  1. I used to refer to them as Dennelsay. Decent depth ends that had no business playing a prominent role. We always had a crap pass rush during those years.
  2. Andy has helped and is a great offensive mind, but nobody has explained to me how Mahomes threw 20 MORE TOUCHDOWNS than any of his QB's in 20 YEARS as a Head Coach. It ain't all Andy or that offense. Mahomes is the real deal.
  3. That's exactly what I was thinking. There is nothing worse than a Ryan Tannehill, who's not quite bad enough to bench, but not nearly good enough to get it done. He's the definition of a coach killer. My preference with Allen is that he never falls into that category. Either take off and fly(HIGHLY PREFERABLE) or make it clear you're not the answer. Don't keep us in limbo! Chicken or egg. Average QB's tend to get coach's fired because the organization doesn't want to give up on the QB. We just need the right OC or HC! Not a big fan of Winston or Mariotta.
  4. I would say the Bills got more out of Byrd's 4 years than they did out of Kelsay's 10.
  5. Josh Reed: Meh Chris Kelsay: hung around for a long time. Never a high impact guy, but decent career. Roscoe Parrish: Great punt returner. Never a high impact offensive player. Decent career. Jairus Byrd: Home run pick. Great player(with the Bills) Aaron Williams: Was developing into a solid safety. Unfortunate ending. Kiko Alonso: Very solid pick regardless of how you feel about him personally Ronald Darby: Excellent pick Reggie Ragland: Meh Zay Jones: Looks like a poor draft choice right now, but still has a chance to improve and contribute. Dion Dawkins: Looks like a solid pick.
  6. We have to be the most thin skinned fan base in the NFL. Mahomes is very, very good. You're kidding yourself if you don't believe that to be true. The hope is that Allen can be very, very good. He's not there yet. This is turning into an Allen/Mahomes debate. If Allen is the real deal, none of this will matter and the Bills will be fine. As Stevie Johnson would say, why so serious?
  7. Seems like many people already have the Colts beating the Chiefs. Better go to Vegas or your local bookie and get that free 2/1 on Indy. 5K to net 15k!
  8. Avion Black had the greatest name in NFL history and Leif Larson could lift a house. No thanks to Brady.
  9. Yep. Could definitely see it happening. I'm pretty accustomed to the Bills drafting the guys I specifically don't like, so it would be par for the course.
  10. Let's take a look at the passing TD statistics throughout Andy Reid's 19 year career as a Head Coach. Year Passing TD's 1999 18 2000 21 2001 32 2002 17 2003 27 2004 27 2005 21 2006 18 2007 24 2008 23 2009 27 2010 28 2011 22 2012 18 2013 24 2014 18 2015 20 2016 19 2017 26 2018 50 Case closed.
  11. It boggles my mind that people don't think Mahomes would be good playing on this team. Like he's entirely a product of the system. That is clearly not true. You can talk about Andy Reid all you like, but Mahomes threw for TWICE as many touchdowns in 18 as Alex Smith did in 17 playing with virtually the same team. Alex Smith also threw for 23, 18, 15, and 20 TD's respectively in the previous 4 years under the great Andy Reid. Guess what? Travis Kelce was a member of all of those teams. I'm not gonna get into hypothetical, unrealistic trade talk, but people really need to inform themselves if they think Mahomes is just a product of the system.
  12. Clearly based on quantifiable measurables and not production. I never discount metrics, but my OPINION is based on watching every game Gary has ever played at the collegiate level. He was a huge get for Harbaugh and I'm sure he'll shine at the combine. Much rather see another team take this player based on potential.
  13. Definitely a preference thing. I'd personally prefer snow and 28 than no snow and 15. Having said that, I choose to live in Las Vegas. Not a fan of winters anymore. As to the topic, I really do feel like we're at a competitive disadvantage. The only thing that can change that is consistent winning. That's something we haven't done in 25 years.
  14. Ha. I would love to see the Bills annihilate Brady as much as the next guy, but there's something really impressive about his focus. He has everything any human being could ever want, is the most accomplished NFL QB of all time, is over 40, but continues to work his ass off to be great. It's remarkable. Having said that, can't wait until the day I don't look at the schedule and pencil in a loss for both games against New England.
  15. Absolutely correct. This is probably one of the reasons Brady never hints at retirement. His edge over others is unprecedented drive/focus. He's the least physically gifted great QB of all time, but perhaps the greatest. I'm sure there are other examples, but Brady was the first name that came to mind.
  16. No thank you. Davis had a nice career, but he's 36!!!! I'd much rather use that roster spot on a young player. We already have Lorax in the front 7 to serve as a "mentor."
  17. That explains the disparity, especially since I'm not nearly as high on Allen as others. It all comes down to Allen I suppose. Thanks.
  18. As I've said before, it's concerning that his team seemed to lose all fire, but it's hard to gauge a HC when Tannehill, Jay Cutler, and BROCK OSWEILER. He's also been able to beat New England twice in 3 seasons. More than you can say for ANY Bills coach since the BBTB era. Would have much rather seen them hire McCarthy.
  19. Can someone please explain why Beane is more highly regarded than McDermott? McDermott has gotten the most out of his rosters in 2017 and 2018. I'm not sure if he's gonna get over the proverbial hump, but I have no complaints with the results based on the available talent. Beane's two major FA acquisitions have been underwhelming IMO. It seems to me that Beane just looks the part, but I'd like to hear an articulation if someone would be so kind to oblige. I have read through the entire thread and can't find a detailed explanation. Mostly just that he seems shrewd, etc.
  20. I'm not sold on Watson or Trubisky. Watson holds on to the ball far too long trying to extend plays. Don't like indecisive QB's. Trubisky is not an accurate passer IMO. Nagy made that offense work. 100 percent sold on Mahomes.
  21. I can't figure out for the life of me why this post received 2 negative "reactions." As to the question, I'm higher on McDermott than I am Beane. Not 100% sold on either and can't understand this infinite patience. I've seen some good and I've seen some bad, but it's time to see some results in year 3. It would be totally unacceptable to finish under 500 next season. If they finish 8-8, you'd have to analyze the progress of the team. 9-7 or better and they're safe.
  22. I would prefer to beat a high profile team because if we were to face, say the Lions, all casual idiots would talk about is the "boring" matchup.
  23. I feel like that game will be decided in the first quarter. Luck has a history of miracle comebacks, but I don't see one coming from that offense this year against the Chiefs. The Chiefs won't stop scoring if they get a lead. If the Colts get a few early stops, they're gonna be in control of the game. Interesting matchup. Just can't see either team coming back from 10 points down. If the COLTS get a lead, they're gonna go into their 8 minute 20 play TD drive mode.
