  1. There's no need to bash Tyrod for this. I see it time and time again week after week from vet QB's to rookies. There are obviously far fewer opportunities than in the past because they blow most of them dead. Nice to see that JA has that alterness about himself.
  2. Pretty sure you meant glass half empty. And it's my nature to expect the worst and be pleasantly surprised if things go well. I'm staunchly averse to disappointment.
  3. Since it's officially Marty Schottenheimer day at TBD, Marty won a WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP as fearless leader of the UFL's Virginia DESTROYERS!!!!!!!!!!
  4. Time is actually constant. Your perception of time is the variable.
  5. When ScottLaw makes a statement like this, it's clear the guy has shown that those of us in the bust camp have seen some potential. Don't mistake criticism for hate. It's on Josh's play to do the talking. He'll either improve or he won't. The "skeptics" are willing to give him a shot because 99% of us would love him to succeed. There's probably like 2 or 3 posters who'd rather be right than see the Bills have success.
  6. You guys seem really obsessed with excusing that completion percentage. I recall 2 AWFUL drops in the Jets game. Clay and Jones dropped 2 perfect passes. The truth is that Allen will probably never be a high percentage guy and that's perfectly fine. Cam Newton has had MVP seasons with mediocre completion percentages because he's got a similar skill set to JA. If he can get a little better with the bunnies, I expect somewhere in the upper 50's next season and with his arm strength and mobility, that would be perfectly fine.
  7. We'll never see completely eye to eye until Allen proves it but hot damn do you put in work!
  8. Yeah. Not like anybody breaks such laws.? I actually think widespread legal gambling leads to LESS funny business.
  9. Then my OPINION is that the NFL should concern themselves with more important things. Shouldn't members of the Raiders, Chargers, Broncos, Lions, 49'ers, Rams, and Seahawks be immune to the rule because it's legal where they're employed?
  10. The question is more about whether it's a good policy or a bad policy. It's not about legality. I get the sense that you think it's a good policy, which is fine. That's YOUR opinion.
  11. Yep. 3rd and 3. Do it on 1st or 2nd down and there's zero criticism.
  12. Brooks pointed out the lack of weapons on offense. Do you really think casual readers want to hear these points you made valid as they may be?
  13. It will be legal EVERYWHERE in the United States with the possible exception of Utah within 10 years. Guaranteed. I don't even like weed but it's nowhere near as dangerous as alcohol. The laws are stupid, which is why they are changing. Many players smoke as an alternative to OPIATES, which are INFINITELY more harmful. Again, why does the NFL care with everything else going on? It's asinine.
  14. Why does the NFL even give a damn about weed with everything else going on?
  15. Not just Marty. The whole damn Schottenheimer family is getting the business around here today. I don't quite get it either. Does Brian have a son we can piss on?
  16. They didn't play against the Jets and his completion percentage was 50%. Even the skeptics are encouraged by his play, but there's no need to grasp at straws. He's got some work to do as a passer. With his mobility, he doesn't need to be a Drew Brees type, but he still needs to improve. It's really not that bad.
  17. How are the numbers deceiving? We've had a few more drops than the average team, but nothing egregious. Josh needs to get better as a passer and the hope and expectation is that comes with time. There was nothing grotesquely unfair in that snippet.
  18. Hopefully the dude figures out what he wants to do with his life. Let he without sin cast the first stone.
  19. I remember a thread about Julio Jones and the consensus was against it because he's 30, yada, yada, yada. You're not getting Jerry Rice in his prime. We're not getting perfection. All UPGRADES should be explored. The Eagles were terrible at receiver Wentz's first year so they acquired a bunch of guys to see who would stick. That's the approach we need to take.
  20. That back shoulder throw to Foster late in the Jets game was the best throw Allen has made as a pro IMO. Awesome play.
  21. I'd like to see his PFF grade in pass pro. Based on the eye test, I don't see him as anything but mediocre. He's not terrible, but it's probably the second most important position on offense. Would prefer an upgrade.
