I agree that most leagues will not want a team in Vegas, because of the gambling, however, I would think it is probable that a NBA team will be be in Vegas sooner rather than later. That said, Vegas is the fastest growing city in the US, so the fan base would be there.

I won't excuse Butlers actions against BC, but this **** does happen. He is a pretty hard nosed player who by all acounts made one mistake and paid for it.

If I am not mistaken the only time points come into play during the playoffs is the Stanley Cup Finals.

An "A".....hmmmmmm I tend to agree with everthing you said, save the grade, IMHO a grade of A means there was no one else we could have picked up that was better than who we got. My C+ certainly might be a wee bit low, but this draft is certainly somewhere between your grade and mine. With that said, I think that is a very good result. Hey and if the guys at ESPN hate our draft, that can only be a good thing!

I did not get to see the game (daughters lacrosse practice) so I kept checking the Verizon NHL notes on my phone.....The scroll kept showing me the score of the game...but the top article/photo prompt was something to the effect of "Fosberg Magic......" So I got to thinking; If Forsberg doesn't do anything, can the Flyers win? It appears to me that if he is kept from passing, shooting or scoring they have had no one else to take up the slack. IMHO

It is pretty clear that the Bills had identified the position/s they wanted. And when Huff went to the Raiders, the next best saftey on most charts was Whitner. So they took him. This left the other position they had identified for there next pick, DT. The pressure increased as Ngata and Bunkley "certainly" the Bills top ranked DT/s gone or projected to go; thus leaving McCargo as the next highest ranked DT. Accoring to many charts they got the second ranked Safety in the draft and the third ranked DT. Overall I'll give the gentlemen at One Bills Drive a C+, primarily because I really do believe we could have picked up Ngata or Bunkley and then picked up a "quality" DB (certainly not of Whitners value) in the second. Hey another GM might have gambled, ML seemingly won't be known for his poker skills......I think I'll take that. As always time will tell.

Again I like this guy but I really think he was a stretch based on what we "paid' for him. Brandt rates him as the 3rd best DT in the draft behind, Ngata and Bunkly. The question that still is looming is who is protecting JP's backside?

I am certain that he is right...regarding the fit.......But with Justice sitting there, I am also pretty darn certain that McCargo could have been there for our next pick. This just makes no sense.

The thing with Elliot is that you have to look away from the TV and just listen. When he is on he is really good, and last night he was really good. I'll second that! During those sniper days, as the snipers got closer to us here in Richmond (last person shot was in Ashland) it was incredibly scary. The kids could not go outside, all outdoor activities were cancelled, tarps were put up on all classroom windows, rkids ran from teh bus to school building every morning, rumors were running wild! "Joking" about sniper type action in a white van is NO JOKE! You may want to call the Sabres executive office and ask to speak with the director of security.
