  1. If the culture here is really so good, then surely it can withstand (or even turn around) 1 or 2 non choir boy types without upsetting the balance or falling apart. If not, then the culture is fragile, not strong.
  2. First step... win on Thursday night. There's a long way to go yet.
  3. We could bring him in to help Beane 'kick' the can down the road on addressing the WR room. Am i doing this right!? 🙂
  4. Good news, maybe the knee injury that required surgery was limiting him at the start of the season. Lets hope it's fully resolved now and he can make an impact.
  5. Apologies if already posted/discussed elsewhere... Beane called Jets regarding Garrett Wilson according to some. https://heavy.com/sports/nfl/new-york-jets/garrett-wilson-buffalo-bills-nfl-trade/ Although hasnt Beane admitted to calling around to gain info on potential costs on players even when not directly interested in trading for them? So maybe this isn't news.
  6. 😀 Is that you Jeffrey Lebowski?
  7. Such a shame to lose him after that start. Him and Oliver on the field at the same time would be tought to defend. What could have been. All is not lost though, get the injured DTs back, keep Bosa healthy and this line can still cause problems.
  8. An old football (soccer) coach of mine used to say "If my auntie had balls she'd be my uncle"! I think that applies to this conversation.
  9. You've reminded me of this... https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=GxRo0KC4ivw
  10. He had 27 snaps, 12 of which were coverage snaps.
  11. Pacheco considered 'week to week' after MCL sprain. May well miss sunday. https://buffalowdown.com/bills-run-defense-catches-major-break-after-latest-chiefs-injury-update-01k8p69vya1p Apologies if already posted, I didn't spot it on last couple of pages.
  12. Whilst I don't disagree with any of that, which is a very good summary of McDermott's philiosophy, I think the fear is that the bend don't break and rely on timely turnovers, is much more likely to completely break against the better teams that we will face, especially in the post season (as recent history has shown).
  13. Yes i read Kirwan's 'Take your eyes off the ball' book... an excellent read, especially for someone like me who (living in Ireland) has never played the game, or been coached etc. It defintely helped me understand the game and get more out of watching it.
  14. So you're telling me I no longer have to turn the TV off and on 17 times before kick off and watch the game standing on one leg to make sure we have a chance? This is great news!
  15. How many 300+lbs men did you move against their will at work yesterday? (😀 just kidding around btw ... not meant to be serious or disrespecful ... especially as a long time Plantar Fasciitis sufferer myself )
  16. So we played poorly (at times) on both sides of the ball and still managed to win against a top 3 opponent? I'll take that.
  17. Spleen was removed first thing this morning. They're still having a look at the leg apparently.
  18. ...and to get some hard knocks airtime.
  19. Nice. Thanks for posting. If you turn the audio up really loud you can hear just how terribly confused the wind was.
  20. Congratulations to the Knox family!! Almost 5 minutes and no dropping the baby joke?! The standards on this message board are slipping 😀
  21. Did the Steelers and Dolphins GMs go out drinking together all day yesterday and come up with these trades?
  22. Born and bred in Northern Ireland. 25 minutes outside Belfast. Lived in the same town for my 46 years apart from a few years in Edinburgh (University, or College in US speak 🙂) How is it? A much better place to live in now compared with the 70s to mid late 90s, during the sectarian conflicts. The weather sucks though! We don't have the harsh winters like in Buffalo but we rarely get any prolonged good dry sunny weather. Even a short hop across the pond to southern England seems to be much better weather wise.
  23. Agreed Mr WEO, but I only live an hour from Dublin, so I'm very familiar with the place. I do treasure my 1pm Sunday kickoffs (6pm for me) and we don't have too many this year. But hopefully I'll get to watch it with a pint of Guinness somewhere after the Steelers game. Albeit i might miss the first quarter.
  24. Hi all, My friend got 2 tickets for the Vikings v Steelers game in Dublin. I really don't like missing Bills games on TV so needed a bit of convincing to go! Just wondering if any board members are going and also does anybody know of any Bills backers bars in Dublin that might be showing our game agains the Saints? Thanks.
