McDermott is in charge of the defense if at the end of the game you decide to kick the field goal instead of going for it to get the game winning TD then you need to get the ***** STOP! You've decided to put the game in the hands of your defense to either win it by not letting them get a FG or holding them to a FG for a tie or to get a shot with the ball again to win. You make that decision it's on you and it's on the defense.

I think there might have been something specifically off with him tonight as people seemed to note him coming off at times that was unusual but I don't know about an actual drop-off this year, there was the midseason offensive collapse in which everything was awful and the Jets game where things picked up but he had some drops early and was like before heavily covered and game planned for by the opposing defense. Hopefully whatever was off with him today will be better through the bye and we'll see him and Allen clicking more with the offense that doesn't appear to be a fluke.

Yeah if it was just the refs I would have just been pissed, but the kneeling out the end of the 4th lack of getting after the poor officiating and just overall soft ass defense at the end that was all too familiar was deflating. The Dolphins do still play the Cowboys and the Ravens also the Jets but they don't have an offense so it's tough but even the AFC East isn't technically impossible two losses and the last game of the year is for the division if we win out. As for the wildcard plenty of the teams in it play each other which should give us an opportunity to get ahead of one of them.

Kincaid is getting better but has flipped the switch yet, Diggs seemed a little off this game or that's what people seemed to say I had to find ways to see the game so not the best observer today. Cook is pretty good yeah he should have caught that and had a TD but ***** weather and drops are going to happen, not going to write him off when he's been effective too often, and Shakir is turning it on more as we have a play caller that spreads the love. Hopefully if there's anything up with Diggs it's better after the bye and him and Allen are on the same page, but it's Diggs or hopefully the rookie takes another step or two if we want someone else to help carry the load. Knox should be back too and not hampered by injury but he's more good/decent.
