I think the idea was to leave the game having scored a TD not basically getting shutdown with that FG in the first half, so basically a mental thing, or imaginary, or bull####.
The game should be over, but McDermott isn't going to just put backups in while they leave the 1s in and watch them suddenly drop points real quick while getting stops and suddenly maybe we need to have our starters in after all.
Punting ST is just mailing it in today on both sides, though returns finally picked it up at the end there, and punt coverage has probably been alright besides this one.
