Meh. I don't think this team is gonna be ready for AT LEAST a few years. I think we should just wait until we have all pro's at every position before we send poor Josh out there. We need to protect our investment as long as possible. I'm targeting 2024. You kind of picked the wrong person if you expect me to defend Josh Allen.

Chicago is the best example because Trubisky is a virtual Allen clone. The fact that they've been able to maximize his game while masking his limitations is encouraging, although I don't see it happening here unless there's a drastic change in coaching/scheme.

This is what's so god*amn frustrating about the current state of affairs. Everyone gets more time because there's a valid excuse to be made that it's someone else's fault. The QB sucks, but that's only because the offensive talent sucks. The OC sucks, but that's only because the QB's suck. At some point, it's OK to say they all suck.

I think it would be bad news for CK if we offered him a contract, which we won't. I highly doubt he'd want to play in Buffalo, especially given the current state of the team.

We're basically saying the same thing about Mahomes and I wasn't singling you out as a homer. I'm specifically referring to the posters who bend like contortionists to defend every single thing this regime does even contradicting one position to justify another. I almost admire their optimism, but it's impossible to have constructive dialog with people so blindly faithful.

So in a nutshell, we're probably going to need to give McDermott a 3rd offensive coordinator when his record after 2 seasons will be something like 12-24? As far as Mahomes, I believe he would look like an exciting quarterback who'd be elite if he had some weapons. I don't for one second believe he'd look like trash. I don't even hate McDermott, but this whole situation is nuts.

Do you think a single person involved in the NFL would take Josh Allen over Patrick Mahomes? That debate is 100 percent dead. At this point, I just hope Allen becomes serviceable. This is no longer hindsight. We've seen them play in the league. The Allen defenders are the ones injecting opinion(if Josh were on the Chiefs, he'd be lighting up the scoreboard!) That is an opinion. Their respective production is fact.

He fell for the same reason Aaron Rodgers fell. Tedford had produced nothing but NFL busts and the Air Raid hadn't produced NFL stars. It really means nothing. The Chiefs made a smart decision and we made a poor one. I'm all for moving on, but why dismiss facts?

The weed definitely slowed everything down and not in a good way considering 3 dudes wanted to beat the sh*t out of me. She's kind of a drama queen so I probably overreacted to HER reaction. I really didn't expect these guys to actually throw down, so it caught me off guard. You live and learn. I've been through quite a bit in life so it really didn't even phase me. I made sure I had my wallet, etc. and went about my night. What's done is done. Was just reminded of that incident because of the thread topic. I was already laughing about it a couple hours later.

It wasn't via draft, but when it was clear the Eagles needed to upgrade the WR position, they acquired both Torrey Smith and Alshon Jeffrey. I don't believe they thought both would be great fits. They were essentially giving them both an opportunity to demonstrate their talents. Obviously Jeffrey stuck and Smith didn't. I think that's a great approach.
