Please excuse the novice question here, but this puzzled me last night during the Steelers vs Bengals game: I know the Bengals long snapper was injured and they used (I think) a TE to snap for the field goals, which didn't go so well and negatively impacted the kicking operation. So, my question is, why did they not just use their Center to snap on special teams instead of the TE? Surely that would have been a better option? Thanks in advance. 👍

I can't believe we've reached almost 3 pages and nobody has suggested paring him with Ed Oliver as the opposite DE as yet! We'd be unstoppable then! ...(runs for cover!)

Thanks for posting all the updates guys. Much appreciated. Seems like a great night in OP... and it sounds like no injuries as far as I can tell. Go Bills! That '13 Seconds' jersey? Disgusting... can't get my head around that one at all. I can't even watch it never mind wear it.

The Locked on Bills (with Joe Marino) podcast tomorrow is on the topic of Tremaine Edmunds. I'm guessing it will be similar to the Levi Wallace episode this time last year where he tries to provide a balanced view (backed up by stats etc.) of a player that divides opinion among Bills fans in the hope of highlighting how important/effective a player he is to the team. I'd say it will be worth a listen and may (or may not!) spark some interesting conversation on this thread.

If I'd have known this is what they meant by a 'receiving' back I'd have stayed in Miami!

Rousseau and Basham at the Von Miller Pass Rush Academy
NI Bills Fan replied to HappyDays's topic in The Stadium Wall
Great to see our young pass rushers making the most of every learning opportunity they can get. With that said though... Hopefully Miller is reserving the really insightful knowledge for Bills only training sessions... keep the rest of the NFL in the dark and unleash unseen hell when it matters. -

Is Calvin Austin still available? Or have I missed him being picked Edit: I see he is... thanks Gunner. -
We have 6 picks, but how many players do you think we end up actually picking on day 3 (excluding UDFAs) after potential trade ups? Could it be as low as 3? Given the strength of this roster its hard to see many late round picks having a realistic chance of sticking.

Looking forward to tonight... plenty of picks, plenty of talent still available, likely trade ups. Shame there is no 4th round pick but maybe Beane fixes that early. Punter is a need but after Beane's press conference I would be surprised if that doesn't come via UDFA. Biggest box to check for me is a capable and reliable returner. Im sure there will be some OL taken too...cant imagine a draft without 1 or 2 of those. Hopefuly round 4 is QB heavy which will help us. EDIT: after rechecking, more QBs went last night than i had originally thought so scratch that!

Josh Allen Rookie card sold for $264, 000, value is now at $312,000
NI Bills Fan replied to HOUSE's topic in The Stadium Wall
Staggering money that! Plus I heard the guy thought he was buying a Josh Rosen card and nearly threw the Josh Allen one out when he realized. Good job he didn't!! -

Great watch, thanks for posting. The only slightly negative takeaway I have is that his (and his agents) reaction to the deal offered by the Bills suggests we may have been able to save a few $ and offer a bit less. However that may have opened the door for Cleveland/Dallas/LA so maybe not. And yes ... his dad is a legend already! -
Im also 42, from the UK and the rest of the above about sums me up too 😀 My introduction to football was through the early Madden games, i knew very little about the sport until then. I picked the Bills as Thurman Thomas was a weapon in the game. I then started watching games on 'Channel 4' to see if number 34 in real life could match his Madden skill... he didnt disspaoint and I've been hooked ever since. The runs to the superbowls were great and cemented my fandom. However the late nights/early mornings watching those superbowls as a kid totally crushed me. When we finally win one my 12 year old self will roar in delight. My dad's sister lived in Toronto in the 90s so on my sole visit there i convinced my parents to drive to Buffalo and stood outside the stadium in Orchard Park in awe. It was May/June and nothing of note happening, but I'll never forget it and cant wait to make it back for a the real thing... which I'll need to do in the next 4 years of course. Go Bills. Wouldnt change a thing.
