I've noticed this trend and it's a good one. I'll be THAT guy and say he needs to be more efficient on 3rd and short. It is strange that I "feel" more confident on 3rd and 8 than I do on 3rd and 3. Since we don't really have a great run game, it generally comes to down to JA having to make a play. My personal opinion is that so much of what goes on with Allen is psychological. He has zero physical limitations. It seems as though he's trying to make a play on 3rd and long and trying to avoid a mistake on 3rd and short. It APPEARS that way anyhow. He's an extremely bright guy, but sometimes I think he needs to chuck that IQ out of the stadium and stop over analyzing. He's done this on 3rd and long since day one. Since he knows it's not really a down and distance he's expected to convert, his mentality is to make a play as opposed to not screwing up. Part of that mentality falls on the shoulder of the coach's. The past two weeks have been very encouraging in this regard. He's out there making plays instead of avoiding mistakes. If he's able to harness that mentality full time, there's really no reason to think he won't be a franchise guy.

Darnold likes to party after a big win
LSHMEAB replied to Reed83HOF's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
How in the world can you knock Darnold for this? First of all, 99 percent of us would be doing the exact same thing. Second, imagine the caliber of women he'd be getting if he WEREN'T the Jets starting QB? We're talking bottom of the barrel. -
I CAN'T WAIT til the Ravens come to Buffalo
LSHMEAB replied to JerseyBills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yeah, that's the consensus. The Ravens ARE legit. Nobody in their right mind would question that. They're the best TEAM of the three. I'm looking at the spot. -
A)Goff sucks. Stupid extension. B)The jury is out on McVay. I view it the way I view a hitter who tears up the league for awhile, starts getting pitched differently, and struggles. The greats go through the struggle, but find a way to counter and persevere. He's in that slump mode where he hasn't figured out a counter.

Edmunds, Milano, Oliver, and Hughes will need to play LIGHTS OUT in order to stop that offense. I'm not nearly as worried about getting gashed up the middle as most. As much as the Bills got pushed around at the LOS against Philly, it was the crucial 3rd down stops that were missing, especially in the first half when it was still a game. Stop QB's and you pretty much always stop offenses. We got gashed by Washington and they scored 9 points. I'll just say it; run defense is overrated. Unless you're giving up 20 plus yard runs, you can get stops as long as the run D is merely adequate. Edmunds is the only elite athlete in the front 7, so this presents him with a huge test. It would be nice if we had that stud athletic DE that Beane was chasing in the offseason, but it didn't come to fruition. Scoring will be tough as well. This is a game the Ravens "should" win, but I believe the Bills have a legit shot. More so than at Dallas or NE IMO. Just the way I view it. I'm not penciling this game as an L. As an aside, the OP was pretty wild with his assertions. Nevertheless, the Bills indeed have a shot if the front 7 remains disciplined, but aggressive. This just "feels" like one of those games we may pull out. -
Yep. It'll get a solid number of responses, but only because we have nothing else to do.

Bills @ Cowboys, Thanksgiving Day - 4:30
LSHMEAB replied to whatdrought's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I would say that the Bills win against Tennessee on the road was "close" to a signature win. We got some breaks and did face Mariotta, but that's a good football team. That was probably the key victory if you look at the Bills season in totality right now. -
Go on the record: The concern-o-meter!
LSHMEAB replied to Pine Barrens Mafia's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
By advancing the football into the endzone or placing the ball between the uprights. In all seriousness, I get your point. Theoretically, they should be able to shut down their run game and either Rudolph or that Ducky dude. Just don't feel overly confident about that game for some odd reason. It's the kind of game they'd lose in the past. I'm thinking about at Oakland in 2014 or whatever year that was. This new regime certainly appears to be different, and I trust McDermott to have them prepared. Still, I've got bad memories. I gotta see it to believe it. Yes, we made the playoffs in 2017 and all credit to McD. BUT, that 10th win has been incredibly elusive for a LONG time. -

6. They're gonna have to win a game they "shouldn't" win or that Pittsburgh game is everything. And I don't think that's gonna be as easy as we'd like to believe. I don't believe they'll lose to the Jets at home, so that's good. I may be in the minority, but I think they've got the best chance to beat Baltimore out of the three really tough ones(Dal,Balt,NE). I'd be pleasantly surprised if they beat NE or Dallas on the road. I wouldn't be all that surprised to see them beat Baltimore. A win against any of these 3 would be yuge. -
Josh Allen highest ranked ELO in AFC East now...
LSHMEAB replied to Big Turk's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
3 times this season, the Bills line has "seemed" off and slanted against the Bills. It seemed off (beforehand) that they were basically a pick em with Philly. We lost. It seemed WAY OFF that the Bills were dogs to Cleveland. We lost. It seemed off that the Bills were favored over Denver by just 3.5-4. We smoked em. This line does seem off and I generally hate that. Doesn't mean we can't or won't win as evidenced by thumping Denver. Just means it's generally not where you want to be. We shall see. -
Update: We Are No Longer Tearing Down The Goal Posts

This whole thread is gold, but how are you gonna get it out of the stadium? And are we talking just one goalpost or both? -
Josh Allen - week TWELVE report card
LSHMEAB replied to rayray808's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This! We can debate the pick all day long and get nowhere, but it wasn't the pick that mattered; it was the response. Peak Josh Allen is still going to make some head scratching throws IMO. I don't care. How do you respond? If you're the real deal, you shake it off and keep it moving. He did that today and that is going to be crucial going forward. -

Hate? Because I said it was an awful pick, gave him full credit for shaking it off, and called it a solid performance? If that's "hate," I just don't know what to say other than we live in a very sensitive society. -
[Incomplete Title] We are and 8-3 and we will...........
LSHMEAB replied to Cygnus99's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Assuming we don't pull off any upsets and beat NE, Baltimore, or Dallas, that Pittsburgh game looms LARGE. Now if we go into Dallas and win, that changes everything. I'm not particularly optimistic, but it's certainly possible. -

Mmmkay. -
So you think they're not trying because they're losing to New England? Nah. New England is pretty good. I kind of understand the logic because I tend to prefer to play opponents coming off a big win, but I doubt there's a whole lot of actual merit.

Didn't let the pick(which was awful) affect him going forward. Solid performance. B. -
Completely an "eye" observation, but he appears to have more spring in his step of late and I don't think that can be dismissed by spy's, schemes, etc. Not quite sure what happened, but he's definitely got more conviction the past two games. Maybe something happened for him when they told him he was allowed to "play" QB.

Tom Brady looks and sounds “checked out” to me

Did you miss the part where I said BB may very well be the best HC of all time? Because it seems like you did.
