  1. Not even if they win the Superbowl. They'll thank Foles for his amazing service and move on with their franchise QB.
  2. I'm taking all (theoretical of course) wagers on the Eagles dealing Wentz. I'll give you 3/1 odds.
  3. The defense is not good enough because they lack an elite play maker on the line. They are not even league average in the redzone or scoring. You can change that with one player. You think the Eagles wanna give up Fletcher Cox? Naaaaah. We all know the offense needs a major overhaul, but it would be foolish to ignore one side of the ball. The defense is much closer to being dominant than the offense. If they want to win next season, they need to make sure they can at least rely on the D. This iteration of the NFL (defensively) is all about red zone stops, turnovers, and pressuring the opposing QB. It's entirely possible the offense is only marginally better next season because they'll be relying on an unproven QB and a ton of new players. No improvement on defense and it's quite possibly the last year for McBeane. Yep. It's highly like the BPA will be a defensive lineman.
  4. Didn't know Jackson was a vet. Good for him. Don't see him as an NFL quarterback even with that invaluable experience in combat. Sloooooow release.
  5. Fair enough. Was never a big Flutie believer, but I think this particular debate has been dealt with pretty extensively.?
  6. Continuity for the sake of continuity is a good thing if the goal is to go 7-9. Relieved to hear that Daboll isn't jumping ship for a HC gig?, but they damn well better improve big time next season or this will be his last stint as an OC.
  7. I stand by my criticism of the RZ defense, scoring defense etc., but it largely stems from frustration. They are CLOSE. There are so many things they need to get right on offense, but the defense is one impact player away IMO.
  8. Remember when the speculation was that he would only take the Cleveland job? Psh. Ok bub. I knew he was gonna get back in the ring when he kept chirping about teams needing to hire an experienced HC during the NE broadcast. Probably a good hire for TB as they've been just brutal choosing up and comers.
  9. I would have zero problem drafting a stud defensive lineman at 9. Did you see the part where our scoring defense was below average? The myth that the defense was "tired" is just that; a myth. The Bills time of possession was middle of the pack. What you see with this defense is that they are very close to being top tier. Like one player away close. Like one stud edge or interior pass rusher close. They need a game changer in the front 7. Spend all other resources on offense for all I care, but get me one difference maker at DL.
  10. Did you want to give Flutie another crack at the playoffs? The same guy who fumbled away the previous season at the goal line against a Dolphins team that got curb stomped the following week by 50 POINTS! RJ left the field after what should have been a game winning drive against a team that came within inches of a SB victory.
  11. The Ravens hadn't been to the playoffs since 2014. They started the season 3-5 with Flacco(The win against Peterman doesn't count.) I'm sure they were disappointed by and large in Jackson's performance, but they probably don't even make the playoffs without him. For the record, he finished the day with a 78.8 passer rating and 56 yards rushing. They were one possession away from what would have been a historic comeback. He's still a rookie and all rookies improve, correct? Let's hope so.
  12. Quite conceivable that he could be drafted in the same range as a Cardale Jones. Not sure why Brad Riter is CONVINCED he'd be better off staying in college. There's absolutely no way to know what would happen. If I'm a prospect, I'm going pro as soon as someone is willing to pay me.
  13. The timeline of the contract leads to some vagueness. As far as I can tell, he'd be a UFA should he return the 2m making a trade moot. It appears as though there's a time gap between Philly's option decision and Foles 2 m void. I'm sure the Eagles will try to find a way to get a return on Foles and I'm also pretty sure they wouldn't trade him somewhere he didn't want to go. As you said, we'll find out more.
  14. That means you had the "right" side on all 4. The public did very well this weekend.
  15. Yes. I'm sure they will try to make that happen, but the Bills should be involved if there's mutual interest. There is no way any team goes into the season relying on Eifert. He's a flier guy at this point. I know he hasn't produced much, but I feel like Maxx Williams could be a good fit here. I think we need multiple TE's and he could be a solid under the radar pickup.
  16. The pass to Dimarco wasn't as impressive, but it was also a nice touch pass. Those are the plays that will ultimately define his tenure IMO.
  17. My assumption would be that if he had a trade veto, such a detailed analysis of the contract notes would have included it. Are you a betting man?
  18. Mine is probably somewhat unusual but it was the dumpoff to Ivory in the final game that nearly resulted in a TD. It was the best play Josh Allen made all season IMO placing it perfectly over the LB. Improvised and hit the streaking checkdown option. If he can do that with consistency, he'll be the guy we all want him to be.
  19. Shhhhhh. People love false narratives. Carson Wentz is a foundational QB. I don't know what the deal is with Foles and these runs, but there is zero chance Foles starts over Wentz in Philly long term. Foles will get a shot as you said, but it won't be in Philly.
  20. I hate to judge body language, but you could damn near tell Parky was gonna miss that kick. Such a mental position. Hauschka had a dip in performance after the injury, but he seems to have ice water in his veins. First kicker I've trusted in a long time. Rian Lindell had the same look as Parky any time he lined up for an important kick.
  21. He's grown a few inches since his first stint with the Bills. Never know with these DB's converted to WR's, but I like the upside. Also like that McBeane is willing to work with guys who've had some issues in the past. If we have the right "culture," we should be able to absorb big personalities.
  22. Good call on the game, but I wouldn't say it was totally out of hand considering they had the ball with a chance to score at the end. The Jackson stuff seems a little over the top. He's an odd player so clearly people will see different things. Disirregardless, you called a Chargers W and that's what occurred.
  23. Ravens haven't been to the playoffs since 2014, started 4-5, and went on a nice little run with a rookie QB. Safe to say they feel good about their situation going forward. Chargers averted what would have been an epic meltdown. Maybe Rivers will get a little spark now that they've advanced.
  24. Gotta give Harbaugh credit for sticking with Jackson. Kid has some moxie.
