  1. You know what? That was in some kinda way better than the McKelvin fumble game. We used to find excruciating ways to lose. Now we just get blown out most of the time. You people owe your cardiovascular health to the process! Bunch of ingrates.
  2. I really can't believe people have more confidence in Beane than McDermott. That is pure lunacy.
  3. The fact that they went with a Trubisky clone tells me that it was the new regime and not Whaley in love with Mitch, the QB prospect. My gut tells me Whaley probably liked Watson. It would be very unlike the Bills to have zero'd in on the right guy.
  4. I wouldn't be surprised if the league tried to force our hand into starting the PeterMAN on MNF for the sheer entertainment value. All of a sudden, a meaningless games turns into a pick parade.
  5. One thing I re-discovered yesterday is that a true stud on the defensive line remains a big need. Hughes is up there in age, Murphy is Murphy, Kyle is just about done, and Star is Star. Clearly the offense needs playmakers(plural), but I don't see the offense being great any time soon. If we actually had a dominant defense, you're able to mask SOME of the offensive ineptitude. The quickest way to turn a decent, inconsistent defense into a dominant unit is with a dominant defensive lineman.
  6. Yep. That's pretty much where I was at. My first choice was Watson. I wanted no part of Trubisky and I wasn't really sure about Mahomes. I feel like I was correct in wanting to avoid Trubisky. Nagy is an offensive guru and Mitch simply doesn't react quicky enough to make the reads. Watson does not look like a franchise QB. I wasn't all that impressed with him even last season when he was putting up huge numbers. Patrick Mahomes looks like a generational talent. The worst thing a person can do is get stuck in a narrative and not adapt to the facts on the ground. This season, I honestly didn't love any of the QB's, but Rosen and Mayfield looked like the best of the bunch. I STILL don't believe in Darnold, but time will tell. I wanted NO PART OF JOSH ALLEN. Way too many red flags. If the facts change, I will acknowledge that they've changed.
  7. If you still believe Mahomes is simply a "product of the system," and that he and Allen are interchangeable, you have willfully abandoned all reason and are clinging to an idea that you probably don't even fully believe yourself. WE SCREWED UP! GET OVER IT!
  8. You're being kind to the Peterman. He throws a pick once every eight times he ATTEMPTS a pass.
  9. I wonder if Mahomes lack of speed helped him develop as a passer.
  10. Mahomes would be good anywhere. He wouldn't be AS good, but the talent would overwhelm even the Bills offensive staff's attempt to stifle it.
  11. Remember when these threads were full of people saying Josh Allen was better than Patrick Mahomes? The organization screwed up by not drafting Mahomes. It's OK to accept reality.
  12. The fact that you think going 9-7 and squeaking into the WC game is WINNING says everything in the world about where our expectations have gone as fans of this franchise.
  13. McDermott damn near looked like he was going to cry in the first half. I certainly don't think he's on board with his first and possibly only shot at a head coaching gig failing so miserably. This level of ineptitude is not part of any process that has a happy ending.
  14. Tough situation. The entire city of Cleveland wanted Mayfield to play. I would say he fared better than Bradford in a similar situation, albeit with a better supporting cast. Nobody is saying Tyrod was the long term answer and I'm fine with moving on, but the people who called him trash now have a firsthand look at an actual trash can. Tyrod is more like the recycling bin.
  15. The margin today was not that different than the margin against Baltimore. Do you REALLY think the team got dominated in the same fashion? I'm not trying to put a positive spin on anything. As a matter of fact, it's even MORE discouraging as an organization when you fail in every single big moment within a game. It's almost more acceptable to just get destroyed. This was not a mismatch in talent.
  16. Craigslist bro. Let me leave this alone as it was a rough afternoon for all Bills fans. Enjoy the rest of your day.
  17. This was a statistically even game. How strange is that?
  18. Not many. We suck and the Pats are probably the best team in football. What's your point?
  19. This will be unpopular, but I think this game demonstrated that our WR's are not nearly as bad as we make them out to be. I'm not saying they're good, but our QB's have got to give them a chance to make a play. Derek Anderson played exactly as you'd expect DA to play. Costly turnovers and horrific RZ defense turned a relatively even matchup into a blowout.
  20. That would be fine if it were one game. This sh*tty RZ defense has been a staple of the McDermott era. If we're not getting turnovers or forcing quick 3 and outs, we're giving up TD's. It it unacceptable and cannot be explained as part of any process.
  21. Why do we give up a touchdown nearly EVERY SINGLE FREAKING TIME AN OPPONENT CROSSES MIDFIELD??????????????????????
  22. I can live with the offensive disaster. I CANNOT live with the defensive disaster. There is no excuse for this disgusting RZ defense. It has nothing to do with process or whatever garbage platitude you want to throw out there. This has been going on since McDermott arrived. If a team advances past our 30, it's a damn near automatic touchdown. The total opposite of a Belichick lead team. That is NOT acceptable even at this stage of the "rebuild." I think McDermott does some things well and fires up the troops beyond their capability on occasion, but he is not the answer. Are we gonna fire Frazier and Daboll? I mean where does the lunacy end? The RZ defense is the most disturbing aspect of his tenure and no amount of nonsense about year two is going to convince me that's not directly on the head coach.
  23. If they wanted respect, they should have picked a respectable name. When I think of "PROUD BOYS," I think of something entirely different than some conservative rabble rousers. They should most certainly consider changing that name. It's not a good look.
  24. I proposed modest investments in the infrastructure of urban schools that make prisons look like the Ritz. He stated that it matters not the condition of the school. If that's the case, he should be out there fighting tooth and nail against improvements to the schools his children attend. Waste of money.
