  1. I love the comparison to Harper. I'm a Tigers fan and at this point, they're paying Cabrera 30 mil annually to play 20 games and hit a few singles. Sad state of affairs with that team, but that's rather beside the point. Just a silly move by an old man doing his damndest to win a ring before he died.(Sadly, he failed). Teams are far less likely to pay such players since the Cabrera and ARod fiascos. I think Harper will be vastly overpaid for unrelated reasons, but his youth drives up his price tag big time. Bottom line is Edmunds will be judged based on how he performs and they don't get any points because he was 19. Super Kiko would be awesome.
  2. I took Fergy seriously for awhile until I caught on. Dude is a genius. I agree with the take on Edmunds. His age is actually a detriment to the Bills if he pans out. By the time he hits FA'cy, his value would theoretically be sky high presuming he developed into a stud. At THAT point, his youth would drive his price tag through the roof. Obviously that would mean we got solid production, but it's silly to think his youth somehow makes him a better draft prospect. As an aside, I don't think he's a MLB. If the regime is smart, they'll move him outside where he can be even more valuable and fill the MLB position in free agency. Decent run stuffing MLB's with ADEQUATE coverage skills are not difficult to find.
  3. My grandmother was the worst gift giver. She'd scour bargain racks and get us all like 100 things that all sucked. We'd have a competition every year for worst/best gift. My all time favorite had to be a flag pole with no flag. I think that was for one of my brothers so I can't technically claim it as my own.
  4. I wouldn't be SHOCKED to see that happen THIS season. Brady is a champion in the truest sense of the word.(Facts are facts fellow Bills fans). With Belichick being Belichick, he's more than capable of devising game plans to beat any opponent. I would be SHOCKED to see it NEXT season. I don't believe Brady's body will hold up for another grueling season with an average OL and a mediocre receiving core with Gronk hobbling like a 50 year old. We shall see.
  5. Easy. Pluck the Peterman off the Raiders practice squad and give him "one last shot."
  6. Taron Johnson looks like a triple considering his draft slot. Star was a GIDP. McKittrick looks like a sac fly that could potentially extend the inning.
  7. I love these freaking things. Amazing play by RJ there. If only that dude had some football intelligence. Edit; I remember that game too without looking it up. That's how sick I am. It was week 2 or week 3 and we ended up losing like 13-7. I was a big time RJ defender sadly enough.
  8. Not the intention of the post. I'm pointing out that it would have required a great catch by the time Thomas turned, not that there was anything wrong with the pass. Had Thomas made a move for the ball more quickly, it wouldn't have been an issue. It's going to be important for Allen to get a lot of reps with his receivers to get the timing down with his unusual velocity.
  9. https://twitter.com/Cianaf/status/1077667381621739532 I know it's hard to believe, but Josh Allen is not perfect. I've seen a lot of positives and a lot of negatives. Only time will tell.
  10. We don't have a single elite or even above average receiver just like we didn't in 2017. It's a problem. I was specifically referencing the Logan Thomas play in the Pats game. Not sure anyone would ever confuse Logan Thomas with a great tight end.
  11. No. You must believe all Process related material lest ye be castigated you Bills hating basement dwelling stats geek. All you seem to care about is RESULTS. You don't seem to want to understand my rationalization for those results. So shame on you! I really can't understand the people that want to see the Bills win now when being awful is the ultimate goal. Merry Christmas.
  12. That's how you WANT to feel because it would mean there will be a magical resurgence. As a Michigan fan, I've never been a Brady basher. Half heartedly rooted for him on occasion because of that connection. Even if it's "something else," the combination of that something else and age portend only a further downward trajectory for Brady. This time, it's over.
  13. I'm glad we got a pick for Funkhouser. Score one for Beane. I'd prefer to see us winning the war and not these small skirmishes though.
  14. I wonder about Mike Tomlin. I don't begrudge the decision go for it in the NO game, but if you're gonna go out swinging, you go out with your HOF QB. The Steelers are a stable organization and don't make flippant decisions, so my guess is he'll be back for one more crack at it. Sidenote; Did anyone catch Bruce Arians giving himself a plug during the broadcast? "These teams need to hire experienced head coaches." He wants in somewhere.
  15. No. I'll take to the internet and offer my unsolicited opinion that it's time for a change. You would likely be grasping at straws for the latest excuse du jour. That's kind of the point of this very message board; an opportunity for fans to voice views that mean virtually nothing in the grand scheme of things. My hope is that we're talking about results this time next year and not excuses OR firings.
  16. Completely disagree that a decent TE makes that catch 8/10 times. Thomas could have made the play, but it would have been a great catch. Not a highlight reel catch, but a great one. Josh's arm strength is a definite plus but it also puts receivers in tough positions on occasion. This was one of those times. The pic everyone keeps displaying gives a distorted view of the play. Ball was coming at Thomas HOT and he had just made his move towards it. A TOP TE probably makes that catch 50 percent of the time.
  17. The pass pro has been only below average. Run blocking sucks. I've seen worse units.
  18. Correct. No more excuses next season though, right? Playoffs are coming to Buffalo in 2019.
  19. I think even those of us who don't believe in Beane realize he wasn't going to be able to keep him in Buffalo with the LOS ANGELES Rams highly interested. Not gonna bash the guy for something that wasn't his fault.
  20. And Ryan was playing in the ACC as opposed to the MW, but never mind that. QB's that aren't prolific in college do not have a good track record in the NFL. That's a fact. Didn't create the fact. Didn't cherrypick info. Just stating a very basic fact. Hopefully Allen bucks the trend. Interesting you went into defensive mode as opposed to noting that Favre indeed sucked at Southern Miss. Why not cling to the positive anomaly? There's always a chance.
