  1. Yes, because Marcel Dareus, Donte Whitner, and big John Stud Mike Williams turned this franchise around!
  2. So they'd be better this year if they had gone 3-13 last season? How many seasons in a row must a team "tank" in order for that tank to start looking like just plain old sucking?
  3. That's fine. As long as you were prepared to see a significant drop in QB play for a season in order to "build for the future," that's a reasonable take. It is 100% unreasonable to not acknowledge that Tyrod's play last season was infinitely better than anything we've had this season. Have a good night bro.
  4. 14 TD's to 4 INT's. You can rationally make the argument that Tyrod wasn't good enough so it was best to move on. You cannot rationally make the argument that he wasn't infinitely better than anything we've trotted out there this season.
  5. I could pretend like I don't understand the argument. I would be lying. I fully understand the reasoning behind the anyone but Tyrod schtick.
  6. What Tyrod did with this offensive roster in 2017 was nothing short of miraculous. He played poorly to start the season in Cleveland with the entire organization ready to get their number 1 pick onto the field. That does not negate the fact that he somehow managed to take THIS offensive roster to the playoffs. Please for the love of God don't tell me 2 decent offensive lineman turned us from below average to historically bad.
  7. It's not so much that it's a bad idea or even unlikely. It's that it's actually come to the point where saying "Matt Barkley should start next week" is a perfectly reasonable statement.
  8. I tip my hat to any Bills fan able to maintain sobriety. They should get extra credit.
  9. Correct. I don't think the current state of the team is going to impact free agency. The standard cold weather/small market aspect will always be a factor whether we like to admit it or not. At the end of the day, money talks.
  10. People are so dedicated to bashing the other rookie QB's because they're convinced that means something good for Allen. There is a distinct possibility that all of these QB's suck. Do you REALLY trust this regime to judge offensive personnel?
  11. Finishing touches? Are you being serious with that? If you think this team is a coat away from finishing the paint job, I'd love to be your contractor!
  12. As far as fights outside the stadium, Trubisky throwing deep at this stage of the game isn't going to help matters.
  13. Yeah. I wasn't trying to come at you. Just kind of tired of fans knocking the other QB's as if that means something good for JA. It doesn't portend anything bad for Allen either. What the other rookie QB's do has literally nothing to with Allen.
  14. I think he'll be cut tomorrow as the sacrificial lamb. McDermott will join Beane in "owning mistakes." Be nice to have a staff who didn't make such egregious errors in judgement in the first place.
  15. Darnold sucks too. Once again, I must repeat; Darnold has nothing to do with Allen.
  16. Peterman is such a scapegoat. If you focus on Peterman, your missing the forest for the trees. This whole regime is in over their heads.
  17. They deserve that sh*t for calling a play to gain a couple yards to set up a field goal! This is the godd*mn NFL, not Hamburg High.
  18. The defense could get McDermott fired THIS season if they fall apart. I think there's enough built in excuses on offense to buy him another year no matter how bad they are.
  19. And this is why we're losing elections. When Trump sent some innocuous tweet about the World Series the same day as the Pittsburgh shooting, they went INSANE. It was a somewhat stupid tweet because he should have sent it BEFORE the bullpen blew the lead, but it was harmless. Last Sunday, Todd Gurley was trending because he didn't score from the 2. Fantasy owners and bettors were pretty pissed, but that's life. They once again went insane questioning how on Earth anyone could possibly care about football given what had occurred the previous day. Look. It was awful, but I didn't know those people. We're all supposed to be in a constant state of mourning I suppose. The Indians/Redskins thing is just flat out absurd so I can't really dignify it with a response. I'm surprised they haven't gone after the Nashville PREDATORS. That's kind of iffy. They would be so much better off POLITICALLY if they stuck to minimum wage and healthcare, whatever your position may be on those issues. I do believe Trump occasionally plays games with race, but why not play that game when you know the left will make fools of themselves with the histrionics? He knows exactly what he's doing.
  20. I wasn't saying it was a good strategy. It's a given that McD is a conservative HC. What I am saying is that if I had to guess, I'd guess they're most blindsided by the inability to establish the run. If they could do that, they would at least be competitive in most games. I will concede to the optimists that they knew this would not be a GREAT season. I don't for a second believe they envisioned it being THIS awful. The idea that they knew they'd get blown out on a weekly basis and that this is some kind of master plan strikes me as absurd.
  21. The problem is not that those teams are switching coaches. It's that they're hiring the wrong coaches in the first place.
  22. I'll give you Belichick and Carroll, but Reid was hardly a guy who was fired too soon. I mean they gave the guy what, 16 years? Reid is solid, but I think the premise of this thread is a good one. VERY seldom does a coach get fired "too quickly."
