  1. Terrible signing. For some odd reason, he has a lot of defenders who seem to think he clogs up blockers and yada yada yada. I don't see it. He's gonna be here for awhile so we have to deal with it, but I'm not going to pretend like a guy who never makes plays and doesn't seem to have any impact at the LOS is some kind of gamer. I wish I could be as hopeful as others about everything McBeane does because my life would be more enjoyable. Reality sucks. All GM's make bad decisions. This was a bad decision. Leave the Carolina players alone!
  2. This is my problem with the front seven. What you say is true as you're often the voice of reason. That being said, you can't "gameplan" for a dominant defensive line. That's where I'd be focusing my resources this offseason. Baltimore has a great defense. Buffalo has a good defense.
  3. The guy we're paying a fortune to eats space isn't doing him any favors, but I agree with the consensus that Edmunds is best suited as a WLB. I'm starting to think Star is an ironic nickname. Like a fat guy everyone calls Tiny. On the plus side, Lorax balled out even if his physical limitations were evident a couple of times. True pro.
  4. I don't think Beane or Pegula read this message board enough to know that this regime has FIVE YEARS to figure it out. Beane will be ALL IN this offseason. 2019 is make or break.
  5. I know it's human nature to have these knee jerk reactions, but the fact of the matter is next season is make or break for McDermott and in some ways, Allen. They have all the resources to upgrade both sides of the ball. If there isn't marked improvement from McDermott AND Allen, it's time to start looking elsewhere. Making declarations one way or another is fine for a message board. That's kind of what we do. It is however, an exercise in futility. Was not impressed with McDerott or Allen today but also didn't expect to beat the Patriots.
  6. I think we can also safely say this front 7 needs a game changer and the notion that the defense is "set" has to be put to bed. We clearly missed Milano, but there were far too many guys either mailing it in or simply not physically up to the challenge.
  7. For me, "accuracy" is not the issue with Josh as much as recognition. It's very obvious we have a meager group of wide receivers. What he needs to improve on is scanning the entire field and finding the best possible target. This is something that we can excuse because of inexperience, but he's EJ Manuel if he doesn't make strides. I'm not writing any books on Allen as his career has just begun, but this is a concern.
  8. We rarely see eye to eye, but finger painting was such a terrific abstract activity to reference.
  9. This is one of the more frustrating trips to Foxborough because that team is beatable. I don't expect them to win a single playoff game.
  10. Lorax, Hyde, and Poyer are the only guys on defense who seem to want to be there. There's a whole lot of mailing it in and that's disconcerting.
  11. This is the kind of game where you want to see what Allen is made of mentally. It's pretty clear there's virtually no chance to win, but I want to see him continue to compete and rally the troops.
  12. Remember the thread about not using any assets on defense? I disagree.
  13. Thanks McKenzie. Fell asleep? I thought for sure that punt hit a Bills player at the 50.
  14. Vance Joseph is shaking his head at McDermott right now. Trust your defense! I like to think he's gonna learn a lot from these low leverage games. That was the correct decision not because we have nothing to lose but because it's mathematically correct. Josh Allen can get 6 inches any time he needs it. Especially from some members of this board.?
  15. Jordan Poyer clearly is not concerned with our draft position. Love the fire.
  16. An offensive hold is not a free play Josh! Got away with one.
  17. This may seem blasphemous, but I wanted that kick to be a make. Either Allen engineers a go ahead drive or draft position is improved. An opposing kicker missing a kick isn't something to build on.
  18. Anyone questioning McDermott's decision to go for it needs to go back to 82 and take State with Uncle Rico. Poor execution, but it was absolutely the right call.
