Crawford was the name that came to mind because the baseball geeks were citing it as an awful signing for the Red Sox as speed was his main attribute. Fans scoffed and thought he'd be great. I think Shady can still be productive next season if the Bills are able to block and scheme better. Let's just pray McCoy is more Ricky Henderson than Crawford. Ricky hit a HR in 25 straight seasons!!!! Nuts. Tim is a solid reference because like Shady, Rock is an excellent nickname.

It's clear I'm in the minority on the red on red. I also like the blue on blue/white on white with our current unis which are essentially throwbacks with a slight twist. Either way, they're the best uniforms we've had in a long time, actually my favorite unis in the league. Only alteration I'd make is to get rid of the unnecessary stripe over the standing buffalo. I've got zero complains. The uni in my avatar was no good and the Kelly era unis would just look bad IMO. They had their time. That helmet is actually badass.

This. If you're going to spend money to improve the defense, which they should, the priority needs to be pass rusher. First guys you target on defense is pass rushers. It's really the only way to mitigate opposing offenses. Next you pay corners. I think we're pretty well set there and I think McD can find one with a later round pick. Pass rushers are absolutely essential. With Hughes and Lorax on the wrong side of thirty and Murphy consistently on the wrong side of the injury report, any defensive money or picks would be best invested in edge rushers. Don't really care if it's an OLB or a DE.

That's a really awful spot to be in as a quarterback. The entire city/organization is waiting for Mayfield to play. Didn't work out very well for Sam Bradford either, who some on this board seem to want to bring in. Things that make you go hmmm.

It may be arbitrary, but it's far from meaningless. You're clearly cherry picking teams. If you want to play that game, Tennessee and Minnesota have the number 1 and 2 ranked RZ defenses. There's a reason Tennessee is 5-4 despite an atrocious offense and Minnesota is Minnesota. New England hasn't had a great defense in years, but they're always among the best in the RZ. This season has been an anomaly for them as they're giving up a terrible 60%. That's STILL better than Buffalo. It's not a coincidence that their RZ defense generally outperforms other defensive metrics. It's important. The Bills need to get better there. It's really that simple.

If they're holding opponents to 50% TD's on those possessions, it actually makes the overall 67% rate look even worse. They need to fix that.

If you're Sam Bradford, it's kinda like robbing a bank with no repurcussions.
