I usually read the sportsguy or MMQB or www.aaronkaro.com or the brushback but I'm all up to date with those site. Anybody have anything good? www.cardplayer.com is also a resource but it takes some time for me to find an interesting article...

I saw the Larry Holmes thing too. It was pretty interesting. A little before my time and I learned a lot about the guy. Good show worth checking out. I find most Beyond the Glories to be pretty good.

Sweet I started a debate on black jack theory. I'm a traditionalist and believe in playing by the book. It drives me nuts when others do not and will cause me to leave. Tell me it's your money all you want but when your dumbass hits a 16 against a 6 and gets a 10 and then I double down 11 and get a stupid 5 instead of the 10 that you stole, then it is my money....

Stayed @ the IP last time, it can't possibly be worse, can it?

The race was good, except for the 24 smashing into the wall near the end of the race, and I even remember the whole thing. Stayed on a pace of 3 beers for every 50 laps and kept that going throughout, so I was feeling good by the end of it. Our seats were almost right on the start finish line in the Terrace level. They were good but not great. You could see the cars coming out of 3 and down the straight away. Tough to see down into turn 1 (where Gordon crashed) but a great view of the pits. It would have been nice if the weather was better, it was about 45 degrees and windy when we got to the track Sunday morning. I've now experienced Dover, Watkins Glen and Pocono and enjoyed Dover the best by far, but maybe because it was the race that popped my cherry. We're off to find a new track next time around, discussing Richmond or Atlanta...

I'm off to Vegas again in about 6 weeks. I've been about every 6 months for the last three years and was there in February so I was about due. A friend of mine qualified for the main event of the WSOP on Full Tilt, so we're going to go out and support him. This time I'm staying at the Tropicana, wasn't my choice but I've never stayed at that end of the strip before so I'll give it a shot. I've heard it has a really nice pool so I'll look forward to checking that out. Has anybody stayed there before? If so any comments? I realize this it isn't the nicest place but that's fine, I'm not really that concerned about where I lay my head for a few hours. Also, anybody who has been out there recently, are there any new sights or attractions in the last six months?

Not sure exactly. I think we're about halfway up. I'll bring a full report back, if I remember anything at all. If my experience at Dover or the Glen is any indication there is about a 50-50 chance I remember the race...

Detroit could also be fun due to the proximity to Windsor...
