  1. You know, that brings up a really interesting thought. What kind of coach would Bill Belichick even be if not for Brady? He had the one season with Matt Cassel where they went 10-6, but that's not enough of a sample size to say definitively one way or the other. It's not an original thought, but I'm sure he'd love to win a ring without Brady. Obviously the whole Jimmy G thing has been discussed to death.
  2. I don't disagree with your premise, but Bill Belichick is a glaring anomaly.
  3. From an organizational standpoint, I would guess they're most surprised/disappointed in the inability to establish a strong run game. I really feel like they went into the season expecting to pound the rock and play strong defense. I'm not sure if that's an Daboll, the OL, or Shady. I would be inclined to think it's mostly on Daboll and his run schemes. Whatever you may think of conservative football, it's not going to work with such a weak ground attack.
  4. You're guaranteed to make money if they win one playoff game and with Rodgers, I doubt they're gonna be HUGE dogs to anyone. That makes the hedge more advantageous obviously.
  5. Have you ever heard of a little musician by the name of George Michael? He had a pretty damn inspiring song about faith and it's high time the youngsters and fraudsters around here start heeding his words instead of demanding french fries and such.
  6. Pure nonsense. The biggest problem with this franchise right now is that the fanbase has not placed enough faith in Beane and McDermott. They'd be 8-0 scoring 45 points a game if it weren't for inpatient millennials like you. Go to Starbucks and enjoy that mocha latte pal!
  7. Sam Bradford is garbage. Always has been. Always will be. His main asset is the ability to get hurt and avoid having to play for long stretches so teams still view him as that stud from Oklahoma. No thanks.
  8. There are plenty of awful male broadcasters. Jason Witten is an abomination in the booth. I'd rather listen to Kremer/Storm. My fear is that we become so PC that decent non-neanderthal men are afraid to call a spade a spade lest they be demonized. My problem with Mowins is not that she's a woman. It's that her voice makes the sound of nails on a chalkboard sound like Mozart.
  9. So why even bother to comment during the season? Just to piss on others for actually having an opinion?
  10. The premise of this thread is silly, but in all fairness, Beth Mowins is terrible.
  11. All I know is even the optimists are starting to shift to 2020 being "the year." McBeane has turned the all too common "next year" refrain into the year AFTER next. This is getting ridiculous.
  12. That's the second line you guys keep throwing out there; who do you bring in? As a fan, it's not my job to identify potential GM and HC candidates. It's my right to point out lack of direction when I see it.
  13. Following your logic, Gregg Williams would still be the HC and Tom Donahoe the GM. I actually like McDermott as a COACH, but they've placed a great deal of faith in a QB who may very well not be the answer. Rick Dennison and Brian Daboll were disastrous hires and bringing in the right OC/QB was always going to be the key to his success or failure. I'm not sure who's actually making personnel decisions and assembling this offensive roster, but I am all in favor of that person's termination. If it's McDermott, Beane needs to be fired immediately and a competent GM brought in. If it's Beane, then Beane still needs to be fired immediately and a competent GM brought in.
  14. It's just that it's the only thing I ever hear. Millennials and whining and temper tantrums, etc. This team is 2-6, a virtual sh*tshow on offense and there's very little evidence they have any idea what they're doing on offense. When I see signs of life or positive things to comment on, I'll do so. When I see garbage and little evidence to inspire confidence moving forward, I'll comment. I want the Bills to win. I want the Bills to be great. When the people in charge aren't doing their job, I take it personally. But that's just me.
  15. Is the whole whining thing like the group think retort to people who question this regime? Go sit in the corner and wait for something to magically appear with your infinite patience!
  16. I really want to see the Saints run out an entire quarter on one drive at some point this season. I don't know if it's mathematically possible, but if it is, they'd be the team to do it.
  17. Saquon Barkley is not Saquon Barkley. Philip Lindsay is outperforming him. There's one RB in the league who was a legitimate top 5 pick and he plays for the Rams. I would never take a RB in the top 5. Ever.
  18. We'll put the Giants pick of Eli Apple to shame. Seriously, JA the DE is a beast, but we have got to go offense. These people who put these mocks together probably don't spend nearly enough time focusing on each team's situation. My favorite player in this draft is Marquise Brown. Under anything close to normal circumstances I would agree. I tend to think the current regime would want to avoid the PR hit and potential drop in ticket sales. Right or wrong, I can't see them drafting a defensive player in the top 5. It's more likely they'd trade down.
  19. I would guess around 20% would PREFER a QB that looks like Allen. Again, this is totally subjective and I'm clearly stating it as an opinion. We all have our preferences to be perfectly honest. I specifically didn't want Darnold because that ugly mug is just too much to bear. I also don't think he's a franchise QB, so there's that. This particular class is weird in that none of them really "look" the part. I guess I'll just throw it out there. I believe there IS a correlation between looks and greatness when it comes to quarterbacks. It's an odd take, but when you look at the greats(Montana, Elway, Favre, Rodgers, Brady), it makes you think. Interestingly, Pittsburgh seems to buck the trend with Bradshaw and Big Ben.
  20. I can see Brees slipping in the rankings based on that clock killing offense, but not down to 9 and not behind Cousins. It's a subjective list and I'm sure there's data to support his rankings so it is what it is.
  21. Exactly. I would be even more excited if we were on pace for 2 TD'S and 80 picks! The worse this team performs, the more faith I have in the process! Unless they win a few games, in which case McDermott is a winner and wins and losses are all that matters.
  22. Is this for fantasy football purposes? On what planet is Kirk Cousins better than Drew Brees or Matt Ryan better than Tom Brady? Not a fan of that list.
  23. I believe THEY believe a large enough segment of the fanbase is a little less tolerant than the average fanbase so it's preferable to have a white QB. First and foremost, it's a business. This is 100% an opinion with zero factual basis, so I'm not going to be able to provide a link.
  24. Right, which is why Rodgers qualified his statement with "most" arguments. It'll be an interesting game to watch for sure.
