Rooting interest in Super Bowl 40
30dive replied to Like A Mofo's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I like the Seahawks, as a 12 year old I was in the Kingdome for their first ever game (albeit a pre-season game) against the San Fransisco 49's, but.............. I cannot stomach another expansion team winning it all before the Bills. Go Steelers! -
OK- Realistically who could the Bills Bring IN
30dive replied to Poeticlaw's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
O-LINE, FULLBACK and TE. These are the only players we needs to bring in to "challenge" JP. Put something around him then we'll judge his abilities. -
JEEEEEEEEEZ read the freekin article........It's a play on words.

These coaching moves are a little strange
30dive replied to BobbyC81's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Most teams have ass't line coaqches. From HS to the Pros I for one look at this as a good thing for the Bills. More coaching equals more eyes on more players. And out line needs all the help it can get. Regarding Wyche, his coaching here was directly related to his relationship with Mularkey. His health is not good, certainly not good enough to be an OC. -
There you go......At least someone gets it

I know your thinking to yourself what the hell is he talking about, but hear me out. In 1986 the Buffalo Bills Media guide featured its punter on the front cover (John Kidd), why the punter? Yes your right most teams have their QB, RB, coach or some other stud. In 1986 the Bills were so bad that the only thing they could hang their hat on was, yes their punter. So now in 2006 our lone selected Pro-Bowl player (I know our long snapper is now going too!) is our punter. Do I think we have a few other things we could hang our hat on this year yes, but let me go with this theroy......1986 top flight punter (ranked 4th all time - Bills) crapy previous season/s, villified head coach and in walks Marv Levy. So now fast forward 20 years to 2006 and look here we've got ourselves a top flight punter (and a pretty good long snapper too!), crapy previous season/s, villified head coach and in walks Marv Levy. God I love stories with happy endings!

Is the Sherman fiasco hurting us with Bates?
30dive replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
What fallout....Sherman seemingly wanted more power than the Bills were willing to give him (this is of course if you believe that he was their first choice). His feelings seem to have been, "if I am going to be the head coach I want more say in the entire football operation", so it looks like he is going to take a job with Houston, not as the OC or any position coach, but ass't head coach. Now that my friends is a great job, nice title, no bad press and he'll make at least $3.2 million dollars. With regards to Bates, I am convinced that coaches, like you and I, when given multiple options, "mull over the offer/s", he'll take the job he feels best about, he isn't looking to screw the Bills, the Texans or Webster Shroeder HS (if the later should call). -
This was going to happen....Sam was brought in under MM and if memory serves me his being here was a test. His test, to see if he could even do the job because of his health. He was given the responsiblities to make JP an NFL QB, he got to work wiht his old student MM and I'm sure that was exciting. I have said many times before that coaching football in the NFL or high school for that matter, is a tough business, tough physically, mentally and with the long hours tough on the family. I am sure Sams deal allowed him a little more free time (yes this is my assumption) than the rest of his "peers" due to his health. Times are a changing at One Bills Drive, Sam's a smart man, the run I'm sure was fun, but I don't expect to see him coaching again...yes even in Miami.

Clayton, like all of these talking heads has to come up with something to talk about every day, a couple times a day. He had Haslett coming here ...90% was the figure I think I heard. These guys, Clayton, Mort.., etc. can say anything they want, it is all a guess, even when "sources close the team/league" are foot noted to their report it is still just a guess, speculation, chuming the football fan waters if you will. And regarding picking Houston over Buffalo, or Buffalo over Houston....C'mon folks these guys can find really nice homes to live in, schools to send there kids to, in any NFL city. It is about the job and the fit/people and dare I say the money.

Damn they were No. # 1 last year.

A gorgeous young redhead goes into the doctor's office and says that her body hurts wherever she touches it. "Hmmm . . ." says the doctor. "Show me." The redhead takes her finger, pushes on her left shoulder and screams. She then pushes her elbow with her finger and screams in even more agony. She pushes her knee and screams; likewise, she pushes her ankle and screams. Everywhere she touches makes her scream. The doctor ponders all this for a few moments and says, "You're not really a redhead, are you?" "Well, no" she says, "I'm actually a blonde." "Just what I thought," the doctor says. "Your finger is broken."

