Bosa is an oft injured waste of time and money. He’s outlived his productive time but he still is expensive. He’s just a bad fit for us.

Watching the playoffs again, i’m okay with Bass for now
HamptonBillsfan replied to Billsfed1's topic in The Stadium Wall
Bass is an example of a guy that may have needed to experience failure and come through it in order to find his way. He was money in the playoffs and I must admit I wanted him dealt anywhere or just released, but with tremendous support by Sean and his teammates, he proved something. Maybe he becomes dependably solid going forward. -
Let's be honest, Josh probably has 5 good seasons left
HamptonBillsfan replied to Steptide's topic in The Stadium Wall
So the guy who plays through minor injuries and is built like Reacher has 5 good years left. What kind of frustrated hater who trolls Bills forums with incendiary foolishness are you? Great athlete QBs like Josh don’t hit their prime until 32 to 35. Silly post. -
Free Agents we like for the 2025 Bills?

Shakir is the best slot receiver in football with incredible YAC yardage and he gets open consistently. He’s a drafted star that must be paid. He’s going to b a on a different price level than Higgins. Josh loves him and he always produces. What message would it send to let Shakir walk? -
Cook and Shakir are a given. Bernard is a good player but he’s replaceable. With the contracts of Allen, Cook, Oliver, Shakir,Milano ,and a FA edge or safety, that leaves limited resources. I thought Hollins was great on the field and in the locker room. LB, corner and receiver should be addressed in the draft.

If you could get a high 2nd round pick you would have to take it. Matt is great but he can’t stay on the field and as he gets older injuries are easier to come by. I think Dorian Williams can be an adequate replacement while a young drafted LB develops .

The Eagles beat the Chiefs by doing the opposite of the Bills

That’s the problem with our brain trust, they keep fielding a “bend don’t break”, reactive defense with just average athleticism. We never get enough pressure to rattle good QBs, we never disrupt receivers at the line and give free releases that our mediocre secondary can’t cover. Our best LBs are often injured(Milano, Bernard) and it’s time to take a big swing. Beane and Sean are not great with defensive personnel. They think they have an all time great at QB and that will be enough if we surround him with a decent O -line and some good weapons. For most of our schedule it should be enough, but to bring a championship to Buffalo our defense must be dominant. When we went to SBs, our defense was dominant. When we won AFL championships, our defense was dominant. -
This is now on Beane, no question he needs to step up.
HamptonBillsfan replied to SoonerBillsFan's topic in The Stadium Wall
Here’s the problem with Beane, he’s got us in cap purgatory and there is one special player on our entire defense, Oliver. He keeps running it back with unproductive or injury prone players. Epenesa. Von, Jones, Hamlin, Rapp, Phillips, Milano. We don’t get consistent pressure against top QBs and it’s bend don’t break and let’s win shootouts. If we can’t assemble a more impactful defense through the draft and 2nd tier FAs, there will be other teams catching up with us and the Chiefs, Ravens, and Eagles being there every year.We will have to pay Cook, Shakir and Rousseau and drafting way back. He’s painted himself into a corner. -
Is it time to move on from McDermott?
HamptonBillsfan replied to Monty98's topic in The Stadium Wall
Sean isn’t going anywhere. He had a great year and ownership and Beane love him. With Josh being a Sean advocate he’ll be here for the foreseeable future. In his defense his in game coaching decisions showed improvement and with a few additions we might be able to win a championship with him. Stranger things have happened. -
Anyone else for using our draft capital for trades?
HamptonBillsfan replied to SoonerBillsFan's topic in The Stadium Wall
We have to use draft choices to improve the roster because that’s what teams want. The idea of getting a starter on rookie deals is appealing to every GM. We need a proven difference maker at the edge rusher position to make us more impactful vs great QBs. Our other needs can be accomplished with 2tier FAs or the draft. -
The type of wide receiver Josh needs

The linesman with the best view ran in a yd past the line to gain. All of a sudden the linesman from the other side comes running in 3/4 of a yd behind the other linesman but still past the line to gain. All of a sudden the ball is placed a foot behind the worst potential placement. The big question is why did the linesman with the best view defer to the other lineman to such a large degree. There are many credible sports talk personalities who noticed this phenomenon and voiced their opinion of a totally blown call on the biggest play of a championship game.( Mad Dog, Adam Shein, Greg Costello, J.Mac from the Herd) It’s over now but objective observers know the weakness of officiating can and determine outcomes. -

Hey BangARang, who he was in college was the leading receiver on an undefeated FlaSt. team with 11TDs, 50 receptions for just under 600 yds in 12 games. Just bury the 33rd choice in the draft after his rookie season where he was injured on a cheap shot. Both that play and the PI against Baltimore was the biggest play of a division playoff win. Sometimes it takes a few years for receivers to get productive. Look at the Marvin Harrison Jrs stats. He had 800 yds with 8 TDs in 3 more games than Keon. Keon had 4 TDs, averaged 20 yds a reception and 30 catches in 13 games. for just under 600 yards. If Keon was playing hurt the last 4 games I think any objective observer would give him a.pass for a not being a top receiver after his rookie year. -

You’re still being premature and write off everyone if you like. Just remember when these young guys start ballin, you pounded the table to dump 1st rd drafted guys after a bad rookie or 2nd yr season on a team that went to the AFC championship. The knee jerk reaction to falling short of the SB is similar to the silliness writing off Josh after going 6 and 11 his first season. I’m sure you know how easy it is to replace these guys. -

Everyone knows that 4th down mistake by the linesman was a game changer. We could have been playing Sunday but I know this team with Josh will have our time. Go Eagles
