  1. Of course we cant be 'sure' the blame for poor O line play is on Bobby Johnson, but I agree that it's strange that all/most of the takes/opinions so far havent included him as a potential reason. I was listening to the locked on Bills podcast this morning and kept wondering why none of the listener questions about the o line mentioned him. Joe Marino (the host) didnt mention Johnson either which was surprising as he's usually thorough and extensive when it comes to diagnosing issues.
  2. Great watch. thanks for posting. I must admit I had my doubts early on as to whether TJ would become an integral part of this team. Very happy to be proven wrong on that and it looks like he will continue to improve. He's benefitted from great leadership both from the coaching staff and the likes of Hyde, Poyer and White. A great situation for any young player to be part of. Laughed out loud at McDermott saying that his main focus during the Ravens pick 6 was making sure everyone on the sideline remained calm and didn't end up getting a flag ... a good example of the attention to detail and mindset that is being discussed in the 'Sean McDermott is just killing it thread'. Go Bills, is it Monday night yet?
  3. Whilst there is always room for a JCVD gif in any post 😀 the movements that Milano is making in that vid are very possible to carry out with a hamstring strain, without experiencing much pain at all. I'm not saying the video confirms he is really struggling with the hamstring, but I would like to see movements where the leg is extended straight out more before being confident he will be able to play on Sunday.
  4. Poor choice of words and also very poor timing... not what this team needs to be dealing with in the build up to the most important game of the season so far. An excellent receiver, a very important part of the offence... but should have cut his twitter access along with his hair.
  5. Of course... I just wasn't fully aware of the practice squad protection process and wondered IF Anderson was the 4th protected player last week, would it have meant the Eagles couldn't have signed him.
  6. Could this have been avoided if there had been a 4th practice squad player (Anderson) protected last week instead of 3? That decision seemed strange at the time. At what point in the week does the protected status start and end? (Is it Monday to Sunday for example?)
  7. Constant clapping throughout the meetings is the current mitigation of choice.
  8. Roll on kick off. It's felt like a long week. Go Bills! Let's bounce back and get the season started. Dont really care how they win. Just win.
  9. Haven't read all of the thread, so may be repeating the views of others, but for me personally a defeat alters my week (in terms of consuming media, message board usage) as follows: 1. Avoid any game replays (I usually watch the 1hr summary of the game mid week) 2. I'd watch a few minutes here and there of shows like GMFB and Pro Football Talk with Florio and Simms, I usually watch 50% or more of that content on a winning week. 3. Reduction in the number of podcasts I consume in the week, however I never miss the daily Locked on Bills podcast, even after a defeat. With regards my usage of this message board after a defeat... whilst there is an awful lot of knee jerk takes and over reactions, I do find that there are a lot of well reasoned posters/posts and links to content here that helps me make sense of the defeat. Why did it happen, what went wrong, how can that be fixed, what was positive in the defeat. So I'd say I'm on here for the same amount of time on a winning week than a losing week. Sad, I know! Here's hoping for a more optimistic and jovial community from Sunday night onwards after we squish those fish. Go Bills!
  10. White on white I read earlier. Would have preferred white on blue. EDIT: Link below https://sports.yahoo.com/uniforms-bills-steelers-wear-week-165631993.html
  11. I'd like to think not... but I'd LOVE the chance to find out.
  12. ... plus he mentioned that Fairburn would be back as a guest twice a year, for the Pats preview shows I think.
  13. Matthew Bové will be replacing Fairburn on the next Buffalo Beat podcast with Joe B... not sure if that is a permanent replacement or just for the Steelers game reaction episode. EDIT: Bové is in for the post game reaction shows only going forward according to Joe B on the latest pod.
  14. I think I heard on the cover 1 podcast that McDermott said Star was 'trending in the right direction' earlier this week, so he shouldn't be out for long. Yes we could use him against a likely heavy dose of Najee Harris on Sunday but I think we will be better off this year when Star is missing due to an improved Harrison Philips, who seems fine after that recent knee scare. We'll still have enough for Sunday and Star will be available soon after I would say. Lets see how Ed Oliver and Tremaine Edmunds do this week (who stand to benefit the most from a proper 1-Tech) and then compare it to how they do next week when hopefully Star returns.
  15. Shame, he was a good pairing with Joe B on the Buffalo Beat pod.
  16. That thought did occur to me last night Gunner... not sure what that says for us!! Yes I think I'll go for the Athletic, I've been putting it off for a while which is daft really given the amount of time I spend reading sports coverage ... might as well enjoy better quality content.
  17. I can see that angle too and appreciate where you're coming from. I'm not suggesting, by any means, that this is high brow journalism and yes, some of it goes way over the top. When read without taking it all seriously though, (as I think was intended) I thought there were a few laughs in there. As far as the well thought out part goes... I just meant that the writer, who I'm assuming is not closely liked with the Bills, had a fairly good understanding of more than a few storylines and areas of discussion related to the team. Especially compared to some outlets that have based the majority of their off-season commentary on a handful of Cole Beasley tweets and ran with it for clicks. ... or maybe this really is a wake up call for me and I just need to start paying for the Athletic! 😀
  18. I'm really concerned this guy is going to cost us a few games this season with all this goofing around. Surely McDermott needs to put and end to this nonsense asap. 😀😀I'm kidding, I love it. Keep it up. Bring on Sunday. Go Bills 🍻🍻
  19. A fair bit of thought and effort went into that. Had a good laugh. 😀 There's more factual and well thought out Bills insight in that article than some of the recent 'serious' Bills content I'm seeing (Allen will regress, Covid will be a big distraction for this team etc.)
  20. just watched the GMFB segment ... Mike Rob high on the Bills and Josh Allen as always. But why not?!! On to the game, I see TJ Watt AND Stephon Tuitt could be missing for this one for the Steelers.
  21. Long Snapper* * but only if you've spent your whole life trying to be a Defensive End.
  22. Great to see that confirmed for next Sunday Gunner, I was expecting our game to be covered live on Sky but was expecting their choice for that time slot to be confirmed early next week - well done on getting the info so soon. I have a nice new TV arriving on Monday and will be all set!! Can't wait. The Chiefs Browns game will be a good watch afterwards. Yes it was amazing how much coverage the Bills got on Sky Sports UK last season, hoping for more of the same this year. They love talking about Obada on their content shows so that can only help further.
  23. ...and Kim Pegula seemed to like it!
  24. If only Taiwan Jones could have hand delivered the document to the communications team we'd have found out at 4.01pm eastern time.
  25. Looks like Smoke requested his release from the Raiders. According to an article I intended to post a link to but can no longer find! Sorry.
