  1. Not gonna' get no playoff wins.....character and grit is where it all begins.
  2. Gabbert has zero chance. Harris/Sanders/Biden have a chance. Beto is the odds on favorite. He's got that Obama like charisma that will win over the common folk. He's vague on policy, but Trump proved that policy really doesn't matter. Build a wall? Move the Israeli embassy to Jerusalem? Meh. I'm sure there are a few more examples , but we're gonna replace Obamacare with something "much better" miraculously got him elected. Policy is irrelevant in 2020.
  3. Brings up an interesting question. Would you rather have a team full of good losers or a team full of bad winners? I'll take the latter. So many casual fans think T.O. is some wild animal and Marvin Harrison is the nice guy who handed the ball to the official.
  4. I don't hate that scenario, but there are egos involved. If you swing Dawkins over to LG for a 33 year old, it's hard to imagine him embracing the Bills long term. I suppose you could say the same for a rookie. I'd just feel more comfortable with the LT spot being "solidified," but since this is a big boy sport, you put your best five on the field and let the Dawkins situation play itself out. If it goes this way, we'll certainly need to add a bonafide long term LT in the next two seasons. Lots of possibilities and lots of things that will be sorted out in the draft and in camp.
  5. I think you're missing the point. With Beasley/Kroft/Brown and a revamped line, that 46% completion percentage is gonna improve DRAMATICALLY. You're putting far too much stock in the opinion of Ted Bruschi and Tony Graham.
  6. The fact that NO just keeps signing these players demonstrates how overrated "perpetual" cap space truly is. I'm not taking aim at the Bills rebuild because they did their thing and we'll see if it bears fruit; just noting that during this rebuild, cap space has become a completely overrated "asset." The good teams just wiggle contracts around and such. Let's hope this was the last time we're in the cap space sweepstakes.
  7. Romanowski's definitely playing LB on that squad.
  8. 3000 plus MLB hits. 1000 plus hits in Japan. Just an amazing baseball player with perhaps the best bat control I've ever seen.
  9. Same. I was all primed to cheer for the Bills to land his guy. Now I feel like I'm wandering the forest aimlessly.
  10. Little and Dillard are the two guys that project strictly to LT and neither represent value at 9, so you make a good point. Given the way this particular draft looks, I don't expect to see a shift in 2019. If they were to wiggle their way up from 40, could be a different story. If they take Taylor at 9, Dawkins stays at LT.
  11. J. Williams/Simmons/Gary don't qualify as "big ugly's" so this is not a scientific poll.
  12. Somewhat surprised to see that Isaac Nauta is the only tight end on that list.
  13. In Delaware, the betting is essentially contracted out to William Hill, the largest (legal) bookmaker in the world. I would imagine the in stadium betting would be something akin to that. The last thing I'd trust a state to do is set/adjust lines. Not nearly as easy as people think. But the premise of the Bills being favored by 20 over the Pats at New Era Field is a good one. As an aside, I bet against "my" teams all the time. I'll root for my team to the bitter end but at least have something to show for it when they break my heart.
  14. Ha. Good stuff. But I'm sure any theoretical bookmaking operation in the stadium would be connected to a larger operation and the in stadium betting would only be a fraction of their take. I think it's a great idea and the kind of necessarily innovation required to keep fans coming. Sporting events/concerts etc. are becoming less and less appealing to the masses.
  15. In fairness to Rap, his error wasn't so much what he said but what he DIDN'T say. My take is that the deal WAS finalized between the Bills and Steelers. Rap should have added a disclaimer regarding the trade hinging on AB's willingness to report/Bills willingness to bump his pay.
  16. He looked pretty mobile on that TD reception. Didn't he lead the team in that category in 2018?
  17. There's no doubt the Bills have a chance to win 10, even 11 games if the defense continues to play well and most importantly, Allen takes a big leap. Having worked in sportsbooks for many years, I tend to view predictions through a different lens.
  18. Optimism versus science when the average fan runs into Vegas win totals. Watched it first hand year after year. The Blanks only need to win 6 games and I win? Eeeeeasy money. The real bettors are constantly looking for unders regardless of the sport. If I had to BET on a specific number of Bills victories, I'd go with 7. That seems like an insult, but it would actually be an OVER as it pertains to O/U.
  19. I saw flashes from Allen, Edmunds, Johnson, Teller, Foster and Wallace. Not so much from Phillips. Granted he played a limited amount of snaps, but I don't think he should be viewed as anything more than depth at this point. I would have liked to see him flash a bit more than never.
  20. I think Haskins is a lock to go top 10. Also agree that Jones and Lock would be ridiculous reach's in the top 10. But crazier things have happened.
  21. Here's the rub. Beane and company just went all in to make the roster playoff caliber. Stafford and Ryan have had how many coaches? Brees is the only one that hasn't had extreme organizational changes during their respective careers. So it's safe to say people are gonna start asking a lot of questions if this team doesn't make the playoffs. Rams did it. Bears did it. Eagles did it. Chiefs did it. Texans did it. Every single first round QB taken in the prior two drafts made the playoffs in their second season. Why the heck not us? If you trust the regime and you trust Allen, it's pretty close to playoffs or bust.
  22. Murray and Haskins WILL go before 9. Anyone else would be a huge surprise, but crazier things have happened. Just because a "class" isn't highly touted doesn't mean it's not going to bear fruit. 2017 was considered weak. How'd that work out?
  23. I think it's a question more geared towards people that are not local. If you travel outside of Pittsford, I can assure you there are times when a timid person would have second thoughts about the potential ridicule Bills merch can elicit. It's the offseason. What do you expect?
  24. The only guy that seems to represent value is Taylor and I have some reservations about his ability to play LT in the NFL. It's also probably more likely than not that he'll be gone at 9. That's the conundrum. If Little or someone else were slightly better prospects, it would be a no brainer.
  25. Oh, I'm certainly not saying he hasn't done some STUPID things. I'm just saying that people generally aren't thinking clearly(or soberly) when they make these bad decisions. He's gonna have to bust a** to get another shot. I'm just personally all about giving guys (who didn't kill somebody, etc.) another shot. The bleeding heart type if you will.
