  1. Yeah. I watched him quite a bit this season and he was always making plays. Sometimes doubled. Sometimes singled. He DOMINATED what many considered to be the top LT in the draft in the NC game. I get the trepidation, but I like him alot as a player despite the broader points.
  2. I say don't be mad, find a way to get to Vegas and bet. 6 is the over and you more than double your money if they hit 7. This entire article is really about the Vegas over/unders.
  3. I'm no psychic, but I don't see terrific things for this thread.
  4. It makes sense, but it would have to be the worst NFL venue of all time. That place is a complete dump. It's one year though, so meh.
  5. At second glance, Barnwell is not deviating at all from the Vegas line. If you want to attack anyone, attack the linemakers.
  6. Plus money on the over. I think they'll get 7 plus wins, but wow. That line of 6 may as well coincide with will McBeane be employed by the Bills in 2020.
  7. One would hope. That is NOT going to cut it. Didn't realize Allen's QB rating was historically low. He bring much more than passing efficiency to the table, but he's got to make a big leap in year two with improved personnel. Very premature and worthless prognosis to be sure.
  8. Really? I find it ridiculous that the coach went at him like that. The guy is presumably 22 years old. This is a terrible reason to avoid him IMO. Not saying Oliver was totally in the right; just seems rather petty.
  9. We've all been there. Honestly, this guy is the dumbest person I've ever heard broadcast a game. ESPN actively lured him into the booth instead of playing another year! I will admit that I'm somewhat fascinated by his takes; in that they are so ridiculous that they're entertaining.
  10. I guess maybe Pat had him in fantasy football or something and Jason has the inside scoop.
  11. Reverse Ferrell and Oliver for me, but if we stay at 9, I'd love to see either one these guys be the pick.
  12. It was 10 degrees that day Josh......pull up a chair and I'll tell ya all about it. They had this kid who had to be about 250 and ran like a stallion. Name was Timmy I think. Anyways...we drew up some plays in the dirt and it was off to the races!
  13. For sure. CJ Anderson is like a good Mike Tolbert. Really funny looking, effective back. Gurley is just a stud.
  14. It is crazy to see that round fool running wild for the Rams, so it lends some credence to your argument. don't know the deal is with that, but I think Gurley is an ELITE player who brings consistent excellence at the position. Gurley's gotta be banged up. Hopefully the two weeks off helps.
  15. It takes two to tango, which is why I'm pretty focused on the 9th pick. I would have no problem trading back and landing Risner/Butler. The only Olineman I DONT want is Jonah Williams. Just not a fan. In your dream scenario, I'd like them to get a Tyre Brady(my favorite second tier receiver), a TE, but also an athletic type edge player who may be under the radar. Haven't done enough research. We're gonna have to find a RB somewhere. I would have no problem with them signing Hunt, but doubtful of that actually happening.
  16. Yeah. I wasn't specifically referencing THIS regime. Just taking a panoramic shot of the Bills. These guys haven't even drafted a RB. Ivory was a decent acquisition. Tolbert was awful. Gonna be tough sledding for any RB until they fix the line.
  17. I understand what you're saying here as it applies to the Bills because they've really been quite poor at evaluating late round RB's. However, the most productive RB the Bills have had since TT was FredEx and he was plucked off the scrapheap by Levy. RB's may not be "dime a dozen," but there seems to be an inordinate amount of successful RB's who were drafted late or not drafted at all compared to other positions. When you consider the shelf life of a RB, the RELATIVE interchangeability, and the FA price tag, it just doesn't make a ton of sense to draft one in the first round. I think it makes more sense for a team like the Pats who are already "there" and also picking in the 30's. If you take one top 10, he better damn well be a Todd Gurley and not a CJ Spiller. Hell, even Shady was taken with the 53rd pick. Not exactly late, but not top 10.
  18. Appreciate the detail. Completely agree that the OL is the most important component outside of the QB. If you've the QB and the OL, you really only need the receivers to be adequate. Now it's a bonus if you happen to have great "weapons," but it's not nearly as essential as the OL for sustained success. A byproduct as you stated is that you can impose your will on a defense in the run game if need be. I'm of the opinion that the value is at DL at pick 9, but the top offensive priority would be OL over receiver. There happen to be quite a few receivers I like in this draft that will go in the 3-5 range. If we go DL with the first pick, the second pick would preferably be OL followed by receiver. I think you adjust BPA once you get past the first round.
  19. Was it really? It was 2000. I know that because it was the year that followed the Nashville bull****. Was that their first year in Rochester or just SJF? Edit. Used the google function and 1999 was indeed the last year at Fredonia. I know it was difficult to even get into the practices. Not sure how much of that had to do with it being their first year or if that's common.
  20. I'll quibble with this point a bit; you don't hear his name mentioned because he IS a loser. I had a sinking feeling about the election when he got OWNED by Pence in the VP debate. That "safe" choice played a pivotal role in her loss when we're talking about 80k votes.
  21. Most accessible/ real HC of all time. He talked to a bunch of us idiot fans for about 15 minutes the year I went to Rochester for camp. Just a genuinely terrific human being and a very good DC. Will always be a Wade fan.
  22. I don't think they'll make the mistake of running a retread like the R's did in 08/12 and the D's did in 2016. If the third time isn't the charm, it's time to move on. Not really debating merit in this thread as much as trying to provide some information into what the left is thinking. Bernie, Clinton, and Biden are met with groans from every single fellow primary voter I know. They want to beat Trump more than they want to award someone a lifetime achievement award. Not to say they will beat Trump, but they/we don't view these relics as the path to victory.
  23. GTFOH with doomsday scenario! Ferrell is the real deal. As I've said many times, devote all other resources to offense, but find a STUD pass rusher. If Jonah Williams is half as good as many on this board claim, this is a slam dunk pick. He abused him in the NC game. I'd like the see him run in the 4.6 range and do well in the 3 cone, which I think he will. Also, we're supposed to avoid Clemson DE's? Please. Remember that bum from Cal who slipped in the draft because his predecessors failed? Think he plays for the Packers.
  24. "O’Rourke said he is “very happy” in El Paso. If he joins the race, he added, it would be in response to a sense of obligation." Suuure Beto. In other words, "beg me and I'll run." This guy has a massive ego. The kind of ego required to reach the highest office in the land. He's running.
