rusher always take precedent because they are more impactful.
  18. He won't last til 28, but I'm not surprised it would go that way in a mock draft. He's not a "sexy" player. With Star and his contract, he's not a good fit for Buffalo, but he ain't gonna slide to 28.
  19. As I've said in another thread, Josh looks much more like a franchise QB with the facial hair. Very positive development.
  20. Ngata is a great player. Great players tend to..play great. Not following the logic. What would have derailed a defensive lineman's career in Buffalo?
  21. If one of the top defensive lineman fall, it would be ideal. That's the weakest link defensively. The draft is not top heavy at WR or OL, but it's deep. That also works in our favor. You could say the draft is top heavy at TE, but I'd prefer to take a shot at that position in the 3/4/5th round. There are some quality options. I continue to believe Nuata from Georgia is a serious candidate considering he's the only TE Beane has brought in for an official visit.
  22. The defense was GOOD, but not great. They struggled getting to the QB and lack top end pass rushers. Hughes is a good player, but it's not enough. If they want to become VERY good, they need to get in the QB's mug and create more turnovers. It's really the name of the game in today's NFL. So while they are GOOD, they are aging and not great in terms of talented pass rushers, the most important aspect of a defense IMO. I don't care if the pressure comes from a 3T DT or an edge. Gotta get to the QB! Losing Kyle isn't going to help.
  23. He's not, but we're in the market for a penetrating 3T DT. An ideal 4-3 defense contains a space eater and a playmaker. Oliver's skill set would be a terrific fit.
