  1. That's where I'm at. I'm not nearly as bullish on Allen as many, but everyone is just gonna have to wait on conclusive answers. Most, if not all of those questions will be answered next season.
  2. DiMarco may have been a world class middle school volleyball player for all you know. That could be our go to play next season. Just testing the waters.
  3. Ugh. Thanks. I feel strangely worse about the L today than I did even yesterday. There is nothing I hate more in sports than watching the team I'm rooting for squander a lead. Rather just get blown out. That 96.2 figure is REALLY annoying.
  4. I disagree that they won't care about the game after the weekend, but I've always believed fans "care" more than players. Just a different kind of "care" I suppose. Players will be critiquing their performance, lamenting mistakes, wishing they could have plays back, etc.. But I do believe it's more difficult for fans if we're talking emotion.
  5. Very brutal schedule. We're going to find out all we need to know about Josh Allen next season. They need to upgrade the offensive personnel (obviously) and Allen needs to play quite a bit better given that schedule. If he's a FRANCHISE QB, we're going to see the kind of leap that makes 10 plus wins attainable facing a tougher lineup.
  6. Hope they all lose and the SB ends in a tie.
  7. Romo all but said as much. To be perfectly honest, I hope he comes back and plays for New England, but I think he's going with McDaniel. He's already a below average QB. At 43? He would have been wise to retire LAST season, and he's gonna double down on the mistake. Same fire that made him the greatest won't allow him to accept the fact that he's done.
  8. Can't disagree on Gore/Yeldon. Gore is just a BAD RB at this point and I would have activated Yeldon and sat Gore. Poor decision.
  9. This is true, but if we're being honest, quite a bit of that falls on Allen.
  10. I'm not convinced running the ball more is the answer given the personnel. They still can't run the ball when they need to run the ball in short yardage situations. The OL is simply not a great run blocking unit and that needs to change. Singletary was very good, but the majority of his yards tend to come in non obvious run situations. I think they'd end up with little to nothing if they just force fed him the rock.
  11. Yeah. I'm guessing it was a wheel route that got extended based on the way the play transpired.
  12. No disrespect, but I'm not at ALL glad the Bills lost in this fashion and I'm not convinced it's a learning experience that will make them better. I'd prefer to see them learn while winning. There are the fire everyone knee jerk reactions on the other side of the equation, but I don't believe losing is some right of passage. They have to add talent and the QB needs to improve. This game neither seals Allen/McD's fate as losers or serves as some great lesson.
  13. The entire team. The offense didn't score enough points early when they had the mojo and the defense didn't get enough key stops late in the game. Allen deserves blame. Receivers deserve blame. OL deserves blame. Defense deserves blame. Total TEAM loss.
  14. There are certain minor things often overlooked that bother me about Allen's game. On the first down throw to Knox in OT, he should have gotten that ball out a second or two earlier. He was wide open with room to run. Knox actually converted the first down with an athletic move, but he's got to get better at reading/recognizing/releasing. There were some real WTF moments and some real "only Josh Allen can do that" moments. But at the end of the day, his career will be defined by his ability or lack there of to progress in the cerebral aspects of playing QB.
  15. You ain't been watching this team long enough if you don't have that "fear." Get em off the field!
  16. Feel the same way about this first possession. Huge swing depending on the results. Gotta continue to get in Watson's mug because that's been the key.
  17. Exactly. Play to your strengths. I would actually say McD is slightly less conservative than his rep. The team is not built to score a ton of points offensively, so play "smart" football(another tired cliche). They have maximized the talent on this roster, so just keep doing exactly what you did to get here in the first place and let the chips fall where they may.
  18. Taking the 2.5 isn't a bad idea, but I REALLY hope you don't win that bet by 1 or 2 points.
  19. I definitely remember Watt's contributions during that awful storm. And in case I ever forget, I'm sure JJ will find a way to tell us all about it.
  20. They're in the same spot as any team in need of a QB. Gotta draft someone or find one in FA'cy because Mitch ain't the answer. Worst thing they could do is continue to try to squeeze blood from a turnip.
  21. That was definitely a cool, subtle change that provided some contrast, especially if you don't like the unicolor look. Really though; I love the Bills current uni's and don't really mind any of the color combo's, but I'd love to see them get rid of that stripe and go back to the Standing Buffalo.
  22. I like the blue on blue AND the white on white. Seems like a generation gap thing. My main gripe overall is that I want to get rid of that stripe on the helmet. Looks "stale." The Standing Buffalo is "vintage" and one of the best logos in ALL of sports.
  23. Right. I'm "hopeful" the drop issues will subside with experience. Who knows? Maybe he's just a drop guy or maybe he'll get more comfortable as a receiver. But he's extremely talented and we have a serious deficiency at playmaker; especially guys under 30.
  24. Easy drops are a concern, but I'm definitely not gonna throw this kid under the bus. He's got all the talent in the world to be a real asset on offense. When he's "on," he's tough to cover. We certainly don't have a plethora of young playmakers, and I believe his ceiling is much higher than Singletary's.
