  1. I'm unsure if it was an intentional shot or not. I remember being miffed at the time as it was looking like we were going to win that game under Allen. Then we all copped a dose of Petermonia. Looking back, it turned out to be a blessing.
  2. A couple of very bold calls expecting us to win in Pittsburgh. They'll be back a top of their division next season.
  3. Before going down in a blaze of glory.
  4. Ah yes, it's the OD World Cup this year. In England too. I might see if I can pick up a ticket or two for any of the games played in the North. It's also an Ashes summer. IPL is very much all stars of the T20 world. If I was to recommend a version of the game to get someone interested in cricket it would start with T20.
  5. The IPL is fun. Sadly, they've moved it to a subscription sports channel (BT Sport) over here. Highlights are available on a freeview channel but in the age of instant information they're aren't worth watching. I always keep an eye on the Kolkota Knightriders. Mainly in the hope they're losing a game and a talking car comes to the rescue. I'm non-plussed if that includes The Hoff or not. I see there has already been a moment of controversy with Jos Buttler being run-out in the "Mankad" style. Bit odd in cricket where they have stuff which is frowned upon but not against the laws of the game. They're in the same division as my team. I take it Stockport are still in the FA Trophy if Wembley is close? Edit: I see they lost to Fylde in the semi-finals.
  6. Two cups of coffee a day and no more. One first thing on a morning when I get into the office then another around 10:45am. Absolutely no caffeine after midday otherwise I'm bouncing off the walls come evening time when I want to be chilling out. Despite this I still get headaches if I get to about 11am if I haven't had a coffee. It's a strong, strong drug. When I buy cola I get the sugar and caffeine free Pepsi.
  7. Tre White seems c0ck-a-hoop with this.
  8. May I suggest Whitechapel to you? It's set in modern times but the first series revolves around Jack the Ripper copycat murders. The police even employ a "Ripperologist" to help them try and catch the killer. The second series centres around the same police team trying to capture criminals who copy the style of the Kray twins. There are more series but the first two I considered the best.
  9. Or he got the the correct house but didn't have a clue about the third person being a vacuum cleaner? That must have sucked.
  10. Rossiter was a fantastic comedy actor. He was also brilliant in Rising Damp.
  11. Can I ask, just out of interest, how many Bills games people have been to? It seems more acceptable in the US for fans be TV fans where as in the UK supporting a team (soccer) but not going to games is frowned upon and used a ridicule against you.
  12. First started watching the game when I was 10/11 which coincided with the Super Bowl teams of the early 90's . I was hooked by the childish thought the Bills would be playing in the big game very year and it'd be just a matter of short time they'd be champions. Wrong. Despite what happened I never once thought about jumping ship. I decided I wouldn't go to any of the London games until the Bills first played in one. I had to wait a few years for that. Good things come to those who wait. We'll be alright soon.
  13. There's no such thing as luck.
  14. Never! I run in a Bills t-shirts. Wear a cap and hat when out and about. I always wear a piece of Bills clothing when going to the games at Wembley each year.
  15. It woz The Sun that solved it! If it's a serious article from a forensic journal it's probably best reading about it somewhere other than a British rag. I've read a couple of books about the Ripper murders and also done a walking tour of the East End of London where he/she (ooh!) committed the crimes. Interesting stuff.
  16. I trust what GMs do, when they've done it. Never what they say. Even more so a month before the draft.
  17. I think sat behind a wheel being restricted to 65mph will just make me angry like a couple of the replies on here. In all seriousness, I'll have been travelling all the day the previous day (trains, planes etc) and will be tired. The thought of having to drive while tired in a foreign land, different laws and whatnot just doesn't appeal to me. Thank you for all those who took the time to reply.
  18. I watch the 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown shows. They are good. Have you seen the show with the "carrot in a box" segment?
  19. Interestingly, I listened to the Sky Sports "Inside the Huddle" podcast this morning and one of the hosts, Jeff Reinbold, explained one of the Bills personnel team called him some time before the Super Bowl to get his take on Beasley as a person and what his character was like from a young age. This one wasn't a snap reaction to missing out on other WR targets.
  20. I was a garbage man in Venice for 3 years so yeah.
  21. I'd put chilli on chips (fries to you guys) and nachos. I wouldn't dream of putting soup on either. That would be crazy talk. In conclusion, I don't recognise chilli as a soup.
  22. Anybody have any tips on the best way to get from either downtown Toronto or Pearson Airport to Buffalo? So far I've looked at the Greyhound and Amtrak. Both look fairly painless. For information I don't want to hire a car. Thanks.
  23. The "Minsters" don't always get the recognition they deserve. Very subtle, satirical humour. For a more modern Britcom give Derry Girls a go.
  24. I've been making a bobby dazzler of a tomato soup the last few months. Chopped tomatoes Sun dried tomatoes Celery Chillies Red Onion Garlic Paprika Vegetable Stock Stick it all in the slow cooker for 8 hours. Whizz in a food processor to smooth. Ensures there's enough for 4 lunches at work during the week.
  25. The Ebor Festival isn't until August?!
