Yeah, it's crazy. I assume if it didn't specifically happen in practice yesterday that its maybe soreness or something tweaked in the game that didn't really become a "thing" until later in the week. But the walking boot part of it sounds bad...

I think it will definitely be hard fought. It always is at Met Life for the Bills. I for one am not chocking this one up as a gimme by any stretch.

That's my hope as well. With the players returning from suspension and injury, and the younger guys getting more reps, I'm hoping we play our best D in the playoffs. One of these years it has to happen!

One thing I appreciated about what McD said is that they need to have tough conversations. I assume this will be geared toward the younger guys on D, also the safeties, and even LBers. And, hopefully, they reemphasize FG/XP blocking. Someone on X posted a clip of an early-game Bills XP try and the final FG and both times our blocker on our right end blocked outside and let a man through the gap to his inside. We got lucky this time, but they need to coach that (and other things) up. You, sir, are a liar (only because I stashed Godwin on my FF team bench).

I'm quite sure McDermott's approach isn't what transpired. The players still need to play well, regardless of the approach. It was week 1, we DO have some undersized players on D, and the Ravens ARE a great team. We were always going to give up points and yards to the Ravens. We just were. Sure, lots of the D didn't play well, but again, I don't think it's because McDermott had a bad plan.

I will say that now that we have Allen, I'm glad that other teams are destroying their young QBs careers. We don't need anymore competition until we get our first SB. Selfish, I know.

I would like to think that the defense will play better after watching they watch the tape of the Ravens game. Generally speaking, when we've had poor performances, we'll usually improved for the next game. Also, while Hall is a very good back, he's not Henry (i.e. a freak who is the size of a DT, but has the speed of a WR).

I think if this is getting to you, maybe it's because you feel guilty that you gave up on the game...it's not Josh's fault. I gave up on the game too and bitched about it non-stop on the game thread...then we won, and I couldn't be happier lol
