  1. I honestly believe more often than not it's because the family doesn't want to live in the "snow." Buffalo has milder winters than Minnesota, Green Bay, and Chicago, but the reputation precedes itself.
  2. That and STRONG hands. For all the dismissal about Allen throwing too hard, there's merit. I'd take a good look at hand size among the receivers as silly as that may seem.
  3. A tomato is scientifically categorized as a fruit as it's technically the means by which a plant spreads it's seed and not the plant itself. However, the Supreme Court deemed them vegetables in a case involving the Tariff Act of 1883. The more you know. At any rate, I'm sure Fast Freddie Kitchens will be cookin up some serious gameplans for his young Baker.
  4. The Raiders have already bounced back and forth between Oakland and L.A. They're much more of a regional/national brand and aren't exclusively tied to Oakland. I'd have much more of a sentimental issue with it if the Packers left Green Bay. The Packers ARE Green Bay and vice versa. Legally, the city of Oakland has no chance to win the lawsuit.
  5. I'm sure I'm in the minority around these parts, but I'd be more than willing to deal with the attitude to have a QB with that resume. Never really cared about that stuff. As much as people b word about Rodgers attitude, the problem with that team starts with the front offense. They've been one of the least talented rosters for a few years now.
  6. I membah the Magic Man. I membah Vince Workman too. He was from Buffalo.
  7. I doubt their lobbying helped Reich's cause. If anything, it hurt the cause with a bunch of former players lobbying to get him hired. "Hire Frank, he never partied with us, knew the X's and O's in 1993!" Glad Brandon is gone and Reich actually would have been a good hire, but I could envision that not going well with any front office.
  8. I had never thought of the comparison, but Shaq 2.0 is EXACTLY how I view Gary. He's a solid player and that's it. He was a top recruit, but it never translated even at the collegiate level. As far as Williams, there's too many intricate passing concepts in the league for 2 corners to shut down an O IMO. If he were drafted by the Bills, we'd probably have the best CB situation in the league with White/Williams/Johnson. My guess is that teams would still find a way to make plays through the air if the defense wasn't able to generate pressure. Much more a fan of stopping a play before it gets going.
  9. I HIGHLY doubt it, but the other Josh Allen will be long gone at 9. Would have been awesome.
  10. Not to pile on the OP, but along the same lines, it's silly to assume Renfrow=Welker.
  11. Yeah. I think Greedy Williams is a fine prospect who will likely be an upper echelon corner, but I don't want to allocate a top ten pick to another corner. McBeane has proven capable of addressing that position without such an enormous investment.
  12. AJ Green will be better than Hunter Renfrow when Green is 45 years old. There is VERY little reason to believe Renfrow will ever be in the same league as Wes Welker. I understand you're asking about slot receivers in general, but the best approach is to acquire good players whether they're 6'4 or 5'10. If I had to pick a "type" of receiver that would work well with Allen, it would be guys with STRONG hands and an above average catch radius.
  13. I hate getting into conspiracy nonsense, but I truly believe we get screwed by the refs because the Bills being good is perceived as bad for the league financially. Outside of the rabid fanbase, we're largely viewed as a team that doesn't interest people. Of course that could change if we develop some stars, but that's the way I see it for now. Conversely, as a Michigan fan, I feel like they get the benefit of officiating because Michigan is good for business. This is obviously not the case across the board and officials can't even necessarily cost us games, but it's a small factor IMO. As to standardization of officiating, I think it's almost impossible. I'm all in favor of replay for certain penalties as well as enhanced use of technology, but I doubt that would be a popular proposition as the league probably doesn't want to expand average game length.
  14. I remember when our kicker was Arians and our punter was Moorman. That was weird. Found it kind of strange that Jake didn't go into coaching. According to the interwebs, he's in the real estate game.
  15. Yeah. This draft is kind of odd in that way. As I said, I don't want Williams, but I don't exactly love anyone either. Ferrell would be the guy right now, but a lot can change between now and April/May/ whenever they hold it these days. No corners! McBeane can find them under a rock.
  16. A lot of boom or bust type hires lately. It seems as though NFL teams are somewhat overcompensating for their past conservatism. If I were a Cardinals fan, I wouldn't mind swinging for the fences. It's not like a strikeout is gonna end a big inning the way things are going down there.
  17. There seems to be a bit of a consensus regarding Gary; nobody wants him, myself included. At least I know who we'll end up taking.?
  18. That is a more IMPORTANT question, but there's always been that ONE guy I simply did not want the Bills to draft. Was curious as to whether or not others had a similar sentiment.
  19. I wouldn't say I'm high on Little per se. I would say I rank him higher than Williams simply because he has more potential. The reports are indeed troubling and I'm sure the regime will do their due diligence regarding FOOTBALL character. My guy is Ferrell at 9 as this draft is top heavy at Dline and we could certainly use an impact player there.
  20. Total agreement on Gary. I'm a Michigan fan so I watched every game. Absolutely do not see him as an impact player at the next level.
  21. That's a fair take, but I've been opposed to Williams AT 9 for awhile. I just don't see him as an NFL LT based on measurables. If we were to trade down and he were available lower in the first round, I wouldn't have a problem with it because I think he could potentially be a very solid interior OL man.
  22. I figured that name would pop up rather quickly. Very polarizing prospect. I'm pretty ambivalent on Oliver, but he's NOT Aaron Donald physically.
  23. Every year when the draft comes around, there seems to be 4 or 5 players linked to the Bills either because of need or draft slot. There is always that one guy I absolutely do not want the Bills to draft. Last year, I was vehemently opposed to Darnold. Turnover machine at USC that never seemed to rise to the occasion. Also superficially(admittedly unfair), didn't want that particular face to represent the franchise. Darnold had a solid rookie season, but I remain unconvinced. This year, that player is Jonah Williams. I understand there are several TBD member sold on Jonah, but I don't see it. I don't view him as a LT and I don't want to take a guy at 9 without a clear cut NFL position. My question is this; is there a player in this draft(or in recent years) tangentially linked to the Bills who's name you absolutely don't want to hear when we're on the clock? If so, who is that player and why?
  24. More likely Arizona over New York City IMO. Seems like a southwest kind of guy.
