  1. We really didn't appreciate Anthony Lynn or even Greg Roman for that matter. Daboll is worse. Much, much, much worse.
  2. Really? It's my fault? Sheesh. I had no idea I had that kind of power! I need to re-consider everything.
  3. Ok. I hadn't been to a game since 99 and I didn't smoke back then. I just found it odd because I'd been to a number of baseball and basketball games around the country and never had that issue. Appreciate the response as it's a petty issue.
  4. I went to my first game in a few years last season(Raiders) and there is no re-entry. Awful for a smoker. Is that a relatively new policy? Kind of off topic and yes, smoking is bad for you, but that sucked!
  5. I will be shocked if several posters don't hint they'd be dissatisfied if JA becomes "only" as good as Cam Newton. I will be more shocked if Josh Allen ever comes CLOSE to Cam's level of success.
  6. I'm really not here to get in pissing matches with fellow Bills fans. I don't like the direction of the team. I don't believe they know what they're doing. I don't believe in Allen. I don't like the moves they've made. But I'd be as happy as you to be wrong about every single one of those assessments.
  7. That's where you're wrong. I've paid very close attention to what this McD guy is "about." He's ABOUT to be out of a job unless they have the offseason of the century.
  8. Fair enough. I've never had a problem with their decision to not overpay for Gilmore. Gilmore was the one guy they couldn't afford cap wise, and he's not worth his price tag regardless.
  9. Additionally, I'll concede I didn't mind moving Dareus when we did. I hated the Sammy trade because explosive, competent receivers are SOOOO hard to come by. I don't mind overpaying them. At this point, I've lost all confidence in this regime's ability to evaluate pro personnel.
  10. McDermott wasn't able to maximize his ability. That much is true. Doesn't change the fact that between Dareus, Woods, Watkins, Glenn, Goodwin, and Gilmore, most of them are playing for Superbowl contenders. This regime will be scrambling to overpay for players like them this offseason.
  11. He's far better than Star. It's not even close. Our defense literally went to pieces for a 3 game stretch after he was traded. He was asked to be a space eater and that's what he was doing. Kind of like Star, except he occasionally made plays.
  12. Why do people keep saying they purged bad salaries when most of the guys we're talking about are playing for SuperBowl contenders?
  13. There is no room in the NFL for a QB that lacks the requisite arm strength to play the position. Not third string. Not practice squad. Nothing. Peterman has become a scapegoat for all of our offensive woes, but there's no reason to carry a QB who will never be able to play the position. I've never bought the whole perfect backup thing regarding any quarterback. They are not starters for a reason, but they damn well better be able to play if called upon. You don't carry a guy as a backup who can't play.
  14. You can parse the answer that way if you choose, and to be honest, he's in a tough spot. But to come out and say the competition itself was the problem just strikes me as absurd. The reality is that the problem was with their evaluation of the QB's competing.
  15. Didn't you read his answers? The problem wasn't Peterman. It was the competition itself. He's essentially saying they were fooled by Peterman's preseason performance, while the rest of the football world saw it for the sham that it was.
  16. A: “It’s not an easy move. You’re trying to make the best decision for your team. A.J. came here to be the starter, and we were great with that, but you try to have the best competition you can through practice and preseason games. Unfortunately, in preseason you may only have four of the 11 starters on the field, they might be playing vanilla and not showing anything on defense. The lesson here to me is you don’t want to (ever) be in a spot where you have a three-quarterback battle.’’ How in God's name does this answer not scare the hell out of Bills fans? No. The lesson is that you need A) good quarterbacks, and B) coach's able to properly evaluate talent. This fool is really trying to blame their collective incompetence on competition! That is beyond the pale. This guy has absolutely no idea what he's doing.
  17. Please. It's all a smokescreen. McDermott's gonna make the Jets sweat!
  18. Physically, Metcalf is Kelvin Benjamin 2.0, but it makes sense that a big target would be a good fit for a strong armed QB. Allen is going to have to gain a lot of confidence if that's gonna work. Gotta trust his receiver to make a play on a 50/50 ball. It may be counterintuitive from a physical standpoint, but I'd rather see them take Marquis Brown because he's going to get so much separation. Obviously we'd have to take Brown very early and Metcalf could conceivably be there in the second.
  19. I'll generally take the lowest totals under and the highest totals over. There's not a huge statistical advantage, but it seems to work out. I expect that game to go under as well.
  20. My Dad had 30 bucks at 20/1 on UB to win by >43. Thanks alot for slamming on the brakes in the fourth!
  21. The second we start using the Browns as some kind of barometer is the second we should just fold as an organization.
  22. I fear it's going to be a long wait.
  23. The more I consider their DL vs the Bills OL, the more I think 28.5 is about right.
  24. I completely disagree with the whole cap argument. The only guy they couldn't afford to pay was Gilmore. They were not in "cap hell." For better or worse, they decided to move on from the talent that was on the roster believing they could find better players who fit in with their version of "culture." They were pretty much like most middling teams; a QB away. Now they have a QB with a ton of question marks and huge holes to fill pretty much everywhere on the offensive side of the ball.