Winning solves everything! The one positive that has come out over these past couple days is that this Dick seems to understand that! -
Jauron radio interview Tues. evening

If I'm not mistaken, the interviewer, Chris Russell, is Tim Russells (Meet The Press) son. The Russell's being from Buffalo makes for a lttle bit of a homer interview. And with some of the national media beating the crap out of the Bills, it is somewhat a breath of fresh air to have a little pro-Buffalo out there. -
I'm really starting to think that the Bills ought to wait for XL to be played and speak with Jim Zorn, QB coach with the Seahawks.
-
I've never quite understood the idea that HOF players like Jim Kelly should come back to coach. Do you realize how much work goes into being a coach? The hours, time and very little pay. Jim Kelly is a multi-millionaire who doesn't need the work. Why would he come back to coach, civic pride? Nonsense! And what tells you that he would be a good coach anyway? The "Jim" I'd like to see in Buffalo has a the last name of Zorn.

Now that's humor!!!!!

And you were able to quote just a little part of it...Wonders!

Subject: birds and bees The New Birds & the Bees The mystery is gone ... How was I born? The little boy asks his father - Daddy, how was I born? Dad responds, ah, my son, I guess one day you will need to find out anyway! Well, you see, your Mom and I first got together in a chat room on MSN. Then I set up a date via e-mail with your Mom and we met at a cyber-cafe. We sneaked into a secluded room, where your mother agreed to a download from my hard drive. As soon as I was ready to upload, we discovered that neither one of us had used a firewall, and since it was too late to hit the delete button, nine months later a blessed little Popup appeared and said: You've got male!

In the year 2005, the Lord came unto Noah, who was now living in the United States, and said, "Once again, the earth has become wicked and over-populated, and I see the end of all flesh before me. Build another Ark and save 2 of every living thing along with a few good humans." He gave Noah the blueprints, saying, "You have 6 months to build the Ark before I will start the unending rain for 40 days and 40 nights." Six months later, the Lord looked down and saw Noah weeping in his yard - but no Ark. "Noah!" He roared, "I'm about to start the rain! Where is the Ark?" "Forgive me, Lord," begged Noah, "but things have changed. I needed a building permit. I've been arguing with the inspector about the need for a sprinkler system. My neighbors claim that I've violated the neighborhood zoning laws by building the Ark in my yard and exceeding the height limitations. We had to go to the Development Appeal Board for a decision. Then the Department of Transportation demanded a bond be posted for the future costs of moving power lines and other overhead obstructions, to clear the passage for the Ark's move to the sea. I told them that the sea would be coming to us, but they would hear nothing of it. Getting the wood was another problem. There's a ban on cutting local trees in order to save the spotted owl. I tried to convince the environmentalists that I needed the wood to save the owls - but no go! When I started gathering the animals, an animal rights group sued me. They insisted that I was confining wild animals against their will. They argued the accommodation was too restrictive, and it was cruel and inhumane to put so many animals in a confined space. Then the EPA ruled that I couldn't build the Ark until they'd conducted an environmental impact study on your proposed flood. I'm still trying to resolve a complaint with the Human Rights Commission on how many minorities I'm supposed to hire for my building crew. Immigration and Naturalization is checking the green-card status of most of the people who want to work. The trades unions say I can't use my sons. They insist I have to hire only Union workers with Ark-building experience. To make matters worse, the IRS seized all my assets, claiming I'm trying to leave the country illegally with endangered species. So, forgive me, Lord, but it would take at least 10 years for me to finish this Ark." Suddenly the skies cleared, the sun began to shine, and a rainbow stretched across the sky. Noah looked up in wonder and asked, "You mean you're not going to destroy the world?" "No," said the Lord. "The government beat me to it."
