  1. Still is. Three quick "scared" throwaways and they're liable to give the ball back with some time on the clock.
  2. Never really been too concerned with holding a popular opinion. He's a nice player. He's got a place in this league. But game changer? My eyes tell me otherwise.
  3. You may be right. I'm not a fan of Daboll's offense. He goes from "HC candidate" to "FIRED" on a weekly basis, but his overall body of work is sub par. Nevertheless, the offense doesn't have "springers" for lack of a better word.
  4. Allen needs to play better than that; period. I know the OL was junk, pressure was intense, and there were some drops, but he left a ton of yards on the field. Too many errant throws today. What's really needed offensively, and this would help JA, is a "weapon." Who's our playmaker? Singletary? Ok. He's a nice player, but I'm not seeing a ton of EXPLOSION. McKenzie? Yeah. That's not good. What's missing offensively is better efficiency from Allen and a guy who can take a screen/bubble screen and turn it into something big.
  5. Not nearly as much as we need flash players. When Isiah McKenzie is the most "electric" offensive weapon, you've got some problems. Singletary has been decent, but I'm really not overly impressed. Nice player, but he lacks a certain POP. There just isn't anybody on the roster capable of taking a screen/bubble screen and turning it into something big. You see that all over the league. Some guy who can highpoint a low percentage throw once or twice a game is not the answer.
  6. They may have differed in style and demeanor, but at the end of the day, Flutie was pretty much Tyrod. Pretty sure Tyrod won't be making a return to Buffalo as a "legend."
  7. If you go for two NOW, A)less pressure on the play itself, and more importantly, you KNOW what you need to do going forward. Absolutely the correct call by McDermott.
  8. If you want to blame the OL, this is the same OL that's been playing all season. Daboll knows they generally don't get it done in these situations. It's on Daboll to know his personnel!!!!!!!!!!!
  9. This team is AWFUL at converting 3rd and 1/2 on conventional runs. Absolutely HORRENDOUS playcall by Daboll and I felt it coming.
  10. Need to try to claim a kicker off the waiver wire every week. Huashka giving the middle finger to the org with this performance. Good to see.
  11. No push. The guys they brought in through FA'cy are massive, but deceptive. On a whole, better pass blockers than run blockers.
  12. I remember this game, but last time the opponent was wearing green. Ugh.
  13. I love your posts, but now I'm gonna read them in a British accent. Gonna take some getting used to.
  14. So part of the nickname is to spell his last name incorrectly? Seems weird.
  15. And I get that, but I don't know that Thompson is better than Milano TBH. Maybe slightly. Just don't see any reason why the Bills would be in the hunt for Milano's replacement considering he's still under contract for nothing next season. Edit; didn't realize Thompson played SAM in this system. Still, just wasn't particularly interested considering we're gonna have to allocate big resources just to retain our own. And I tend to disagree a bit in terms of what the Bills are looking for; Beane was clearly in the hunt for one of the big time DE's last offseason and I believe he will be again post 2019.
  16. No doubt about it. If I'm the Bills with Milano and Edmunds, I'm not even considering that kind of bank for a LB. Not that rushing the passer is Thompson's role, but the guy has 9.5 sacks in just short of 5 seasons. Also one INT. I'm partial to playmakers. The Bills need to allocate a good chunk of their resources to edge PASS RUSHERS if we're talking about the defensive side of the ball.
  17. Yeah. I want Skip staking his reputation on a Ravens win.
  18. Ugh. That's not good. Parrino worked out here in Vegas for awhile and moved back to Buffalo because that was his passion. Pretty good friends with my brother. Don't know him personally, but he seems like a great guy. Solid piece.
  19. This is the correct approach and I don't necessarily think it's just team speak. It's a big game for for the Bills in the context of playoff implications and proving they can matchup and hopefully beat the "best." As far as grand implications; LJ vs JA, etc. Meh. I think that's more intriguing to fans (myself included) and observers than it is to the QB's/players themselves. I'm guessing his thoughts and focus are about what HE needs to do.
  20. Yeah. Flutie WON games to save the franchise. Nevermind the fact that he was a pedestrian QB and Wade Phillips put together the NUMBER ONE DEFENSE IN FOOTBALL! The whole Flutie narrative is nothing but fantasy land.
  21. Rodgers is the greatest statistical QB of all time. It could be argued that he's the BEST QB of all time. I wouldn't make that argument because rings matter, but this is just insane. He's EASILY in the top 100. Almost feel like you may be kidding.
  22. Said it in another thread, but EO could very well play a major role defensively in containing a guy like Jackson. EO is EXCEPTIONAL at tracking ball carriers from behind and LJ likes to dance. That gives EO an opportunity to diagnose and aid the LB's in blowing up or containing big runs.
  23. My thing with this is that I find it ridiculous when people from places like NYC, Philly, etc. act like Buffalo is Siberia. The temperature disparity is probably like 6 or 7 degrees. Cold is cold! Personally, I just can't do cold weather. Born in Detroit, spent a ton of time in Buffalo and headed west when I came of age. Weather is a big deal for me so I love living in the Southeast. If someone from Phoenix were to say it's too cold in Buffalo; fair enough. If you're in NYC, Philly, even Baltimore. Got some news for ya; you're city is only incrementally better weather wise so you might wanna stop throwing those stones from glass houses.
  24. I didn't quite get "butt hurt" from his comments. It may have been better PR to come out and say something like "yeah, I've sucked so I get it," but that's not the kind of mentality I want to see considering Haush is going to be the kicker for the rest of 2019. I understand your point, but I want him to have the mentality that he's the best man for the job.
