Absolutely cannot wait for this game. I'd personally love to see Mahomes go into Foxborough and upstage Brady. New England is like 800-0 under Belichick against young QB's at home, so this is a huge opportunity for Mahomes to set himself apart. If he falters, the "Chiefs always start out hot and fade" crowd will be in full force. If he succeeds, people are gonna have to really start taking the kid seriously.

Long Time Fan Calls Out The Buffalo Bills In Obituary

That's not how drugs work. -
Watson doesn't really scare me. I think he'll make some plays, but I also think our secondary will create some turnovers. I just don't see the Bills scoring in double figures against that front 4. I'm expecting a 23-6 ish Texans win. The only way we win this game is if we can create a short field via the turnover multiple times.

Someone needs to be fired over Mahomes right now.

You seem like the type that's gonna stick with this through thick and thin. If Mahomes wins a Superbowl, you'll be saying, "Doug Williams won ONE Superbowl!" "Let's see what he does now that teams are keying on him!" Just let it go. -
Bruce Smith Safety in SB 25

I'm just busting your chops. It's kind of a silly thread, but sometimes these threads can be fun. In all seriousness, that definitely changed the course of the game, but there's literally nothing new that can be said about it. -

Not Bills related, but I've never understood why people take such painstaking measures planning the final resting place for their corpse. When I'm gone, I'm gone. -

I believe that James Wilson proposed the 3/5's law but I also understand that to be a compromise. As far as I can tell, Madison was opposed to the 3/5's law because he wanted slaves counted for representation purposes and not because he was "woke." I would say a PERMANENT encoding declaring one less than human would be more oppressive than individual slavery. I don't think you can point to either the north or south circa the late 18th century as ethical champions as it pertains to slavery. -
How often do "project" quarterbacks work out?

Russell Wilson has absolutely not gone down hill. He's easily one of the top 10 QB's in football. Possibly top 5. Don't be fooled by Seattle's demise. -

Everybody mentions Locker, but another guy you could compare Allen to is Ryan Tannehill. Both are uber talented but had less than stellar numbers in college. Largely drafted on potential and also in the top 10, but not top 5 due to concerns about his accuracy. When I think of project QB, I think of a guy who's production didn't match his talent at the collegiate level. -
I met our Erik Flowers at training camp YEARS ago. The guy couldn't have been nicer but he came across as incredibly meek. His play mirrored his personality. That's when I really starting focusing on the psychological makeup of players, ESPECIALLY defensive ends. It takes a certain type to make a living attacking opposing QB's and that Flowers clearly didn't have it. Giants fans were rejoicing this move so I have zero interest.

That's my take here. It seems like people are setting up this idea that we're gonna have to wait YEARS before we know what we have with Allen. If we start seeing progress, we're all gonna be happy. That doesn't mean he's gonna light the league on fire. A)He's a rookie. B) The supporting cast is not good. That does not mean we'll have zero clue about Allen if he doesn't show signs of progress. At some point, if it doesn't work, we'll have to look elsewhere. That may be a ways off, but it's not 2025.

Shouldn't Brandon Weeden be like 45 by now? Something off about that age.

There's one RB in the NFL worthy of a first round pick and that's Gurley. If I'm a GM, I'm never taking one in the first round.

Do you think you could justify the EC in 2018 WITHOUT the constitution? If we just up and started over, do you really believe the same arguments hold true? I realize the question is academic as we HAVE a constitution, but I think it'd be tough to make the same case when you consider how interconnected we've become. -

The shadow of slavery has to do with the 3/5's law and Madison said as much when opposing direct election proposals; “The right of suffrage was much more diffusive [i.e., extensive] in the Northern than the Southern States; and the latter could have no influence in the election on the score of Negroes.” In retrospect, it doesn't make sense for southern states to have gotten "credit" for slaves since they couldn't vote. As an example, Pennsylvania had 10% more free citizens, but 20% fewer electoral votes than Virginia. The EC was certainly not built on slavery, but it's hard to say it wasn't a factor. I think the point became moot with abolition, but I also think the entire system became moot with modern technology. I suppose it boils down to whether or not you believe the constitution is a living document. I'm aware that most here do not. It's somewhat noteworthy that all 4 elections decided by the EC tilted in favor of the less progressive candidate.
