  1. Why is this question constantly asked when it's been answered by quantum physics? The answer is no. Without an observer, it never happened.
  2. People seem to have a hard time understanding that you can have empathy for someone without excusing their behavior. While he clearly did horrible things requiring consequence, there was something going on internally that nobody can fully comprehend. The guy drowned himself in a cold ***** river. I would say he paid his debt to society and then some.
  3. If you look at population exodus, people are moving away from colder weather climates in droves. If you think that's 100% driven by taxes, I've got a bridge in Brooklyn to sell you. Pennsylvania is shrinking, which is amazing considering overall population growth. Is that also 100% driven by taxes? All things being equal, most people would prefer to live in warmer climates. Not all, but most. You can summarily dismiss that if you wish, but it's a fact.
  4. Ok. Can we PLEASE stop the Barkley nonsense! It was a mirage. He is WHO WE THOUGHT HE WAS. A guy who can fling it around a little bit but not good enough and too turnover prone to ever be a starter. As skeptical as I am of Allen, he's your starter for the rest of this season. It's really that simple. A) He needs the experience and B)We need to gauge his progress. That does not mean they're gonna take a quarterback in the first round. They won't. But if the future looks uncertain, they can at least consider whether they want to explore contingency plans going forward. In a perfect world, he progresses as a passer. I'd like to see him run as infrequently as possible, especially this season when he needs to learn and the games don't matter.
  5. Retired player jerseys are meant to be retired in the back of your closet. I'd go with Tre White.
  6. He got into an altercation with the police either after he signed with the Bills or right before. Can't remember. That guy had moxie.
  7. One tidbit for the folks who claim our defense is hamstrung by offensive ineptitude. While it's true the offense is awful, they're actually 10th in the league in time of possession being on the plus side of 30:00 a game. The defense is good, but not nearly as good as some suggest.
  8. Bears will never win anything with Trubisky at QB. Nagy is an offensive genius, but you can only hide your QB for so long.
  9. The Lions are pretty used to being bad. Highly doubt they'll dump Patricia after one season.
  10. I would venture a guess that of all those teams, the Bills have the highest pctg. of basic fly routes on 20+ yard attempts. Very few well designed/executed throws in the 20-30 yard range.
  11. Ha. My cousin was up for 40 days! Either intentional or horrible coincidence. He's still tinkering around in the Giants organization, but he's never gonna get a 41'st day.
  12. McKenzie looked adept with the fly sweep. Tiny sample size, but Daboll seems to like them and he's the one guy on the roster with the skill set to make it work. I expect to see more of that going forward.
  13. Fair enough. What I do appreciate about this post is that you demonstrate the fundamental understanding that skepticism of Allen does not make one any less of a Bills fan. Too many people seem to have that twisted. For 3 hours a week, nothing is more important than the Bills game. In a meaningless game against a team that didn't care up 28 at halftime, I was still freaking nervous that we'd find a way to blow it. Never mind the fact that the game meant nothing and it probably would have been better to lose. I was sweating bullets when Hauschka lined up to kick the game winner against Tennessee. Faith is worthless. If hoping something to be true made a difference, the Bills would win the SuperBowl every year. I think Allen's inaccuracy issues and lack of awareness in the pocket will ultimately lead to his football demise. I would love to be wrong about that.
  14. Uh, why did you state the last part sarcastically? There's no uproar because Baker Mayfield can actually play.
  15. As Bart mentioned, weather plays a more important role in that than some want to admit. I love the Buffalo area and I find it comical when people from Philly, NYC, etc. talk about Buffalo being cold. It's not much different. But there is a big difference when it comes to the south and the west.
  16. He was also incredibly good looking etc. What made the story sad is that he was clearly not well mentally. I'm not placing any blame on circumstance or family instability. I think that paints an incomplete picture. Plenty of people are able to overcome that, especially if given the gifts bestowed upon Hardy. However, nobody in a healthy mental state runs around the neighborhood in diapers or drowns themselves in a cold river. There were some awful things going on in dude's head. I don't know that there was an answer other than Hardy snapping out of something that was seemingly beyond his control. He's ultimately responsible for his death, but it doesn't make it any less heartbreaking. Sure you are.
  17. EJ and Tyrod should be grateful the Bills gave them a shot. Nate Peterman is a pillar of virtue and deserves to ride off into the sunset in glorious fashion for what he had to endure.
  18. And San Diego. That was not a competitive game despite the final score. McDermott does some things well, but this is just pure insanity from someone who clearly has no idea what they're doing.
  19. So you want to continue to trot Allen out there year after year even if he looks like trash? It's cool if you're from Wyoming or just have a thing for Josh Allen. I'm a Bills fan, but to each their own.
