You just listed two sites with something in common. Can you figure it out?
Maybe if Buffalo gets a 2nd franchise with 2x psl’s, revenue, etc. and 25 year naming rights agreement worth $500M then the Pegulas could get it done.
Why did so many on this board went to the “likely bluffing” or they will never move narrative? You have zero idea how serious the Bills were about relocating. History has clearly shown that moving a team is pretty easy.
The environment has changed. Construction costs have risen sharply. It is unprecedented. The next team desiring a new stadium will have a different mindset going forward about a new stadium and how to fund it. Like Josh’s contract, in a couple of years this deal will seem pretty good.
Looks like I will be rooting for the Bucs several times this year. Kind of glad Brady is back. Wins against the Chiefs, Ravens and Bengals at home will be very helpful.
The coefficients required for snow loads would make that roof really expensive to build without impacting site lines with traditional columns. They would have to get super creative.
Construction costs are outrageous now. Can’t go by a raw cost. Needs to go by a some ratio.
Should have done this 6 or 7 years ago. Would have saved hundreds of millions.
I have built 15 Urgent Care sites (remodels) over the last 2.5 years.
Construction only costs in that time went from just under $300/sf to over $500 sf for the last site.
Completely agree with you but there is a difference with the NY City stadiums compared to WNY. They can get the numbers to be more palatable by assessing a tourist tax on hotels, etc.
Don’t have that luxury here unless they make the tax more widespread around the State.
