  1. I understand this was an analytical ranking. Just quibbling with a couple spots.
  2. Right. No one cares so it's a waste of time to campaign on it. The same way Republicans don't campaign on abortion anymore. Politics is a contact sport and you have to choose your battles wisely.
  3. Matt Lafleur is a name to watch. He's not gonna make a lateral move, but I think we'll be looking for a HC in the not too distant future.
  4. The good teams are generally never well under the cap. They find ways to restructure, etc. It would be asinine to think there's a long term advantage to staying comfortably under the cap.
  5. Gaines is trash. Surprised it took them this long. All the replacements have outplayed him.
  6. This 100%. It's as if the homers think we ENJOY our skepticism (understatement) of Allen. It sucks! It's not fun. I'd love for you to be wrong. I'd love for Allen to be some kind of freak anomaly who improves accuracy/anticipation issues in the NFL. Sadly, I'm pretty much convinced that you're right.
  7. Ugh. #IVoted is trending on twitter. As if the actual stickers weren't pretentious enough, they've now gone viral!
  8. 10 years is far too early to judge a GM/HC. You've got to take into account retirements, climate change, games in London shifting the NFL landscape etc. I'm not going to judge this regime until 2030 at the earliest. If things are still looking bleak, I'll be right there with you holding a pitchfork!
  9. I'm of the OPINION that none of these rookie QB's are going to pan out. That's an opinion I'm entitled to hold. I was, however, being glib in my response. And I don't agree that almost all rookie quarterbacks are BAD. Most of the good ones are just below average. For every Jared Goff, there's 100 Kyle Boller's.
  10. Meh. Edwards next game after the hit in Arizona was against the Chargers. He went 25-30 for 261 yards, 1 TD, no picks. That has always struck me as a false narrative. He just wasn't very good.
  11. By the time the offense is any good in this hypothetical rebuild, we'll have exactly zero edge pass rushers. You know, the most important position on defense. Jerry Hughes is getting old and Trent Murphy will be in a hoverround. This whole damn rebuild consists of nothing but euphemisms for incompetence.
  12. This seems to be getting lost in the shuffle. People tend to counter it with "they're on the field too much," which may be valid, but this is hardly a dominant defense. It's not that I disagree with the premise that running the ball and playing great defense is outdated. It's that we can't run the ball and we don't play "great" defense. So we're not even particularly good at McDermott's antiquated philosophical approach.
  13. And the same is true for this offseason, which is why they probably should have considered keeping their own "overpriced" receivers.
  14. I really don't have a problem with the OP creating a post voicing his displeasure with the fans' displeasure. That's his prerogative. What I don't understand is the constant complaints about threads that seem to be garnering attention. If you don't like them, it seems to me that it would make sense to ignore them. Maybe even create positive threads to compete and potentially drown them out. Many of us(myself included) spend way too much time here to complain about the content.
  15. I admire your optimism and commitment to this team. I really do. That optimism is entirely unwarranted IMO and the Bills will be much better off once we change course. At the end of the day, we all want the same thing but have drastically different views on how to get there. Nothing personal. All business.
  16. In all seriousness, it's somewhat unfair that Ray Rice was banished from the league and here we are giving Ike Turner yet another shot.
  17. So they were tanking all along, but once they won a few games, they stopped tanking. Now that they suck, they're back to tanking. It's hard to keep up with these geniuses because they're so ahead of the curve. Thank you for breaking it down.
  18. We may have to overpay, but if we can sign a few guys like Robert Woods, Sammy Watkins, Marquise Goodwin, and Cordy Glenn, I think we'll be fine.
  19. You'd like them even more if Billy Mays hadn't up and died on us. FlexSeal=Superbowl. FlexSeal+Billy Mays=Dynasty. You can't argue math.
  20. Appreciate your posts bro. Bring nothing but facts to the table.
  21. I actually WOULD feel better, but it probably wouldn't make any difference. You make valid points. I suppose what I'm getting at is that I like guys who play with an edge. Again, no way to quantify it, but I don't think we have many of them.
  22. I think they'll hide Allen as long as humanly possible. The hope he represents is the only thing keeping the McBeane coalition together. If he plays like crap, they could be gone after THIS season.
