  1. I'm of the OPINION that Allen is not going to work out, so that opinion tends to shape my assessment. But I agree that the decision(or lack thereof) regarding Mahomes is not something they should be fired over. If the decisions they DO make work out in the long run, Mahomes becomes much less relevant.
  2. I understand your point, but I'm also not going to give them a pass because other teams reached the same conclusion. They should ultimately be judged solely on the decisions they make.
  3. I understand your point, but wouldn't it be nice if we had a proactive FO? The fact that 2018 was supposed to be the year of the QB doesn't really absolve them of making a mistake. It just means the Chiefs were the team that boldly made a great decision and we failed to do so.
  4. Everybody sucks so bad that everyone should get more time because everyone around them sucks!
  5. It appeared to me that he was trying to do too much. Not sure whether it was the result of a primetime game in which he wanted to ball out for the Bills or because he wanted to impress potential trade partners. The guy has rushed for over 10,000 yards in his career. I think the comparison to Spiller is absurd.
  6. I've been waiting for the defense to play a game like this! Bending but not breaking is the key to success against a team like the Patriots. Bill Belichick's defensive philosophy is largely based on this very premise. It's like the first time a McDermott era defense gave up yardage, but got stingy when it mattered in our own zone. Field goals are defensive victories. For all the well deserved criticism the organization is receiving, the defensive performance last night was outstanding.
  7. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! The inaccuracy issues are not moot because the other rookie QB's aren't much better in that department(although they are better) What the other rookie QB's in this particular draft are doing, good or bad, has absolutely NO BEARING on prognosticating Josh Allen's future. I can't believe how often this silly take is repeated.
  8. They are a rousing success if they are losing on purpose! I swear man, my life would be complete if someone loved me and excused all my shortcomings the way you do for this franchise. It's almost admirable.
  9. I could personally live with all of it if I believed Josh Allen was the answer at QB. I wonder how much that factors in to one's feelings about the overall direction of the organization.
  10. I feel like I'm in the same place with Daboll as I am with Allen. On the one hand, Daboll's resume as a playcaller is not impressive. However, I'm not sure anyone could succeed with this level of offensive ineptitude. So because we're unable to fairly judge them, they'll of course get more time! I don't like Daboll or his schemes, but the limitations on offense are pretty stifling. I could nitpick a few plays, but it probably wouldn't have made much of a difference.
  11. What Tyrod Taylor did with this offensive roster in 2017 was nothing short of miraculous. He's not a franchise QB, but the anti Tyrod sentiment is really strange at this point. For the record, we're not bringing him back so it's a moot point.
  12. The team has scored 2 touchdowns.....in their last 5 games....combined! You don't get why the offensive coordinator is under fire?
  13. I'm pretty sure he was Parcells DC with NE or the NYJ. I know it's not the same as a guy who's been in GB for over a decade though.
  14. Without the pick 6, it could have easily landed on 12, but a win is a win. The public was all over NE which is usually a reason to stay away, but I'm sure they all parlayed it with the over.
  15. We're grasping at straws, but I also liked the way he rode the sideline and extended the ball for extra yardage. He was drafted too high, but he can contribute if we ever get a legit #1. He's a nice player.
  16. We're all naturally going to overreact after such a horrific performance, but I was glad to see McDermott's defense respond the way they did after being embarrassed in Indy. With the sh*tshow at QB and on the offensive side of the ball at large, his ONLY hope as a HC is to create terrific defensive gameplans. He did that tonight. This team desperately needs a QB. I feel like I've said that before. As an aside, what Tyrod Taylor did with last year's offensive roster was downright miraculous. He wasn't the long term answer, but the time has come for people to appreciate him for what he was.
  17. The Bills are clearly the "sharp" side, but I'm staying far, far away.
  18. I take that point, but McBeane has a vested interest in keeping their jobs as long as humanly possible. From an organizational standpoint, it makes sense to play Allen, let him learn, and figure out what we have. From McBeane's perspective, the longer you can dangle the hope Allen represents in Pegula's face, you longer you collect a paycheck. I'm really not trying to bash JA here, but the sooner we find out what we have, the better.
  19. That's would seem to be extremely suspicious. Clearly Beane and McDermott have quite a bit to gain by this type of delay. A QB doesn't learn on the sidelines. They learn on the field. And we in turn get to figure out what they're made of. Do not like this development one bit.
  20. Everyone gets to drink but me!!!!!!!!!
  21. Of course they were in front of Pats fans for the initial intro. I guess I understand from a ratings perspective, but that annoyed the hell out of me.
